  1. I guess this is happening? Firstly, a huge thanks to anyone who dropped into my Persona 1 Let's Play thread around June-August of last year; I wasn't planning on doing a follow-up at first, but as it's the new year I'd like to attempt at least one of the two P2 games. Persona 2: Innocent Sin was first made available in Europe back in 2011, and the second game - Persona 2: Eternal Punishment - exists on PS1 somewhere, maybe only in the States? Anyway, I'd like to take things one step at a time and look at Innocent Sin for now. Whilst I made a spirited effort
  2. We do it! I've had this game in a library of an old PSP account for what must be years, and as a big fan of the later games I was always disappointed at the fact that I bounced off it so hard. For those who don't know, the Persona series is a bunch of popular JRPG games that follow a group of demon-summoning high-schoolers who go dungeon-crawling and uncover some big adventure or mystery. The 1996 game was already obscure enough, but Europe never really got their hands on it before the PSP release in 2010, so gamers over here can hardly be blamed for having P3 or 4 as

  4. According to NeoGAF the next-gen only rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt as it's from a different source than the rest.Animated loading sequences, who said they were running out of ideas!
  5. Please read this spoiler first! Loco Roco A sort of puzzle platform game, with pretty woolly and imprecise controls which would normally be the death of any such thing. But not here, for some reason. Press the left shoulder to tilt the world left, and the right shoulder to tilt the world right. Press and release both together to jump. You have to work yourself around some complex levels, collecting new locorocos as you go which merge into the original and make it bigger. Luckily you can demerge and merge at will, so you can get through tight spots, and this is where the puzzle element co
  6. I'm fully aware this game got some love in both the PSN and Vita threads, but I feel it deserves a thread of its own. In my humble opinion, it's easily one the best games of 2012 so far (and my personal fave), but the US press hardly paid any attention to it and developer FuturLab doesn't have the marketing muscle to go up against bigger hitters. They would like to make a dedicated Vita version, but this will only happen if enough people show their support. I'll do my part then. So what is Velocity? Let's watch a trailer first: So it's basically a retro shooter with a couple of wonderful mech

  8. In recent year we've seen the launch of the 3DS and the PS Vita. Both did terrible at retail, although 3DS sales picked up after a price drop and Nintendo rolling out some big guns like Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and recently New Super Mario Bros 2. The Vita still seems to be struggling despite a pretty strong launch line-up and some excellent downloadables, and even big shots at Sony are now going public with statements that it's hard to cement third party software. Looking at the festive season, the release schedule for both seem to be pretty dire. Am I being overly pessimistic, or is
  9. http://gematsu.com/2...s-project-omega A new game by some of the people who recently did the Jet Set Radio HD remake conversion, has some staff from the originals who also did stuff for earlier Ryū ga Gotoku games working on it. No idea if the teaser images relate much to whatever the game is about, but it's being shown at TGS.
