  1. GUIDE TO THE BEST WAY TO PURCHASE GAMEPASS BEFORE YOU START. If you have already used the £1 offer you can still do the below, however you will be charged £10.99 instead of £1 but this will still upgrade all your XBLG so it's still a great deal. If you are already subscribed to Game Pass, let it lapse before following these steps. They will work for new or lapsed accounts, but not for active ones. 1. Buy 3x 12-month Live Gold codes (£40 each) from CDKeys or equivalent. It might take an hour or so for the codes to come through, but they will eventually. 2. If you don't have one, create an Xbox account on the Microsoft site. 3. Redeem your Live Gold codes on the MS Site - click on your user icon at the top right of the page, click the "..." at the bottom of the drop down menu and select "Redeem code." IMPORTANT: each time you do this, UNSELECT the auto-renew option, otherwise you'll get some free months added which will make it impossible to redeem your third code (you can't stack more than three years' worth). 4. From here the instructions are from memory because I can't replicate the steps as I've already signed up. On your user icon drop down menu choose "My Microsoft account" and on the page that opens you should see a section called "Subscriptions." Click on your Live Gold subscription. 5. You should now be given the option to upgrade your Live Gold to Game Pass Ultimate. When you select this it will take you to a standard page as if you were buying it from scratch, where you pay £1 for the first month* and £10.99 every month thereafter. Don't be put off by this (as I was) - the £10.99 won't kick in until your three years are up. Go ahead and sign up for the £1 offer. (*if you have already used the £1 offer previously then it will cost you £10.99 for this conversion, but still only as a one-off payment with your next payment not due for another three years.) 6. Your Live Gold subscription should now have been converted to Game Pass Ultimate for the next three years, at a cost to you of £121 (£131 if this isn’t your first time), a saving of approx 70% compared to the £10.99 a month RRP. 7. Go back into your Game Pass subscriptions page and turn off auto-renew again. There's bound to be another offer in three years' time! —————————————————————————————————- Original Post (2017) In various console threads the topic of somebody doing a Netflix style service for games comes up. Looks like MS are going to be offering something like that. EA Access already does something similar, but it's pretty limited as it's just EA games (as the name suggests). http://news.xbox.com/wp-content/uploads/Xbox-Game-Pass_Hero-hero.jpg Confirmed publishers (from NeoGAF).
  2. Fresh from the exceedingly grim atmosphere portrayed in Vampyr, here's another interesting, though very dark, prospect.
  3. Ongoing expansions are PC only, but you will be able to copy your console save (not just your asset balance) over to the PC version, and Frontier will provide a free copy of Elite Dangerous for you to play.
  4. Coming Spring 2016 to Playstation 4, Xbone and PC. It's apparently going to be the final Dark Souls game and it just looks like it may well be set in Lordran.
  5. Join the Xbox Club - "We Shall Fail Together" If we all join then it will be easy to set up a session in the chat or check the Roster to see who is on and pop them a message. To Join On the Xbox: Press the Xbox Button to open the guide then then select People > Clubs > Discover clubs > Find a Club and search for "We Shall Fail Together" On the Xbox Console Companion App (Win 10) Click the Clubs icon on the left side Click find a club at the top and search for "We Shall Fail Together" Once you have requested an invite an admin will send you the invite to the club which you need to accept.
  6. By Yager Development Official Site Release Date: Spring 2015 ABOUT IMAGES VIDEOS Looks a bit good (very). That being said, Dying Light, Hellraid and now this all look extremely similar but I have faith in Yager!
  7. I couldn't find a thread for this so apologies if a duplicate. After playing this at EGX last year I picked this up today for it's paltry budget price. If you liked Inside then just go buy Little Nightmares now. I'm I think about half way through and it is utterly brilliant. It's looking like being one of my favourites games so far this year and that's saying something given the year we've had already. Basically take Inside, a dash of Trapdoor, Little Big Planet and a dash of your childhood fears and you're there. I urge people to not watch spoilers and take the plunge. I just hope the rest holds up to what I've played so far. As info this runs at 60fps on PS4 Pro and at a higher res, looks fine on my standard model though.
  8. It looks like this is essentially Halo 6. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/our-journey-begins
  9. Colour me excited for this. We know that Remedy tends to keep elements from earlier games around in later ones and this gives off a very Quantum Break vibe to me:

  11. A Definitive Edition for Switch! Releasing Winter 2019 Details Orchestral soundtrack English and Japanese voices 16-bit version included (which looks like the 3DS version) Additional story content
  12. [Edit 16/12/14] Heists have been revealed! Info here: http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?/topic/274193-gta-online/?p=10175135 Thought we could do with a seperate thread for this now as it's bound to be very popular to say the least! 13. by PlayDead Studios Official Site Release Date: XB1 June 29 2016 | Steam July 7th 2016 | PS4 August 23rd ABOUT IMAGES VIDEOS Did Limbo ever come to Sony's device(s)? Otherwise this sure is a reason to own an XBONE.
  14. I was requested to add this Google spreadsheet for people to share their gamer tags: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EHykfNx3wKSen3j64cCP2Bgr9tusBPtPXkitPAPAMxM/edit?usp=sharing Fixing a 'Bricked' Console (Green boot up screen, then hangs at black) Your console is not bricked you are fine. No need for the USB recovery either - since the 1603 build you can self recover via this cool method Try this: Hold down the power button on the front of your Xbox One console until it fully powers down, unplug the power cord, and wait 30 seconds. Please note the console must be fully powered down; the next steps will not work if the console is powered on from connected standby. Plug the power cord back in. PRESS the POWER Button then Hold down the Bind button (located on the side of the console next to the USB port) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console next to the optical disc slot), continue holding down Bind and Eject until you hear a second “power up” chime. Then SELECT Reset this Xbox - This Troubleshooter takes the User to a page that allows them to select full reset or reset but keep content (this allows you to keep your installed games and settings!) Buying games from other regions Original Post: Some patent stuff has been found which gives some probable insight into what people can expect from the next Microsoft home console. http://appft1.uspto....ndo&RS=nintendo Of course all this maybe as outdated as the last set of internal documents about Durango, or Yukon as it seemed to be called back then, but most of it fits with known rumours about this mythical beast. 15. Graphics in the style of old Fleischer cartoons. Looks damn nice.
  16. Just been officially announced: http://www.dirtrally2.com/ Disappointed in the branding
  17. And in other Halo news Halo: The Master Chief Collection coming to Xbox One this year, collects Halos 1-4 Well, if you like Halo and have somehow missed out I guess this is good news.
  18. First YAY Xbox. Second oh thank fuck it looks live they;ve dropped the "real world" military vibe of it and gone more to the classsic era.
  19. Thought this deserved its own topic as it's getting rather good reviews and is out tomorrow. It's a several hours long walking simulator, which seems like the perfect antidote to the lengthy epics we've been getting over the past few months. The hook of the game seems to be a more morbid Gone Home. You play as a girl returning to her family home and exploring the rooms of her now long-dead relatives. So far, so derivative. But what sets it apart is that you play as a participant in each family member's death via flashbacks. While most reviews have wisely steered clear of spoiling too much, these are meant to be extremely diverse (in terms of both presentation and tone), imaginative and often very sad. It's from The Unfinished Swan devs and although there aren't tons of reviews out yet, the ones that are look really promising. It's out tomorrow for £15.99, but if you preorder it on PSN today and are a Plus member, it's £12.79.
  20. I played this for hours last week in Sweden. (And did a couple of days of snow and ice drifting to match.) Ask away!
  21. Haven’t noticed a topic for this, thought I’d start one as it looks like a game that deserves a bit of attention. Loving the vibes from this, like they took Gauntlet, Golden Axe and Dungeon and Dragons and threw them into a blender. The pixel art is gorgeous yet has a distinct 90s retro feel too. Not to mention a banging soundtrack. Out at the end of the month, I’m looking forward to this. A more in-depth look:
  22. STOP THREAD COMING TO PS4 AND XBONE It bloody well could be. This will be the next simulator from the guys who bought you netKar Pro and Ferrari Virtual Academy... Its also moddable.. Indeed netKar and FVA are considered very decent sims but theres little in the way of pictures or track details so its more about putting it out there. Heres the first movie... And it doesn't say much most other games don't do. But one thing that will froth the racing heads is their first car sign up and for that i can show you a movie.. Excited? Well i can tell you the game will feature graphical details such as Full defered rendering with shadows, HDR, bloom and even words like AO which i'm not sure what they even mean and word on the net is this is THE sim to watch. And its due in 2012, although may likely go down the same Beta route both Rfactor and pCARS as gone.
  23. I know we have dedicated next-gen threads, but I started a fresh one for this because at this point in the cycle any specific discussions will end up buried under the avalanche of ZOMG MY STATUS JUST CHANGED TO PUTTING STAMPS ON THE PARCEL!!! The headset that comes with the PS4 looks like it was made by Blue Peter, the Xbone headset looks better but I up imagine a lot will want to replace with their own. What recommendations do people have for decent headsets to use with next-gen. I understand that the PS4 will use pretty much any headset as long as it has the right jack. Anyone have any recommendations for a decent over-one-ear + mic model (as I still want to hear the game audio through the TV)?
  24. New scrolling brawler by the guys that brought you Xeno Crisis and Battle Axe. With a soundtrack by Utah Saints! Looking like a mash up of Double dragon, Streets of rage and Final fight. So ready for another scrolling fighter.
