New show based on a George RR Martin novella, which was previously adapted as a movie in 1987. Some scientists and a telepath travel on a spaceship, Nightflyer, to the edge of the solar system to try to contact alien life. Things go wrong. Co-produced by SyFy and Netflix, with Netflix having international rights. GRRM isn't directly involved in the show (apart from appearing in the trailer below), keeping busy on other stuff, but does get credited as Executive Producer. Apparently filmed in Limerick, where I didn't even know they had studios.

http://www.slashfilm.com/dead-7-trailer/ Coming to SyFy on 1st April. Nick Carter, of Backstreet Boys, and The Asylum together at last. Carter convinced members of several boybands to join him. Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, O-Town, All-4-One, Everclear and No Authority. Probably rubbish, but sounds rubbish enough to give it a try.
