The runs attacking players make from set pieces now is excellent. Corners really are optimum goal scoring opportunities for the patient player.

I MAY give the PC version a go when it comes out, but after hours and hours of 0-0 draws against the CPU on the demo (playing gung-ho football but always being faced with a penalty box full of 8 infallible CPU defenders) I will be playing it online only.

can't play the xbox one online as my xblive is screwed.

The more I play this the more I like it. I am still giving too many fouls away when pressing but I am getting used to that. I am scoring far more goals from outside the area but less from corners.

The through ball can be very potent when used in a diagonal.

An offensive 4-4-2 is what I have found to be best so far. Real Madrid are excellent all over the pitch. Give Baptista, Zidane and Beckham space outside the box and they will all to often score. Barcelona, Inter, Chelsea etc can be crafted into good teams with a few player changes imo.

It clicks when you realise that everything you did in PES4 now has to be done in the opposite way. No longer can you run around sprinting everywhere. Patient, crafted build ups are the way to go.

Played a few games now and I'm enjoying it. Goals are a lot harder to come by you cannot run in circles around players anymore. I have lost all my games so far on 3* against Chelsea which included a penalty given for nudging their player over in the box. Does anyone know where I can get a list of corrections for the team names so I can get the Master League started, gamefaqs doesn't have one listed yet.

Having played about 20 games now, I'm still unsure. I've noticed:

- passing seems more fluid

- there are more fouls for pretty much nothing

- referees aren't so harsh, I've witnessed one yellow card in the 20 games

- shooting is very different, scoring a decent goal is hard

- scoring from 20+ yards is impossible and mostly results in a rugby-like blast

- performing anything first time/at pace in the box is nearly impossible

- controlling the player quickly is very hard, i.e. trapping the ball and weaving in amongst defenders

- In general I never feel totally in control of the player, and in that sense it feels a step back from PES4

- Authentically it is better than PES4 but some other elements are going to take time to get used to, and are a great cause for frustration at the moment

I really do think they've sacrificed fun for realism. Played a 10min per half game between Man City and Arsenal and I think there was 2 shots on goal the entire game, one for each side.

The goals I have scored so far have been immensely satisfying though.

Oddly enough, playing as Liverpool seems to suit me, won 3-0 which is easily my best on 3* so far.

I actually think the presentation is worse, too. I think the sound effects are really poor, and the commentary's no better. I must have heard "no quarter given or asked" about 25 times.

WE6: FE on the Cube remains my favourite in the series.

I don't know if anyones had a moan about this yet but BOTH FIFA AND PES HAVE MANAGED TO FUCK UP LOUNGE MODE. Christ this makes me so angry. Its not fucking hard, all we want to be able to do is save win/loss records. How hard is that to program you fucking cunts!!!! In fifa you have to play with the same team and in pes you inexplicably have to have a different memory card for each player. I mean for fucks sake!!!

I'm not debating it must be difficult to apply the PS2 centric controls to the xbox pad.

But this move is impossible to do whilst holding the standard pad correctly. You have to either let go of the directional controls, or let go of the right trigger and tilt at an angle to be able to press both the X and the black button at the same time.

I have no problems performing the controlled shot on an S-Pad.

It's like the R1 chip, you press black, AFTER X (while the shot bar is on), not at the same time.

You can get some really cool, Bergkamp esque curling goals.
