  1. Anyone who's played various ports of Bomb Jack back in the day might remember the C64 port as being a bit clunky. It had excellent music but the characters were way too big making moving about without hitting anything too challenging. A reminder. But now there's a remake in progress. http://www.indieretronews.com/2019/09/bomb-jack-dx-c64-c64-classic-overhauled.html#more Here's what it looks like at the moment.
  2. Well this is a bit interesting. Head Over Heels has just turned up on Steam. You can grab it here for a fiver https://store.steampowered.com/app/1134050/Head_Over_Heels/ I wonder if anyone told Tomaz Kac and Graham Goring about this? More here http://www.indieretronews.com/2019/08/head-over-heels-top-quality-remake-of.html
  3. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/spyro-the-dragon-ps4-remaster-coming-this-year-rep/1100-6456753/ anyone else stoked for this?
  4. Found this little clone hidden in Steam's free section. Anyone familiar with the Atari 2600 or the early days of the C64 will recognise the mechanics of the game, it's a remake of H.E.R.O, or at least a clone. The graphics lack that simple 8bit charm but reminds me a lot of the sort of art you'd get in early Amiga shareware games. And hey, it's free. (edit:actually it sort of reminds me of those early clones you used to get on the Atari ST and the Amiga where it feels just a little off, but only a little.)
