i met and fell in love with my DS many months ago... we were a happy couple, but the initial excitement of our love became a bit stale... we needed some excitement in our relationship, and it came, boy did it come!!

METEOS...

this revolutionised our relationship... every moment seemed special, we were spending time together, we were enjoying our company again :D life was good...

but then...

i first spied her at a friends, sleek, stylish, she was classy...

PSP was her name... at first i thought she was all style no substance, i brushed her off with her figure and flashness... i went home to my good old DS, with its homely looks and rugged charm... and thought all was well... but then i saw PSP again, and this time she started to use her charms on me... LUMINES... the very name sounded exotic... i flirted at first, a quick blast, a few goes on the vs computer mode... nah, its got nothing on my meteos i thought...

but then things started getting weird... my dreams and fantasies started to become about Lumines NOT meteos... i started to think of Lumines when playing Meteos!!! and now here i am!!

Is this just a fling?!? will i ever return to My DS?!? is there anything she has to offer me that will overcome the lure of Lumines?!?

please help me!!

I was hooked on my DS when I got it last year, but when I bought my PSP and I didn't touch it for months. Then Electroplankton, Nintendogs and Kirby were released which drew me back for a couple of weeks, but I was back on the PSP again with Hot Shots Golf, Lumines and more recently Virtua Tennis and Burnout.

Since Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow was released though, I hadn't powered up my PSP in October until just a few days ago. I realised this when I hadn't seen October's orange wallpaper before :D

It's all about the games you see, and I can imagine myself devoting my time to the PSP when GTA is out. But of course, Mario Kart will come along and I'll be back on the DS. It'll be a neverending cycle, and I love them both.

Which is exactly how it should be Paulando. Both systems can co exist.

I'd say I've spent an equal amount of time on PSP and DS but in terms of which I will play the most it's going to be the DS. It seems to have staying power with the amount of quality games that keep coming out and god I can't wait for Mario Kart DS. PSP is still looked at as an inferior PS2 and thus ports are easy but that's for another thread.

How about loving them both? When I get tired of Castlevania or Advance Wars I play some SSX and I'm looking forward to GTA.

The good thing about consoles is that they won't bitch when you're playing the other one. Unlike women.

Like menage-a-trio?

But the DS... it's just a piece of art. I'm hurrying to get to bed, cause I want to lay there all snug with my Phoenix Wright.

:D

my PSP is gathering dust... but I'm holding onto it just in the off chance that someone takes full advantage of its capabilites and produces a truly wonderous piece of handheld entertainment (Lumines has worn off now... )

There's so many ace games for the DS just now that I don't have enough time to play my cube, xbox or PS2, never mind the PSP!

It's a blessing that there are so many emulator for the machine!

It's the only thing that keeps it from petrification!

Ok and burnout maybe...

It's just a honeymoon period mate. I was all over that cheap slut when she appeared with her jaw-dropping looks, and delicious curves, but after a few weeks you soon get bored. Sure the missus is at home and she may not look quite as pretty, but she's a lot more interactive (if you know what I mean).

I just find fiddling around with my DS a lot more enjoyable than playing on a PSP. For me, once I got over the 'oh my god it's (insert name here) in the palm of your hand' I just got bored with it.

I know the above sounds shit, but I was keeping it in line with the original post

I was exactly the same.

I bought a DS and liked it, got bored extremely quickly, liked it again and then the PSP came along and the DS has been gathering dust. Even Nintendogs couldn't save it (what a chore bore of a game) and I doubt I'll bother using it until Animal Crossing comes out.

Just can't get enough of Wipeout, RR, Burnout and Everybody's Golf and now there's Pursuit Force and GTA coming soon.

Of course that's if I can stop playing snes, MD, GB, GBA, nes, Monkey Island and Doom.

I've said it before and I'm not afraid to say it again: the psp is quite simply the greatest videogames machine I've ever owned.

So would you say that the PS2 is quite simply the second greatest videogames machine you've ever owned behind the PSP then?

 Get to the fucking point will ya'!

Oh, and no I wouldn't. I thought the PS1 and snes were better overall but the ps2 would probably come in third place.
