Recommended Posts

1 A Silver Mt. Zion - Goodbye Desolate Railyard 18
2 Day for Airstrikes - The Sun Shines The Same In Every City 17
3 Secret Chiefs 3 - Blaze Of The Grail 16
3 Secret Chiefs 3 - Hagia Sophia 16
5 Send More Paramedics - The Heathen 15
5 Secret Chiefs 3 - The End Times 15
7 Björk - An Echo, a Stain 14
7 Preston School of Industry - Solitaire 14
7 Frank Zappa - Twenty Small Cigars 14
7 Secret Chiefs 3 - Lapsis Baitulous 14
7 Secret Chiefs 3 - The Indestructible Drop 14
7 Secret Chiefs 3 - Book T: Exodus 14
7 A Silver Mt. Zion - The Pretty Little Lightning Paw 14
14 Explosions in the Sky - Glittering Blackness 13

Quite a tie there for seventh.

I'm also a LastFm user, it ties in nicely with XBMC which I use as a jukebox down stairs.

EDIT: Non of those tracks are what I've chose to play particularly, it's just how they get picked from random, although Secret Chiefs I did listen to a lot, hence the number of tracks there.

It has been doing it ages on OSX I think, but as of yet there is no support for Windows doing this.

I use Windows and it does do it.

Newest version of iTunes, 4G 20Gb iPod.

It's done it from day one. I even checked earlier to make sure.

Top 10:

Feeder - Buck Rogers

Hard-Fi - Hard to Beat

Kings of Leon - King of the Rodeo

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps

Death Cab for Cutie - The Sound of Settling

Aqueduct - The Suggestion Box

Interpol - evil

Razorlight - Don't Go Back to Dalston

Kings of Leon - Taper Jean Girl

Modest Mouse - Float On

Quite surprising, thought there would have been more Death Cab, Postal Service, Idlewild and Offspring up there rather than Yeah Yeah Yeah's or Aqueduct.

1- Evil Nine - Crooked

2- Nu Shooz - I Can't Wait

3- Black Science Orchestra – Downtown Science

4- Nick Holder – Summer Daze

5- BT – Smartbomb (Plump DJs remix)

It's fucking annoying that, if you've got the latest firmware, smart playlists only update when you plug your iPod into iTunes. I had loads of money playlists set up that don't get updated on the go anymore- my "Play me an hour of hip-hop from the eighties that I haven't listened to in the last three months" list was a godsend.

This doesn't really reflect current listening. Is there any way to reset the play count list?

Why would you want to do that? The whole idea of it is to see which tracks consistently at the top over a massively long period of time. Eventually everything will even out and you'll get the best possible indication of your top 25 tracks. The bottom half of mine changes quite often, but the top half stays almost always identical.

Mainly listened to that stuff a while ago, haven't listened to enough (of me 30GB load) to get any sort of most played.

Like my Last.FM account reads this for the top ten artists played:

1 Biffy Clyro 216

2 Reuben 204

3 Clutch 168

4 AFI 134

6 Bad Religion 112

7 Gay For Johnny Depp 101

8 Felix da Housecat 91

9 Polysics 77

10 The Arcade Fire 75

Air - Playground Love.

412 plays. Christ.

Awesome, love that song.

Plaid - Eyen (46)

Os Mutantes - A Minha Menina (32)

Plaid - Assault on Precint Zero (30)

I wouldn't even have thought of Plaid if you asked me to name 10 bands I liked.

The "What record have you played the most" thread prompted me to bump this thread:

Nice one.. thanks! And my post from that very thread.

Not to sure about some of this.. sure Leftfield's Song Of life should be there and some of it I hardly ever listen to but this is a gist. Shouldn't there be am iTunes Top 25 Most Played screengrab thread?

In fact some of that list mystifies me completely.. perhaps cos most of listening comes directly from my iPod rather than the Powerbooks iTunes? Still, I certainly caned Tony Di Bart's The Real Thing for a few nostalgic months last year.

Maybe we should all make an effort to "aquire" everyone elses no. 1 (if you don't already have it), could discover a lot by that.
