  1. Microsoft's Reward scheme. It's alright. In about 15 months I've made just over £240 from it and I've not been doing it religiously. It's not the gravy train it once was, but it's still a simple way to get Xbox credit in return for a good use of your time while sitting on the toilet, a tenner a month or so is easy enough to attain. Interested? Of course you are! Go here https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/rewards sign up using the MS login you use for your Xbox, follow the instructions. Click on everything available for points under https://account.microsoft.com/rewards/ and also do th
  2. Looks metal af, especially as the world is called Cvstodia, and using Vs as Us is fvcking cvlt . No doubt I'll buy it, play it for an hour before I realise I'm fucking awful at it and never play it again but shit, look at it.
  3. Forget next-gen, this has to be the trailer of the year. Oh, and it's a really good game too, if the first reviews are any indication. https://www.destructoid.com/review-huntdown-590605.phtml
  4. The second release in The Dark Pictures Anthology came out yesterday, following Man of Medan last year. I've put maybe 3 hours into this so far, and really enjoying it. I found Man of Medan very disappointing, especially after loving Until Dawn - which thankfully Little Hope feels closer to. The voice acting has impressed for the most part (you'll always get some lines that don't sound like real reactions to the choice you've made), and the story is going in some interesting directions. Playing on PC this time around (PS4 for UD/Mom) and its a great looking game that's
  5. Anybody else using remote play? I've used the MOGA adapters with my phone (pixel 5) and it has worked amazingly well*, playing Forza and Outer Wilds in bed is fantastic, and whilst the screen isn't as big it hasn't mattered yet. I've had some sound issues, but I think that's because I've plugged the headphones into the controller whilst I'm waiting for wireless headphones to arrive. I've also tried it on my laptop, but no dice. Apparenty that's One X/S only, so I'm hoping a fix for that comes along soon. I've also tried it on my ipad, but it has difficulties connecting to the contr
  6. Thought this maybe warranted its own thread since discussion on it is currently split between the Gamepass, Switch and eShop threads. I love the art style, animation and premise, but kind of switched off when they showed the management side of things, which I always believed wasn’t my thing, but then I remembered how much I grew to love the various management sub games in the Yakuza series, and how much I’ve been enjoying the base management in between missions in MGS: Peace Walker which I’m currently playing. I feel like I’ve been living a lie telling myself I don
  7. This is on PC and Xbox now (with a free 2 hr trial on Xbox). It’s a cross between some other games maybe - turn based actions in a small area, with a series of cards and limited costs. The enemy take their turn, load up actions, then you move around. Good soundtrack too, I’d recommend the trial.
  8. I spent the weekend playing the backside out of the rather wonderful space building sandbox game Astroneer (Check it out free on PC and XBox Gamepass or on PS4). This was so much fun that I fancied something more meaty and much more nerdy. So I started searching and came up with Space Engineers. It seems to be basically Astroneer with a far more realistic and complex style. So far all I've done is drop in my pod onto an earthlike planet, mine some stone and convert it into materials. I need to watch a beginners guide stat but already I can feel the same urge to dive in that consume
  9. 343 Industries announced that from December 2021, support will end for online matchmaking and certain other online features in all the Xbox 360 Halo games (3, ODST, Reach, 4, CE Anniversary, Wars, and Spartan Assault). You'll still be able to play online, but only in customs. They've also removed all of them from sale (though you should still be able to get the DLC for free). https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/sunsetting-halo-xbox-360-game-services-in-2021 I thought this was worth its own topic rather than burying it in the 360 thread, since although a lot of 360 g
  10. Cause no-one seems to bother to make a proper thread and/or update the ones in existence, and since the original Xbox Psychonauts is one of my all-time favourite games, I'm making a thread myself. Psychonauts 2 is the long awaited sequel to the cult classic Psychonauts, which was an awesome 3D action-platformer that saw players litterally dive into the minds of different people, leading to a colourful and insane world in which the imagination of the creators seemed to be the only limitation. The first game came out in 2005, so it's been over 15 years since this incredibly uniq
  11. Out today! I’m getting it on Switch. I may have ordered 3 ships off amazon last night as well. Reviews have been decent for the most part.
  12. Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Steam - 24/10/2017 ABOUT: A powerful ancient evil has arisen, and the war to save humanity has begun! The Mummy Demastered throws you into a 16-bit-inspired battle against the undead in a 2D, nonlinear, action-packed adventure. As an elite agent in the monster-hunting Prodigium organization, you must use a variety of weapons, upgrades, and mysterious artifacts to defend mankind against the supernatural hordes of Princess Ahmanet. Your Prodigium unit is already on the scene, but HQ lost contact with them hours ago. Only by exploring tombs, fore

  14. Missed Ubi's conference yesterday, but caught up with this today. It looks like it has a lot of potential, but then again, Ubisoft. I don't think I've played a decent snowboarding game since Amped on the OG Xbox. (I don't even know if there have been any apart from Amped 2). Side note: Is it just me or is that logo utterly awful? Beta codes here: http://www.steepgame.com/redbull
  15. Back compat. experience is variable so far: Trials rising: runs smooth as silk, loading is massively improved. Subnautica loading screen looks incredible but doesn't load past that screen. Most others I have tried have been SX enhanced and require a download to play. Trying viva pinata tip now.
  16. Do you like physics puzzles, secrets and platforming? Then you should play Supraland! It’s out on all formats and is wonderful. It’s also out on Game Pass (Xbox, not PC, unfortunately). I’ve just got the McGuffin from the Crystal Tower and have been incredibly impressed by what I’ve seen so far. I

  18. Couldn't find a thread for this but it's out now and in early access with founder packs available for purchase and a load of free codes knocking about the usual places. Gameplay trailer: Useless CGI trailer: So what you get is a 60fps free to play 3rd person team shooter. It's cross play on all consoles and has great gyro controls on Switch. I do wonder how many of these hero shooters can be sustained but! This one is from the makers of SMITE and Paladins and runs and plays really well, despite some beta jankine
  19. Who needs next gen, eh? Not officially announced yet, but rated in Taiwan. Let's hope it's a half decent Crash game this time. And knowing Activision, I'm sure they're working hard to stuff it full of microtransactions.
  20. this seems up a lot of our streets, doing drift turns and so on.

  23. From nowhere the latest classic to get the old school revival project rework is Sega's 1986 Master System game Alex Kidd in Miracle World. A video was revealed in today's IGN Summer Expo debut stream and it's being published by Merge games who handled the euro release of Streets of Rage 4. I'll update as more info is released.
  24. The Microsoft Store has listed unannounced Namco classic games collections Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1 and Namco Museum Archives Vol. 2. Both are planned for release on June 17. The collections seem to be a western version of Namcot Collection, the Switch-only collection due out on June 18 in Japan. Most the initial 11 Namcot Collection titles can be obtained through purchasing each collection (excluding Wagyan Land, Star Luster, Family Jockey, and Yokai Dochuki), including the newly announced 8-bit demastered Pac-Man Championship Edition. All of the games are NES/Famicom versions
