  1. Greetings good people. I know that this game is almost three years old now and has less activity lately due to Evolution being closed down. Thing is, there is still much interest in the photo mode, which in turn inspires folks to jump back on occasionally and have fun. In truth we all seem to forget how good the game actually is and how versatile its photo mode can be. This therefore is for those of you who like to capture those moments; so let's see your photo mode prides-and-joys, be they close-up details, action captures, wild paint schemes, impressive wreck-moments or just the captivating details in the scenery. Enjoy. 2. A malevolent force known only as Lina is devouring data from a vast, interdimensional network of servers overseen by sentient computers called ”motes.” In desperation, the motes summon heroes from a variety of parallel game worlds to face off against each other in one-on-one combat. The tournament victor has the potential to be awakened as the Blade Stranger—the savior who can vanquish Lina and protect the motes from further harm! Developed by Studio Saizensen, Blade Strangers is a hardcore old-school fighting game. The streamlined four-button control scheme makes it easy for beginners to deal out damage from day one…but the intricate combos, counters and specials give tournament-caliber players plenty of opportunities for frame counting, chain construction and hit-box science. Blade Strangers will bring together an eclectic mix of characters from various games when it comes to Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Steam this Summer. Studio Saizensen is including many of its own characters, like Umihara Kawase and notoriously underarmored Solange from Code of Princess. Other confirmed characters include Gunvolt and Shovel Knight. Blade Strangers publisher Nicalis’ titles will also be represented in the game, with characters like Quote and Curly Brace from Cave Story and Isaac from The Binding of Isaac. Debut trailer: Opening cinematic (extended): >> Official website. Looks pretty sweet, but then I'm a sucker for (obscure) Japanese 2D vs. fighting games. The Fallen Angels , anyone?

  5. Third season is out out now! Only realised because I logged into PSN and saw it there. Looking good so far, getting high scores all over the place. Think I'll buy the first episode and then decide if I want to splash out on the season pass.
  6. The Sexy Brutale is out today! Xbox Store: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/store/p/the-sexy-brutale/c1pjx1j6rt8t PS Store: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/games/the-sexy-brutale/cid=EP2972-CUSA06819_00-THESEXYBRUTALE01?smcid=sen:entwined:EP9000-CUSA00672_00-ETWPS40000000000:playstation-store Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/552590/ ACG - "Easily A Buy" "There is so much here that is enjoyable to do, so much to explore. And while it doesn't have anything more than a second or third playthrough replayability, that's more than enough for the price that they're asking, at how many hours of enjoyment you're going to get through this. It's really a different style of puzzle game and it really surprised me ....It really was, just simply, a blast. I never expected to like it as much as I did..." Jimquisition - 10/10 Blast it all if it isn’t another impeccable entry in a year swarming with quality already. I fear this one will get lost in the shuffle of big budget games, but make no mistake – The Sexy Brutale deserves as much attention as any Horizon, Zelda, Nioh or Persona. Hardcore Gamer - 4.5/5 In the end, The Sexy Brutale is a marvelous and unique delight of a murder mystery, one you’ll have walked away from feeling shocked over what exactly you just saw play out in the story, satisfied over the challenging puzzles you’ll have solved to help out each masked guest, and dazzled over the vibrant and mesmerizing aesthetics. PSU - 8.5/10 Awash in a frankly ridiculous amount of charm and bolstered by a genuinely innovative time travel mechanic, The Sexy Brutale is one of the most deliciously refreshing puzzlers to come along in a good long while IGN - 8.2/10 Every murder The Sexy Brutale includes is uniquely fascinating to investigate, with the central loop of searching for clues and executing a plan to alter time continually engaging. I found Boone’s quest so fascinating, the Brutale’s secrets so alluring, and its world so charming that I rewound the clock just to spend a few more days in Lafcadio’s beautiful nightmare. Destructoid - 8/10 Though The Sexy Brutale fumbles a few times -- especially near the end when it rushes toward a narrative payoff -- it never hurts the experience. Uncovering the mansion's secrets and the twisted plot that dooms its guests is exciting. Compared to almost any other puzzle game, The Sexy Brutale's dark tone and inspired art stand out from the crowd. Solving murder might not be the most cheerful work, but it's one hell of a good time. Wccftech - 8/10 While I may have some minor gripes with The Sexy Brutale, I think it’s a wonderful puzzle game, one that’ll really reward your time. The mansion is smartly designed, harking to the intelligently planned Spencer Mansion of Resident Evil, and the way you learn about characters is inspired by one of the most unique aspects of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. The Sexy Brutale has bombastic music, a great cast, and some very satisfying puzzles. While not outstanding, it’s well worth your time. Metro - 8/10 An inspired mix of graphic adventure and Majora’s Mask style time travel, that offers some of the year’s most inspired puzzle-solving VideoGamer - 8/10 The secret stories Father Lafcadio uncovers are lovely, but you won't always enjoy the process of uncovering them. Still, a series of elegant murders, with elegant stories, in an elegant mansion is enough to show anyone a good time. Time and time again...

Sorry, the thread subtitle is a bit reductive, but it was the first thought that came to mind given the developers and the 4 player co-op theme. It looks like they're trying something different and pretty interesting here though and sounds awfully like the dream Predator game I've imagined for years. From Game Informer.
  10. You know the drill.. post your pics here. First impressions are that this seems to have one of the most extensive photomodes out there. Quite a lot of options to get your head around.
  11. Three people are making this game !! Three !! Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles looks just like a game for fans of beautifully stylized worlds, and their more domestic activities. Built by Prideful Sloth, a small team led by a former Activision producer and an artist and programmer from Rocksteady, Yonder sets your character on the fantastical island of Gemea. The island has been beset by an evil murk, which has filled its once-cheery residents with despair. According to the Prideful Sloth team, the hero will help residents by contributing through talents like farming, crafting, cooking, fishing and brewing, which will help them build relationships and unlock rewards. There are also eight different environments to explore across Gemea, as the hero joins up with etheral Sprites, the only creatures who can dispel the encroaching darkness. 12. Looks terrific. Eurogamer are really bigging it up. Out now on Steam, PS4, and XB1. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-05-11-laser-league-review-an-instant-modern-day-multiplayer-classic Kind of Tron like. All you do is move and press the trigger to perform your special power. Elimate the other team.

  15. Before requests for friends codes get swallowed up in the general Switch thread I thought it would be worth starting a new thread just for this game. It's a lovely game that borrows the best bits from lots of our favourite shooters and melds them all into an addictive score-attack Zelda-alternative. I'm getting hints of Geometry Wars with heavy Resogun undertones, embellished with a sprinkle of Bangai-o, topped off with the most subtle garnish of Radiant Silvergun. And even a bit of Robotron 2084 if you fancy. It's only £9.99. Come on in, good times are here. Add me up for some leaderboard shenanigans: SW-1639-4375-5790
  16. Okay seeing as this has a rather excellent Photo-Mode it makes sense to have a dedicated thread for you fine folks to post pics in (this also avoids clogging up the main thread with spoilers) So I'll kick things off with some old and new pics: (album can be found here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskwuMNnt) I'm only actually up to Chapter 5, just cant stop snapping! (so doubt I'll be in here that much until I finish it)
  17. WipEout Omega Collection was announced on Playstation Experience 2016, as mentioned in the WipEout HD thread. But it really deserves its own. What we do know: - Collection of tracks from WipEout HD, Fury and 2048 - 4K and HDR support confirmed, running at 60fps What we don't know: - If there will be VR support

  19. By IllFonic Official Site | Steam | PS4 | XB1 | FAQ Release date: 26 May, 2017 I just wanted to post this trailer really. It's pretty damn good (and very silly). Did anyone here play Dead by Daylight? That was all the rage on twitch for a while and still has quite a few people playing. Maybe I'll jump on this myself (because Jason) if it still manages to retain a decent community after a few months.
  20. Tera the old actiony MMO from the PC has launched on consoles. It's not terrible from what I remember on the PC but it's very MMO. I thought it'd start a thread in case anyone is thinking of giving it a try. If you have Twitch Prime (Free with Amazon Prime) you get a free code for a twitch founders pack which will save you about 25 quid. Thinking about it. It'll probably play better on a controller that it did on mouse/kb.
  21. There's a new indie game coming out next week on Vita that all you zone gaming score attack guys are going to want to check out. Disclaimer. I'm friends with one of the two man development team but I didn't plan on making a thread unless I actually liked the game. Spoilers. I did. The gentleman Barry Island kindly gave me a code for it and I've just started playing. Fuck me it's good. You play a robot (Mr Robot) in an arena and your job is not to die. You do this by avoiding or killing enemies. You kill enemies by picking up fruit. Fruit explodes when you pick it up and you can do some nice chains for bonus points. One life. Full honesty here. I was worried about this game. From the videos and screenshots I've seen of it through development I thought it looked like it lacked something. It turns out videos and screenshots do not do it justice. The game looks lovely and razor sharp on the Vita screen. Music and sound design is excellent (Headphones are recommended). It was a bit confusing to start with since it only had remix mode open and I didn't know why. That appears to be the tutorial and once you play through two levels of that (One to teach dodging and one to teach killing) everything else opens up. There's a blog post up at Sony http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/10/21/arcade-dodge-em-dont-die-mr-robot-hits-ps-vita-month/?adbid=524576735082201088&adbpl=tw&adbpr=36969785&emcid=social_20141021_34130647 http://infinitestategames.com/ I'm trying to find out how much it'll be but not much is what I understand. I'll see if I can find out in the morning.
  22. An FPS from the developers of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy, which wasn't too far from a Warhammer game itself, set for release in 2015. Devs seem a good match for this and more WH40K the better, looking forward to it. Source
  23. Really looking forward to this one from Piranha Bytes. A traditional RPG in a post-apocalyptic (meteor strike) earth, with access to both traditional melee and projectile weapons, plus a jetpack, non-scaling enemies and factions. Scheduled for release summer 2017. I haven't seen too much other than a few screen shots so far but this gamingbolt interview has really whetted my appetite. Also linked to an RPG watch feature back in August with some (pre alpha) gameplay footage.
