  2. Introducing "Zwei" (project title), the new survival horror game by survival horror's greatest director Shinji Mikami. The game's being developed by Mikami's own studio Tango Gameworks, in co-operation with Bethesda Softworks. Besides this, not much else is known about this project which should hit the shelves somewhere in late 2013.   3. STOP THREAD COMING TO PS4 AND XBONE It bloody well could be. This will be the next simulator from the guys who bought you netKar Pro and Ferrari Virtual Academy... Its also moddable.. Indeed netKar and FVA are considered very decent sims but theres little in the way of pictures or track details so its more about putting it out there. Heres the first movie... And it doesn't say much most other games don't do. But one thing that will froth the racing heads is their first car sign up and for that i can show you a movie.. Excited? Well i can tell you the game will feature graphical details such as Full defered rendering with shadows, HDR, bloom and even words like AO which i'm not sure what they even mean and word on the net is this is THE sim to watch. And its due in 2012, although may likely go down the same Beta route both Rfactor and pCARS as gone.

  6. Out this Thursday! £10.99 Reviews have started coming in for Simogo's new game...and it seems pretty special. Eurogamer - Recommended The Sixth Axis - 10/10 Games Revolution - 4.5/5 Basically, it looks and sounds awesome. And even though it's meant to be short (you can get through the game in an hour, apparently), it's that good that you want to replay it often - kinda like Rez, I guess. I really hope it doesn't get drowned out this week. While it's up against the Goose and Zelda on Switch, it looks like it deserves its own limelight hence me starting this thread.

  9. E3 Announce trailer: E3 Gameplay demo: E3 LiveCast: This formed a fairly big chunk of the Sony conference and it looked pretty cool to me. According to the developers in the LiveCast, and going by what was shown in the gameplay video, it's a post-apocalyptic open-world adventure game set in the Pacific Northwest where you play a biker-turned-bounty hunter, riding across the gorgeous environment while trying to avoid huge hordes of former human beings that the developers emphatically say aren't zombies but are in fact called 'Freakers'. My first thoughts on watching the video was that it was a Last of Us spin off, which got me very excited. It turns out it's not, but in as much as it does look very derivative of other games and franchises, I think the horde-chasing-you mechanic and the non-linear design should make for some interesting gameplay. Even just watching the demo I found myself urging the player character to get away, so it all seems suitably intense. On the downside, the developers are definitely not Naughty Dog, the last thing they made being the Uncharted game for the Vita, which was pretty sub-par from what I can remember, and the Syphon Filter games before that, which I haven't played but, from what I can recall, were reasonably well reviewed. There's no release date yet from what I can see, but apparently they've been making it for three years, and the demo, if it is actual gameplay (which, admittedly, it did look like), looked pretty polished from where I was sitting, so maybe early 2017, or possibly even by the end of the year. I especially like what seemed to be happening in the gameplay video, where the player was strategically trying to kill the enemies in particular places so that their dead bodies formed an obstacle for the other enemies and slowed them down. That seems like a mechanic that has a lot of potential. The developers are also selling it as entirely open world, so just because the player in the demo ducked underneath the train car, for example, you don't have to go that way in the actual game, meaning that horde encounters can be played out in lots of different ways and you can get creative with the way that you use the environment to your advantage. Your bike will also play a big role as there are very few working vehicles in the environment, meaning that it's more like your 'noble steed' than a bike. What are your thoughts?

Cause no-one seems to bother to make a proper thread and/or update the ones in existence, and since the original Xbox Psychonauts is one of my all-time favourite games, I'm making a thread myself. Psychonauts 2 is the long awaited sequel to the cult classic Psychonauts, which was an awesome 3D action-platformer that saw players litterally dive into the minds of different people, leading to a colourful and insane world in which the imagination of the creators seemed to be the only limitation. The first game came out in 2005, so it's been over 15 years since this incredibly unique psychological platformer hit consoles. Thankfully, Psychonauts 2 - after all its development/publisher niggles - now really seems to be happening, and Double Fine, the creators behind the series and many other unique titles, is aiming to make it bigger and better than the original in every way. Psychonauts 2 was first officially announced back in 2015, and since then it's been a very long and very bumpy road to release, with numerous setbacks and compromises Double Fine had to make for the project. After a successful crowdfunding campaign and an acquisition from a larger company, Double Fine is all set to make Psychonauts 2 a reality sometime in 2021. There were times when it wasn't sure the project was even going to survive, but Psychonauts 2 is now pretty much inevitable at this point. The story of the sequel picks up a few years after the end of the first game, when Razputin Aquato, trained acrobat and powerful young psychic, has realized his life long dream of joining the international psychic espionage organization known as the Psychonauts. But now these psychic super spies are in trouble. Their leader hasn't been the same since he was kidnapped, and what's worse, there's a mole hiding in the Psychonauts' headquarters. Raz must use all his powers to stop the mole before they execute their secret plan — to bring the murderous psychic villain, Maligula, back from the dead!   14. I'm so happy this is getting a release over here! Disaster Report 4 is the latest in the Disaster Report / Raw Danger / SOS: Final Escape series and this release has had a long road to get here. DR4 was originally due to be released on PS3 but then the Japan earthquake happened and the game was cancelled indefinitely. A few years passed and fans were still upset at the cancellation and so new company Granzella (former IREM employees) formed and acquired the rights. They made some PlayStation Home content (£££) and then set to work on developing DR4 again from scratch. I'm currently playing DR1 - it has a lot of terrible dialogue, but the game is oddly serene in its pace as you try to navigate to safety - it doesn't really have strong survival mechanics (like say Don't Starve) but the looming threat that any part of the environment might fall apart at any time.   18. Anybody else using remote play? I've used the MOGA adapters with my phone (pixel 5) and it has worked amazingly well*, playing Forza and Outer Wilds in bed is fantastic, and whilst the screen isn't as big it hasn't mattered yet. I've had some sound issues, but I think that's because I've plugged the headphones into the controller whilst I'm waiting for wireless headphones to arrive. I've also tried it on my laptop, but no dice. Apparenty that's One X/S only, so I'm hoping a fix for that comes along soon. I've also tried it on my ipad, but it has difficulties connecting to the controller. Not sure if anybody else has tried it. *Not Tetris Effect though, that's the only game I've found so far that can't be remotely played.
