  1. Loads of rumours over the past six months have all pointed towards WWII being the next setting for the next Battlefield game. Recently this image has popped up (which is most likely a fake). V for Victory? From RPS: As excited as I am for a new-gen WWII shooter (got that Hell Let Loose backed and everything!) it'll probably be shit if BF4, BF1, Battlefront 1 and Battlefront 2 are any indication. As an aside, I'm happy that Rhythm Doctor is becoming a full game - I S-ranked everything in the web version and enjoyed it enough to throw a donation at the maker I was expecting a Labo cover story and exclusive blowout considering their luxury of monthly issues, but I'm guessing they need time to get facts and publish a good story rather than the mad hype that's going around the internet?

  5. Dark Souls Remastered

Or in slightly off-shoot related language-speak:
  6. Tiny Metal: aka Not Advance Wars

Just seen this while browsing, must say quite tempted. http://www.tinymetal.com/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/751500/TINY_METAL/ One thing to be aware of, apparentlythe directoir Hiroaki Yura is accused of embezzling £750,000 from the Kickstarter campaign for the Project Phoenix to pay for the development of this game. Seem to be reviewing well on the Switch as well.
  7. Just announced at Capcom Cup, a collection which includes Street Fighter 1, four iterations of Street Fighter II, the three Alpha games and all three Street Fighter IIIs. 8. Blood and Truth

Does it deserve it's own thread? https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2017/10/30/blood-truth-announced-for-playstation-vr-from-the-team-behind-the-london-heist/#sf128799086#sf128908670 Stuart Whyte, Director of VR Product Development at London Studios says and the heist was the best thing on the VR worlds disc, and had plenty of scope for building a proper full game around. So they have: and yay, supports multiple playthroughs, and so on and so forth!
  9. Guacamelee! 2

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy! More chicken combat... ...and Severed's grappling hook is now added to the ability repertoire. I can feel my second Platinum trophy coming up! (I assume that this is timed exclusive btw; they would be nuts to not launch this on Switch.)
  10. I thought this might have been Onimusha at first, but no it's a new PS4 exclusive from Sucker Punch. Open world set in feudal Japan.

  12. Destiny 2 Player List

I noticed there seems to be a few Raid teams who are a little short on numbers from time-to-time, so I quickly knocked up a spreadsheet where everyone can add their preferences and availability so it may be a little easier filling out spaces. Destiny 2 Player List
  13. Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Steam - 24/10/2017 ABOUT: A powerful ancient evil has arisen, and the war to save humanity has begun! The Mummy Demastered throws you into a 16-bit-inspired battle against the undead in a 2D, nonlinear, action-packed adventure. As an elite agent in the monster-hunting Prodigium organization, you must use a variety of weapons, upgrades, and mysterious artifacts to defend mankind against the supernatural hordes of Princess Ahmanet. Your Prodigium unit is already on the scene, but HQ lost contact with them hours ago. Only by exploring tombs, forests, abandoned tunnels, and the cursed streets of London will you discover the fate of your allies. But beware – Ahmanet commands legions of undead, insects, plague-ridden vermin, and worse! If you’re not careful, you’ll be the next soul in her army. KEY FEATURES: • Stunning retro-inspired graphics and atmospheric chiptune soundtrack • Shoot-’em-up action meets exploration-based adventuring • Fight for survival against swarms of horrifying enemies and bosses • Obliterate monsters with an arsenal of weapons including grenades, a flamethrower and more • Uncover and collect 50 hidden relics Reviews Playstation Universe - 8.5/10 "A thunderous Metroidvania effort that sublimely marries the timeless design of yesteryear with some of the best decisions of modern game design, The Mummy Demastered is not only a great title but also one of the genuinely best surprises of the year." Nintendo Life - 9/10 "They say don't judge a book by its cover, and you shouldn't judge this game based on its movie tie-in; with The Mummy Demastered, WayForward may have reached its apex. It deserves to stand on its own as one of the best recent examples of not only a pixel art aesthetic, but as an excellent combination of run 'n gunning, platforming and exploration. The game benefits from paying homage to multiple 16-bit ancestors rather than strictly sticking to its celluloid source material; The Mummy Demastered is a polished, accomplished and satisfying adventure that will entertain more than just Metroidvania fans." Destructoid - 7.5/10 "This game doesn't do anything meaningfully new or original for metroidvania fans, but everything here is solid and WayForward got the fundamentals right... in a licensed Mummy adaptation, of all things." Metro - 7/10 "It’s more an unofficial Castlevania game than a movie tie-in, but if you can handle the high difficultly level this is an effective substitute for the real thing."
  14. GT Sport - Photo Thread

You know the drill.. post your pics here. First impressions are that this seems to have one of the most extensive photomodes out there. Quite a lot of options to get your head around.

This looks incredible they even have Hideki Naganuma on sonics. On steam now, consoles soon. http://store.steampowered.com/app/280180/Hover__Revolt_Of_Gamers/
  16. So I've had to update this topic a bit, as I've ended up getting my wires crossed and there are indeed two Road Rash style games peeking over the horizon. The first is the rather excellent looking Road Redemption, which has been a Steam Early Access hit, looks fabulous and is now available on PC & Mac via Steam and is planned for consoles later in 2018, the second is Road Rage, a console game launching for consoles on October 24th and is up for pre-order with Amazon having it available on PS4 and Xbox One for just £16.99. Both games seem to be touting much the same features, open world, lots of missions, campaign mode and of course, biker combat. Road Redemption is the clear winner of the two though, fluid looking play, more interesting maps, better art and more bikes on the road. Road Rage is set in a Detroit style abandoned city, where gangs have taken over and in order to survive, you aim to join and lead one. Your actions in the game will change how the narrative plays out, but it looks more like a trip down the streets of Saints Row than a big, ambitious open world. Road Redemption is also an open world game which is backed by a story based campaign. This time the game tasks you to rescue a fellow biker who was captured, after his failed assassination attempt of the despot who runs the now post apocalyptic world. The setting will take you across desserts, cities and frozen wastes. From the videos I've seen, it looks like a hoot. Off road driving seems common with bikes regularly seen jumping from the tops of skyscrapers and across open desserts. It actually reminded me a touch of Motorstorm: Apocalypse in how wonderfully off road it all seems. The combat has been sufficiently ramped up since the 16 bit glory days, with guns, swords, chains, pipes, viking axes and the classic kick move all ensuring that the bike combat remains a big part of the games focus. There's a cracking review of it from Lord Ridiculous, which should give you a good feel for what the game is offering: This looks like a no-brainer for fans of Road Rash, and PC and Mac users can grab a copy today. Console gamers will have to hold out to see if Road Rage defies expectations and is worth a punt whilst waiting for Road Redemption in 2018. For what it's worth, unless truly appalling reviews begin to drip out, the super low price point represents a low enough risk that I don't mind giving it a go.
  17. Published yesterday by Devolver and developed by Reikon games Ruiner is fundamentally a twin stick shooter but with some interesting twists. It’s a futuristic Neo-Tokyo anime crossed with Rockstars Manhunt. It’s very violent and appears to be very hard but I’ve already noticed revisiting areas more “in the know” yields very satisfying improvements in your performance (every combat “bowl” is graded once you’ve murdered everyone) Prologue playthrough: It’s around £16 on xbox UK store not sure about other platforms/stores.
  18. Hob - Runic Games Closes

New game by Runic (makers of Torchlight 1 and 2). Came out yesterday. Eurogamer Recommended. PSN - £15.99 Steam - £14.99 Currently only out on PS4/PC. Needs to come to Switch, obviously. I'd buy it right now but I know I'm not going to have time to play it and there's always a chance it might come to Switch. Anyone got it/getting it? edit: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-11-03-hob-and-torchlight-developer-runic-games-has-been-closed Runic closed yesterday.
  19. Announced by Square Enix at TGS, directed by Toshifumi Nabeshima (ex-FromSoftware) who worked on Armored Core, produced by Shinji Hashimoto who was involved with some of the earlier Front Mission games and with character designs by Yoji Shinkawa of KojiPro, some other famous mecha designers are also involved. The teaser certainly features what look like Wanzers to me https://www.left-alive.com/en Some details from Famitsu: So it ain't a SRPG, but hopefully way better than the last game set in this universe
  20. We already knew about EDF 5 (it's now due for release in Japan on 7th December 2017..) it's developed by Sandlot (as usual, using the same engine and aside from some new enemies, stages, refined classes etc is much the same as 4.1) Latest trailer: However we also have two brand new titles announced.. 'Earth Defence Force 4.1 Wing Diver - The Shooter' As the very specific title implies - it's a vertical shmup set in the EDF universe featuring the Wing Diver class.. But the bigger news is that we've a whole new game produced by another company on the way.. Seemingly in a similar arrangement to how Insect Armageddon was produced.. However, this time - rather than farming it out to a US company, Japanese developer Yukes - best known for the Pro Wrestling and WWE titles will be taking the reigns and utilising the Unreal Engine to develop 'Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain' for D3..

  22. Everybody's Golf (PS4) Clubhouse

Welcome to the rllmuk Everybody's Golf Clubhouse for PS4! Based on the survey responses, we aim to play a weekly qualifier tournament (RGA Tour) followed by a monthly event (MUK Masters) which will take place on a Monday evening (to avoid conflict with Destiny & FIFA) and will be streamed live. Anyone can participate in the RGA Tour but the MUK Masters will be reserved for only the best of the best. I recommend browsing the guide before you take part: Rllmuk EG - Clubhouse Guide To get involved proper, follow this link to add yourself: Rllmuk EG - Clubhouse Standings The reliability of the data is based on what you input, we're not here to hunt down anyone who wants to cheat. I would also suggest adding at least some of your best official 18 hole scores prior to taking part as this will skew the handicap values otherwise. Handicaps are used to ensure a level playing field regardless of skill, experience or gear.
  23.
