5 is the direction you want to be going in.

Boom - bang.

Lovely.

o/\o

Simple, easy, quick comic strip, setup and a punchline.

The new one would benefit frmo that I feel, that middle picture doesn't serve any purpose.

1. Woohoo! life is great.

2. Nah it's shit.

is funnier than

1. Woohoo! life is great.

2. hold on a sec.

3. Nah it's shit.

Noted on the "setup-delivery" 2 panel type, I'll see if I can come up with more along those lines. Wouldn't it get tiresome very quickly though?

7th one added. Thanks for the feedback, it really is useful in knowing what works and what doesn't! Please keep em coming, even if it is just to say you read it and didn't find it interesting enough to reply.

Thanks, but the editor of our student paper is understandably not publishing the latest cartoon.

Still a bit disappointing, what happened to the spirit of student papers? since when do extremists dictate what can be discussed and what can't.

complain in your next cartoon how the terroists are winning by not allowing your comic to be published!

Dilbert.com, read the blog, the creator of dilbert explains about censorship of his cartoons a lot in it and shows both versions.

Are there going to be any comics about penguins?

Possibly, maybe getting beaten up by a bunny. Bunnies are far superior.

In the meantime mice will have to do, check out the latest one (no.13)!

no.15 added. If you don't get it don't worry there's no joke there really.

Fuck, it may not be a joke but that's so true to life it's ridiculous. It's usually followed by a good ten minutes of "No really, you can tell me", "No really I mean nothing" etc.

After a trip to the art shop I tried inking this one (no.17) using a chinese ink brush pen a la calvin & hobbes instead of my usual uniball writing pen. Not too pleased with the result. I think I need a smaller brush.

It's nice to be drawing again with decent pencils on proper paper though.
