Unsportingness.

A great part of playing the game, is being able to have fun and laugh with your opponents, even if you're getting your ass kicked ;)

I agree. But there's a point where it stops being a laugh and starts being gloating. If you're chatting and occasionally you're saying stuff like "did you see that?!" .. fair enough. If the only thing you say between rounds is some remark about who you just killed .. that's different.

When I'm in an 'annoying' mood I have a bind setup that says LOL - Pooned. I use it everytime I kill someone.

Works a treat.

I also spam voice chat when I'm in that mood. So not only do I piss off the enemy but also my own team mates. If only TK's were non-punishable like they were backin the day.

For some reason, the whole "ul" thing strikes me as incredibly arrogant and rude.

Anyone else feel that?

When it's used after every single loss then it's idiocy. But it's meant to suggest either you were really close to winning or that you really had no chance against such odds - at least that's how I use it. Don't see how it could be rude.

I'll know not to use it for you in the future Dazza

sorry Dazza, I didn't mean it like that. I feel a bit bad just ignoring my teammates after they get wasted, and not saying anything. saying something shows people were watching you as you played and were hoping for you to win, instead of going to get a drink or a biscuit as soon as they died. or something.

if no-one talks about the game the atmosphere disappears, surely???

But I still think it's really really really annoying. If someone says 'ul' I just feel anger inside, rather than if they said 'hard luck' and i'd probably feel quite happy :)

Yessir, you can say that too  B)

It may be time to resurrect the anger management thread.
