You know someone who's working on the game don't you? Bethsda or whatever come up with the goods they get praise, the console looks great and well kitted out so it gets praise. Bizzare seem to have worked their ass off to create the best looking and most complete game for launch window so of course they get praise.

Rare release a shiney looking FPS with sub far cry graphics that according to reports plays like it's 1998 and also now runs at 25FPS.

Yes, let's sing their praises in the street. Start the parade!

Also wasn't Halo locked at 30fps with the occasioanl dippage. This isn't even there yet.

Ok, to be fair, as nice as Oblivion did look in that video, it ran like a dog. The frame rate was all over the place.

Second, Bizarre have turned out what looks like a miracle. I'll wait and give mu full verdict when I see more than one car on the track and it still holding up (replay footage doesn't count).

Halo was not locked at 30fps. Not even close a lot of the time.

As for me knowing someone, ha! I wish.

I agree that from the screenshots it don't look the best.

But man alive, I don't need to blurt out every thought in my head all the time. You've said it doesn't look too good. Now move on. Stop repeating it.

But that's probably not going to speed them actually producing the next Halo any quicker is it ?

if it was a choice between a mediocre PDZ and some new Halo news, or a version of PDZ that was so good it kept us satisfied until Halo3 came out, I know which one i'd go for.

Pff that was me saying that they may be forced to show the Halo 3 hand sooner rather than later. IF PD0 is a disspointment and people start to lose interest then all they'll need is a teaser for Halo 3 and suddenly everyone's excited again.

Other than that I've only posted the new information and given a comment. It's not like I'm going back to the first shots ever released and saying they suck. If they release a new HD video that looks amazing then I'll probably comment that I was wrong and I can't wait.

You'll probably see nothing wrong with that at all but it's exactly the same as posting something negative. I just call it as I see em.

Was that not a pre E3 build though?

Running on an Alpha dev kit no doubt then. I'm sure they'll have fixed the framerate by now.

Its running on a high end PC. You can see the mouse pointer when they are selecting menu elements.

Yep keep up that positive thinking, negative thoughts kill pokemon.

Scottcr - It doesn't look as cartoony as XIII though which I think lets it down a bit, it's kind of stuck between realism and cell shading. It's an interesting choice though and possibley one to watch as I have no idea how it plays.

It's gonna have to be the PC version of oblivion for me tho...

25 quid for the PC version from play (retail is 34.99)

39.99 quid for the xbox version from play (retail is 50 quid! ouch!!)

That's not the retail price.

And Perfect Dark doesn't look just a bit better than Quake 4.

Actually, anyone shelling out money for a 360 and not getting beautifulness in their visuals would feel cheated. I want modelled railroad stones, goddamnit. At least make em normal mapped and covered in bloom or something. Where's the horse hordes? Etc.

i had a brief chance to play perfect dark the other week, and to me it seemed great. no noticeable framerate issues at all, and yes it looks gorgeous including the walls! up until seeing it, i had no interest in it, so it came as a pleasent surprise when i actually saw how good it was (and it was running from a dev kit)

i think everyone slating it on here will be eating at least some of their words when they get a chance to play it <_<
