FINALLY EVERYTHING IS DONE!

Final play-testing now and then a release. EXCITEMENT INCREASING!!

Holy motherfather! I was on the site earlier and I didn't bother to check the list... Ahh, I'm really excited about this. Do I remember correctly when they said that the patched rom will actually work on GBA flashcarts and the like? I'd really rather play this on the DS with my R4 and 3-in-1 cart than on my mac's rubbish GBA emulator.

Yeah it'll run fine on a flashcart.

I'll be purchasing a 3 in 1 especially for this when it's released :ph34r: Can't wait. Did try the JP version and sort of toddled about the place for an hour or so before thinking "I really shouldn't be playing this... will wait for the inevitable translation" and lo n' behold, it's on our doorstep!

God, I can barely sleep thinking about it.

Annoyingly I'm expecting my 3-in-1 to arrive tomorrow along with my new CycloDS and I've got a whole big pile of university withdrawal bollocks to sort out and a flat to move out of and knowing my luck the patch will come out tomorrow, and I'll have missed the bloody post because I'm too busy getting on with RL.

EDIT : VermillionSands, the actual gameplay (as in the battle system) is a lot more involved this time. There's like a rhythm based element to it and it's a lot more fun than the original battle systems. Also it's charming as fuck! You'll love it.

My only dilemma now is whether to start the game over or to continue from where my JP save left off... oh god! DECISIONS DECISIONS!

New Save! It's always nice when we have a few people playing through together, like in the DQIV thread. :) I'll be playing mine on my DS too, I'm so freaking excited about this!

You can't patch a game with a save anyway, can you? Maybe you can, I'm not that sure about these things, I assumed that when he said "clean rom" he meant no save!

And yeah, I'm checking Mato's posts in the comments every few hours waiting for big news. I hope it comes soon!

I'm not sure what the current status is but either in one of the comments or the FAQ it has been stated that old saves will work with the patched game but names chosen by the player won't display correctly. I think emulators generally save to a different file from the ROM image anyway, so don't worry about having played the ROM - it's still clean if you've used it!
