  1. Most important bit currently: Switch version out on August 7, 2018! Should leave you with enough time to complete Hollow Knight.
  2. Fresh from the exceedingly grim atmosphere portrayed in Vampyr, here's another interesting, though very dark, prospect.
  3. Bojangle

    Dark Souls 3

Coming Spring 2016 to Playstation 4, Xbone and PC. It's apparently going to be the final Dark Souls game and it just looks like it may well be set in Lordran.
  4. This game came out recently across all platforms and is incredible. It mixes genres really well and is a: Metroidvania, Platforming game with pinball mechanics. The art style is lovely and the music is joyful. Despite being fairly short, it has fantastic pacing. Check out videos below then go ahead and buy it. It is already one of the games of the year in my opinion. Buy it Xbox Playstation PC Switch
  5. There doesn't seem to be a thread for this so here goes. Made by Deck 13 interactive, the people who brought you Lords of the Fallen, a perfectly competent fantasy game which probably suffered rather than gained from the Dark Souls comparisons. This seems to be moving into mech v mech combat in a big way (or perhaps more accurately big men in metal suits versus same) but glancing at some of the published previews retains considerable Dark Souls DNA in terms of mechanics so those comparisons aren't going away any time too soon (if you die you need to fight your way back rather than avoid enemies to retain the souls scrap). There seems to have been little on-line or magazine exposure but the release date is now set for just two months time. https://www.pcgamesn.com/the-surge/the-surge-gameplay-preview reasonably recent developer supervised hands on https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2017/02/08/the-surge-limb-crafting/ and a second.
  6. First YAY Xbox. Second oh thank fuck it looks live they;ve dropped the "real world" military vibe of it and gone more to the classsic era.
  7. Did a search for a topic on this but couldn't find one. Maybe not a surprise considering I've seen two videos so far, saying they'd not really heard of it before the last month. This is developed by Gunfire Games and mashes together a few genres. It's part souls, part Borderlands and a bit rogue-like. You can play online with up to three others or play solo, completely offline. It looks to have highly customisable characters, no micro transactions, with a promise of paid and free DLC. The gunplay looks pretty good though the locations seem quite sparse. There's the promise of 40+ weapons, excluding Melee. Over 100 enemy types and 20-30 bosses.
  8. by PlayDead Studios Official Site Release Date: XB1 June 29 2016 | Steam July 7th 2016 | PS4 August 23rd ABOUT IMAGES VIDEOS Did Limbo ever come to Sony's device(s)? Otherwise this sure is a reason to own an XBONE.
  9. The Mirror's Edge Twitter and Facebook just had this posted on them, so it looks like they're gearing up for a full gameplay reveal this E3. They've previously said the game will release early 2016, but we know so little about the game, that maybe a surprise 2015 release isn't completely out of the question. Early Concept Footage + Developers talking rubbish at E3 2013 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb60vP2PHaw It's been a long time coming, but it's finally happening.
  10. [Edit 16/12/14] Heists have been revealed! Info here: http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?/topic/274193-gta-online/?p=10175135 Thought we could do with a seperate thread for this now as it's bound to be very popular to say the least! Here's R*'s faq: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/51422/some-more-details-on-grand-theft-auto-online.html Links to the official Rllmuk crews: 360 - http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/rllmuk PS3 - http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/crew/rllmuk_ps3 Couple of basic gameplay mechanics that may not be immediately obvious (spoilered in case you want to find these out for yourself, no mission or story spoilers)
  11. Out Now Price: £14.99 Metacritic: 82 So on the eve of Bloodstained getting released, a small indie game has been released on the Switch eshop and on Xbox (it released last year on the PS4 and Steam) called Timespinner. And it's Castlevania. No seriously, it's Castlevania. Look at the map! Basically, you play a young girl who travels through time to try and stop an Empire from destroying her homeland. This involves travelling from the past to the present in an effort to figure out a way to reach the Emperor and kill him. So there's castles. And backtracking. And big, screen filling bosses. And it's great. Seriously, if you're a fan of the old DS Castlevanias, give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

  14. Couldn't see a thread for this, so I thought I'd start one, cos it looks pretty nice. Shiness is an Action-RPG developed by indie development studio Enigami, which will let you travel in a captivating universe doomed to destruction ever since the fragmentation of the planet Mahera... Travel through an enthralling and interactive world as Chado and his 4 companions, and develop your characters Hyper-dynamic combat mixing magic with combos, parries, and blocks like a traditional arena fighter Develop 2 types of skills (physical attacks and magic) and unlock new talents and spells Explore and interact with a vast world made of multiple environments thanks to you and your companions’ special powers and skills Numerous quests and side-quests will give you the opportunity to develop your characters and their reputation Play as Chado and his companions, and travel across the Celestial Islands onboard a flying boat. After a rough landing on hostile territory, you find yourself in the midst of a power struggle between several kingdoms. Chado might be able to resolve this situation thanks to Shiness, a magical spirit that only he can see. Explore a large and captivating world with which you'll be able to interact thanks to the power of your 5 playable characters: crush a big rock using pure strength to enter a secret cave, or use telekinetic powers to activate some mechanisms and discover a back entry… During your journey, you'll meet dozens of dangerous enemies with whom you'll have to face off during hyper-dynamic fights mixing magic, and traditional fighting game mechanics (hit, block, combos…). Gain experience during those fights, while progressing in the storyline or by accomplishing numerous side quests. Evolve your characters, learn new skills and spells, and become the hero who will unify the civilizations of Mahera. ACG gave it a buy:
  15. It looks like this is essentially Halo 6. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/our-journey-begins

    Chime Sharp

Remember Chime? The music puzzle game for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC? No? Well, it was great! Not only was it great, a portion of it's early sales went to charity. I am pretty sure this was before the days of Humble Bundle too, so good on them. Made by Ste Curren and the team at Zoe Mode. Really it was bloody fantastic and up there with Droplitz as one of myt favourite puzzle games of the generation. Anyway, it has spawned a sequel after a successful Kickstarter campaign and for a while it was exclusive to PC, but it is now available on both PS4 and Xbox One. Get it now, it is really, REALLY good. PSN XBOX LIVE STEAM Now just add the original Chime to Xbox One backwards compatibility and we can all be happy!
  17. New game by Assassin Creed creator Patrice Desilets Our first game is Ancestors : the Humankind Odyssey. Our game is a third person action-adventure survival episodic game. Through each episodes, we want the player to relive the greatest moments of mankind with a documentary twist. Our civilisation is one idea away from extinction... or evolution. Due for release in 2015
  18. This came out of nowhere and climbed straight to my top 5 most wanted games: I'm really loving the art style and the animation. Here's me hoping this will be as good as its presentation! It seems like the devs are fond of classic games. This easter egg should be familiar to most posters on here: Some more screenshots:
  19. Has anyone been following this? Cryptic's up and coming new F2P mmo based on D&D and set in the updated Forgotten Realms. Also comes with a variant of Star Trek Online's adventure creation system so players can create their own stuff. http://nw.perfectworld.com/ There are so closed beta weekends going on (I'll be in the next one) and it looks pretty good so far.
  20. So this is out in two months, the sequel to the greatest golf game ever made. I put many, many hours into the first and it became probably only the second game I legitimately got very good at. The new swing mechanic is all going to be tough, its based entirely on the tempo, so no more pauses after your backswing. Enhanced social elements to make multi-player easier, along with enhanced graphics, course creator, and its also been announced that all original TGC courses can be carried over to the new one. Day one for me.
  21. Looking forward to this as a distraction to Tetris 99. http://puyo.sega.com/champions/
  22. Systems: Pretty much everything Price: £15.99 Genre: Turn Based Strategy Remember Advance Wars? Remember your childlike C.O pitting your army against opposing enemies to sunny backdrops and jaunty music? Remember how it was (and still is, in my opinion) the best turn based strategy game around? Now remember how we haven't had a new game in the series in over 10 years? Nintendo, why do you hurt me so? Now enter Wargroove. Not so much a homage to Advance Wars, but an almost blatant rip off. This isn't a bad thing, though. If Nintendo won't work with the IP, at least someone is willing to take the mantle and run with it. Obviously, the biggest difference is the Medieval setting. So no tanks, then. Instead you have Ballistas. And Giants. And don't expect any aircraft. There be dragons here, instead. Plus, it expands massively on what Advance Wars started. 4 Player Multiplayer? Check. Online? Check. Create your own maps and share them online? Check. Essentially it looks like Advance Wars +++. Personally I would have been happy with Advance Wars +, but given the time spent on it (it was meant to be out over a year ago initially) and the obvious love the game has for predecessor, it seems like it might be something quite special. So when's it out? Today, hopefully! A shadow drop at the the end of the Nintendo Indie Direct is what we'd like. If not, it's definitely out soon, though. The developers have been all over Twitter, promising more information and a release VERY soon. I fully expect it it's not today, we will definitely have a date after the Direct. Just look at it! How could you not be excited?
  23. This year's AC edition for next gen. The screenshots don't look particularly next gen but looking at the controls that could be because they seem to be taken from the XB1 version. No idea what "Parkour up" and "Parkour down" means. There's also mention of a 360/ PS3 game coming separately.
