  1. Did anyone else start playing this on the Switch the other day (Or indeed has played it on other platforms). I'm really enjoying myself. Combat is fast and fun. The plot can be a little talky and slow but I like the castaways idea and building up the base slowly as you move through the plot is satisfying. Currently I'm level 30.

  3. This was on my radar as the soundtrack is done by a guy who's music I pretty much buy instantly and published by a record label that deals in various types of heavy metal. I know. It's just come out and I'm broke so I've not bought it but was surprised to find there's not thread. Steam only, currently.
  4. Coming to Kickstarter soon. This blog post is slightly unpleasant in its begging but just you try not to be excited! http://www.codemonkey.me.uk/view_blog_entry.php?blog_entry_id=133
  5. Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark Price: £19.99 (ish - varies on which store) Genre: SRPG Metacritic: 86% This has quite possibly the worst title for a game, ever. Seriously - it's awful. But as far as turned based SRPG's go, it's really good. It's Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, basically. But as Square show little interest in bringing that back, this will have to do. The story is generic as they come (An Immortal Council choose you as an agent to bring peace to the land...), but it plays a really decent turned based game. Combat is pretty straightforward, but t
  6. A new game from the team that brought you Shovel Knight. A quintessential Ninja action game in the style of Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden. https://yachtclubgames.com/cyber-shadow/ Pre-orders will be available soon on all formats: Steam, Switch, PS4, Xbox One
  7. This has apparently been in early access for a while but goes 1.0 with a massive content update and character wipe tomorrow. Also a price increase https://store.steampowered.com/app/424370/Wolcen_Lords_of_Mayhem/ I just played a little bit of it and it seems solid, polished and fun. I'm looking forward to the launch tomorrow. Some footage I found of someone playing in co-op
  8. This launched a few days ago on Steam Early Access, although it seems pretty well developed already, barring some of the item descriptions and a truck customization system still to come, along with new territories. It already has voice acting and the soundtrack is complete. Big differences between this and Cook! Serve! Delicious! 2!!! is that in this one you are running a food truck - this means rather than having waves of rush hour followed by slow periods, instead you do a ton of prep in between stops, with a few advance orders on the road. They've also
  9. Any objections? Coming to PS4, Xbox One, Switch and Steam in early 2019.
  10. https://store.steampowered.com/app/674520/FightN_Rage/ Can't remember where I saw this mentioned - possibly the Streets of Rage IV thread. Anyways, I thought it looked nice, so I added it to my wishlist. It is currently on sale (75% off until March 1st) and so I took the plunge on Friday night and I really enjoyed it. The graphics are good once you tweak the settings to your liking - personally I wasn't keen on the CRT filters and over saturated colours. The music is good and most importantly, so is the gameplay. It's nothing revolutionary, but the combo system and special meter wo
  11. This is a Pinball/Hack and Slash which is pretty unique and It just looks awesome! (And that sound design!). Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/app/852300/Creature_in_the_Well/ Xbox - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/creature-in-the-well/9p3swzzj1m4b?activetab=pivot%3Aoverviewtab Switch - https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/creature-in-the-well-switch/ PS4 release is "probably 2020" according to the devs. Trailer: Dev Breakdown:
  12. (This has been mentioned in the Steam thread, but it's not just for Steam, so...) EVERSPACE is a "single player roguelike space shooter" from ROCKFISH Games ("Pretty much the whole team who created the Galaxy on Fire series ..."). It's out now for PC via Steam Early Access, and will be coming to Xbox One "later this month" via the Xbox One Game Preview Programme.
  13. Well this is a bit interesting. Head Over Heels has just turned up on Steam. You can grab it here for a fiver https://store.steampowered.com/app/1134050/Head_Over_Heels/ I wonder if anyone told Tomaz Kac and Graham Goring about this? More here http://www.indieretronews.com/2019/08/head-over-heels-top-quality-remake-of.html
  14. (credit to @geldra for the "x meets y" in the thread title.) Now that Sekiro's out, this is the next most exciting release of 2019 for me*. I think it was first teased way back in 2015, but now it looks like it's closing in on a release date. From the Steam page: Put simply, everything seen in the trailers looks amazing. Atmospheric pixel-art, lightning-fast attacks, slick movement, neo-noir stylings, moody music... The only concern surrounding the game (for me, at least) is that in the past the release date has been all over the place - so I don't know i

  16. Haven't tried it out yet, but assuming it's good this is one hell of a nice gesture by current Titan Quest ip owners Nordic Games. Out of nowhere (well, not exactly, they've been patching the original games and running beta versions for months on Steam now) they've now released Titan Quest Anniversary Edition on Steam! That's right, one of the best ARPG's ever made remastered for a new generation to enjoy with a total of 1261 changes. It incudes both the original Titan Quest and the must-have expansion Immortal Throne combined into one game with reworked multiplayer, stability, per
  17. Looking forward to this as a distraction to Tetris 99. http://puyo.sega.com/champions/
  18. Darkwood is a lovecraftian top down action adventure horror game I've had my eye on for a while. It just came out recently for 11 quid on steam.... http://store.steampowered.com/app/274520/Darkwood/ I was going to wait for a sale, but the developer has done something very interesting to combat "key reselling" which I was unaware of. They've released the full game on piratebay... https://pirateproxy.cam/torrent/18469605/Darkwood_-_hotfix_3_(developer_s_torrent) "Hi! This torrent was brought to you by the developers of Darkwood - Acid
  19. So I'm getting towards what I think is the end of Danganronpa v3 on my Vita, and I spotted this on PSN. Couldn't find another thread on it, and after playing the demo I think it deserves some attention. It has a very Danganronpa feel, but the mechanics are very different as it's more of a survival/dungeon crawler game. There's the usual ridiculous setup, you can see that in trailer below, but then it becomes more of an Etrian Osyssey affair with a lot of stuff to manage while you dungeon crawl, from base facilities, gear, upgrades, stress levels and even a bladder meter. The PS4 de
  20. Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Steam - 24/10/2017 ABOUT: A powerful ancient evil has arisen, and the war to save humanity has begun! The Mummy Demastered throws you into a 16-bit-inspired battle against the undead in a 2D, nonlinear, action-packed adventure. As an elite agent in the monster-hunting Prodigium organization, you must use a variety of weapons, upgrades, and mysterious artifacts to defend mankind against the supernatural hordes of Princess Ahmanet. Your Prodigium unit is already on the scene, but HQ lost contact with them hours ago. Only by exploring tombs, fore
  21. Ambition of the Slimes Price: £4.99 Available on: Switch, Steam, Vita, 3DS Metacritic: 70% Ambition of the Slimes is a turn based strategy game with an unusual hook. You play a group of low level Slimes who are extremely vulnerable. You can't really fight. You are weak to any attacks. But you can possess your enemies. It's an interesting idea with surprising depth. Both the Slimes and enemies have the usual elemental resistances (Fire/Water/Grass) and if you possess an enemy of the same element, it strengthens that elemental type. If

Check this out This guy does the artwork. I saw some of his stuff ages ago and said “wow, imagine a game that looked like this” and, well, here we are. No idea what it’s about!
  23. by Volition Inc. Official Site | Steam Release date: August, 2017 ABOUT IMAGES VIDEOS No gameplay yet unfortunately but glad to see Volition are still alive and kicking. The lack of a multiplayer mode seems odd though. EDIT: OP updated.
