  1. Looks pretty decent. It kinda looks like it's set in Canada based on the pre rendered video?
  2. https://kotaku.com/the-gta-remastered-trilogy-appears-to-be-real-and-comi-1847474620 Emily Rogers also retweeted it. Down for the Switch version if true.
  3. Just announced on the DC Fandome event: Edit: Youtube versions:
  4. i wonder what the ps5 is doing in standby that causes it to be 3 times slower. Cold boot times are comparable though. Are we going to see the superior ps5 SSD throughout only on certain scenarios? Or maybe it’s an OS optimization they can make further down the line like Nintendo did for Wii U? Edit: I didn’t start this thread. this is a post pulled out of another thread
  5. The time has finally come for a dedicated thread for the sequel to the best survival and underwater game ever made! And the reason: we finally have a release date, May 14th 2021 on all formats including next gen consoles and Switch. Only a month away, demons of the depths be praised! There is this release trailer you can watch, but I will personally be avoiding all spoilers; all I've seen is some early trailers from back in beta and a few screenshots. The game has been in early access for ages now and has already seen a complete story rework. Very excited to dip my toes back in the water and see what wonderful environments, beasties, new technology and gameplay mechanics the team have devised this time. Especially with the new ice setting. This time I will be playing on console as my laptop barely did the first game justice. Hurry up May 14th!
  6. https://balanwonderworld.square-enix-games.com/en-gb/main/ This video includes their introduction with English subtitles, as well as the trailer: Edit: Here's the longer version, from the official site And the trailer alone: Looks like a very traditional platformer, with character design that fortunately looks a lot more NiGHTS than Blinx. In particular, those bosses look extremely NiGHTS-y - not just their character designs, but also their attacks (spike balls and flames) remind me of some of the hazards in that game's final boss fight. And that voiceover is earnestly cheesy in exactly the same way as the narration in Christmas NiGHTS... "Cephalopainter" - is that a Splatoon reference? And a few seconds later at 1:10 there's a familiar-looking blue runner! Did I mention that it's all very reminiscent of the 1996 Sega Saturn game NiGHTS Into Dreams?
  7. This was announced at Gamescom earlier and is due to release next year. I thought the first game was very atmospheric and had a lot of potential but felt disappointingly short. Hopefully the developers have got a bit more money and manpower behind them this time to make something more elaborate. The trailer, with its various locations and new gameplay elements, suggests something a bit more substantial, at least. One to watch.
  8. Back compat. experience is variable so far: Trials rising: runs smooth as silk, loading is massively improved. Subnautica loading screen looks incredible but doesn't load past that screen. Most others I have tried have been SX enhanced and require a download to play. Trying viva pinata tip now.
  9. Let's see how the land lies in rllmuk's next generation.
  10. We have lots of price speculation, and obviously we don't know what the target price is yet. We also have lots of "no-one will buy it if it's more than..." So why not run a poll? First question - choose all that apply - so if you'd spend up to £500, that'd be £300, £350, £400, £450, £500. Second and third questions are just for kicks - can the collective wisdom of Rllmuk identify the price these two things ship at later this year?
