  1. About time too. Let's just hope they don't change the dynamic too much but just add loads more baddies. Switchable weapon parts may be good too as opposed to just BAZILLIONS of weapons.

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/43990.html?type=flv An interesting trailer, appeared in my RSS last night... Starts off looking a bit gash (aside from lovely pre-renderedness) but slowly looked more cool as the trailer went on.. I'm kinda interested Does anyone know anything about it, or looking forward to it? ________________ Update : PS4 rumours: http://www.vg247.com/2014/01/21/demons-souls-exclusive-ps4-spin-off-teased-by-industry-tipster-rumour/ Update 2: eventually became Bloodborne

    Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

https://blog.2k.com/index.php/home/single/announcing-borderlands-the-pre-sequel The wait is finally over for a new game in the Borderlands universe! We're launching you to Pandora's moon for the first time inBorderlands: The Pre-Sequel, currently being co-developed by Gearbox Software and 2K Australia, and available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC later this fall. Set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, you'll play as four new characters classes fighting alongside Handsome Jack, witnessing his transformation into the ruthless tyrant you loved to hate in Borderlands 2, and assisting with the rise of the Hyperion Corporation. The signature shoot 'n' loot gameplay of the Borderlands series expands with the addition of low-gravity and oxygen-powered jetpack combat, the icy 'Cryo' elemental damage type, the deadly laser weapon class, and new vehicles to help you explore the lunar landscape. Who will those four new playable character classes be, you ask? Well, they are all familiar faces from the Borderlands universe: - Athena, the Gladiator: Uses her Kinetic Aspis, which is a shield that can absorb incoming damage, then convert it back into energy to use against enemies. Athena made her debut in The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC for the first Borderlands game. - Wilhelm, the Enforcer: Wilhelm was previously seen in Borderlands 2 as one of the first deadly bosses in the game. - Nisha, the Lawbringer: The sheriff of Lynchwood from Borderlands 2, Nisha will be dealing out her own brand of justice, which we'll discuss further in the coming months. - Claptrap, the Fragtrap: Wait - Claptrap? The goofy robot companion from Borderlands 2, now playable for the first time? Fragtrap is his character class? Well, you can play him too! In the upcoming months, we'll introduce you to more moon environments, new enemies, vehicles, and…well, we have to save some surprises. For now, feast your eyes on the first images from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, featuring low-gravity combat, cool new guns, and more gorgeous lunar vistas than you can shake a moon-boot at. Then be sure to watch the developer overview video below to get your first glimpse of the game in action. Eurogamer Preview: PC Gamer Preview:

    Persona 5 | PS3, PS4 | Out now

LATEST RELEASE INFO AND MISC DLC NOTES: It's been over eight years since a mainline Persona game has come to Europe (in its original form, that is - Golden was obviously more recent), and in late November of 2013 series fans watched a stream that would ultimately reveal that Persona 5 was happening, and would release in Japan in the Winter of 2014. So naturally, it came to Japan in September 2016. The west wasn't immune to delays either, with the US and European release slipping from 14 February 2017 to 4 April 2017. It's finally here though, and you can skip past the dozen or so pages of pre-release hype if you just want to get to the post-release discussion. If there's anything people want me to add to this OP - content news, beginner tips, whatever - let me know, and obviously keep your spoiler etiquette in check. GTTV will debut the new game on GTTV, which airs on Thursday in the US. So what will it be? Signs point to a game Shinji 'Resi 4/God Hand' Mikami has in development for quite some time now at Platinum Games. It might very well be called 'The Ritualist', a name that was trademarked by Sega some time ago. Should be interesting, as Mikami and Kamija were responsible for most of the Capcom classics last gen. Just a few days left.
  15. source I don't even... I mean I enjoyed the time I spent with the first game and while I was somewhat sad to see it go it wasn't completely surprising either. To see it come back now is rather bizarre yet kind of exciting as well. I'm not sure how much time I'll have for it, what with Warframe having filled that void now, but I'm interested in seeing if they can keep it afloat this time around. 17. VG247 I've been out of the loop with AC games for a while now so I have no idea how this ties in and all that stuff. I always look forward to playing them, the main ones anyway, but never get around to for some reason. I still have Brotherhood to finish and I've got Revelations still in seal lol.
  18. Surprised I couldn't find a thread on this, even though it was announced back in April. Anyway, introducing "Zwei" (project title), the new survival horror game by survival horror's greatest director Shinji Mikami. The game's being developed by Mikami's own studio Tango Gameworks, in co-operation with Bethesda Softworks. Besides this, not much else is known about this project which should hit the shelves somewhere in late 2013. This is how the studio is pitching the whole thing: This is what the man himself had to say about his latest brainchild: Artwork: Debut teaser trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zc-jvqJV4SI TGS 2013 trailer: TGS 2014 trailer: Launch trailer:
  19. I discovered this by watching a Matt Lees vid, it's neat! By the chap what made Ben There, Dan That. Youtube of Matt Lees' Let's Play: What is it? It's a platformer roguelike, in which you rob money from procedurally generated houses / warehouses etc over the course of a 100 day end-game time limit. Oh and it's steampunk London and has brilliant music. As you rob places, you'll find money laying about (relatively small amounts) and computers to hack (relatively large amounts). If your character dies, or you complete a heist by returning to base, a day passes. Enemies in the stage are lethal but low risk (it's not really Mark of the Ninja levels of stealth initially, but it doesn't really need it) When you are spotted, the police are alerted and reach the level within a (seemingly random) amount of time. The police have guns and can kill you instantly; but you still have a chance of getting back to your escape pod to keep the money you've nabbed. Hell, you can even continue robbing a level for a short while before things get dangerous. You decide when to leave a level; it's not always possible to reach every bit of cash when visiting a level, and you can land yourself in situations impossible to escape. You use the quids you steal (literal use of pounds as a game currency, btw ) to upgrade your thieves with better abilities and get more stealing options. Very basic examples of these are capability to hack doors, or unlocking new districts in the city to visit. The progression of difficulty is ace, as it seems to work both on the time passed (i.e. certain enemies appear once you've reached a number of days left) and on location (i.e. second area has new tech preventing easy entry to buildings). It's fucking sweet, basically. Lessons Learned I want to keep a journal of the lessons I learn while playing this, consider them 'noob tips' but you may not want to read this spoiler if you enjoy working this stuff out yourself: Reviews: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-07-27-the-swindle-review http://www.pcgamer.com/the-swindle-review/ http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/PS+Vita/The+Swindle/review.asp?c=66715 Steam Page: http://steamcommunity.com/app/369110 Out now, 10.19 on Steam until Aug 4th. Spelunky

This is currently 88 on Metacritic and Eurogamer have given it 10/10. It's also highly replayable so I think it warrants its own thread. It's based on the indie PC game and is essentially a rough cross between Indiana Jones, Mario and a Roguelike. It's out today and I can't wait to play it. I'm thinking of getting a fightpad or one of the new silver pads with the improved D-pad. Can anyone say which is the better option? I'm expecting glowing impressions throughout the day so I can get more excited while I wait for my mum to pick me up. Don't let me down lads.

    Lego Dimensions - RIP

Seems to be Lego's take on Disney Infinity and Skylanders. The game leaked this morning, so WB just confirmed the thing. Polygon has the story: http://www.polygon.com/2015/4/9/8376101/lego-dimensions-release-date-back-to-the-future-wizard-of-oz http://www.lego.com/en-us/dimensions/ Trailer:
  24. I know there's a thread for Orange Box already but that's just the name for a compilation of games. I really think this games deserve its own thread. Maybe it should be in the Online/Steam folder though? Anyways, here goes.... I didn't get to play the original HL mod much but I managed to put a few hours into it on a couple of LANs. From what I could remember TF was a very promising CTF game and I was very curious about this sequel. Fast forward 10 years (!) and it's here, finally. I really didn't know what to expect from it as the pre-launch teasers made it look like a scripted adventure game or something but this is far from the truth, TF2 is a pure team vs team FPS. I got this yesterday but didn't get the chance to play it much until midnight. Little did I know that the game would suck me in as it did and before I knew it the time was 9am...so basically I sat for 9 hours straight playing an online shooter, this has NEVER happened to me before. What I truly love about it is that every class is really really fun to play, the pros and cons for each class are very obvious and logic which makes it very easy to swap to the correct class to turn the game in your teams favour. Everything feels solid and it's smooth as silk. All the characters are incredibly well animated and detailed and you're never in doubt who's who (class wise) as all classes are distinctly diffrent, this makes it easy to find who to support in a hectic battle. The 6 maps that come with the game are very well laid out. They are easy to navigate through, even for a beginner you'll have no problem finding the enemies documents to steal (TF2s equivalent to flags), the only problem might be getting there Characters automatically thank the medics when healed or cheer when they find some ammo, greet eachother on the battlefield or cry for fallen teammates. Everything is so detailed and charismatic that you really feel you're there, despite the cel shaded universe. This is no doubt the most fun I've had shooting mates since Doom 1 on LAN...a staggering 15 years ago. It's easy to pick up for 'noobs' yet there's enough depth to keep hardcore fraggers occupied. In my opinion this game is worth the price for Orange Box alone, I can't reccommend this enough.
