  1. First up this isn’t a brand new update for the game thread before anyone gets excited sorry. Moreso it’s a thread I’ve created simply because I can’t find any info on this here or a thread of its own currently so I thought I’d do one now. I picked it up earlier while browsing for something to get for my 3DS and as it’s not too long ago that I went through FF XII for the first time, thought why not seeing as it’s supposedly a sequel of sorts set shortly after the main game. I know many on here already cherish FF XII and it’s recent ish remaster. I’ve not pl
  2. So after months of not touching my consoles or handhelds I finally took the courage to start up my Wii and play Skyward Sword. Well I wish I could say that but the only reason I did so was because my video card crapped out on me and thus rendering my PC useless other than to: Porn, Facebook and Rllmuk (yes, in that order). I'm now 20 hours in to SS and it made me realize how much of a void there was for me as far as pure gaming glee goes. It's been said a thousand times already but Nintendo games do have a certain unique charm to them that make most, if not all, of their titles a joy to pla
  3. According to NeoGAF the next-gen only rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt as it's from a different source than the rest.Animated loading sequences, who said they were running out of ideas!
  4. So here it is. I guess maybe we could bring out the more positive sides of all things Nintendo? I dunno. Discuss.
  5. The first real details on what will probably be the last relevant NDS title are in! Pokémon Black & White version 2 (or shorter: Pokémon Black & White 2) may have a number in the title rather than a new set of colours, but it looks like the game is all new, with a completely new cast of characters, a new location, and a (partially?) new set of critters. Obviously there's a new male and female lead character. As with Black & White, you can select between male and female characters. Both have a sporty look. The female lead seems to have Princess Leia hair bunches. Joining the two ne

  7. For those who missed out on 2 and 3 on the DS you can now reorder new stock from Amazon and PlayAsia. (The first one has also been reprinted.) Thanks to http://tinycartridge.../etrian-odyssey for the news.
  8. I am currently on holiday in Japan and I just have a DS to play games with, I was wondering what would be good to play on the DS outside of RPG's. I bought Ninokuni and DQ9 and I need a break from the walls of text. I am looking for something like Bangaio spirit, which I have back home. Is there anything else on the DS that offers all out action? Help me rllmuk.
  9. In recent year we've seen the launch of the 3DS and the PS Vita. Both did terrible at retail, although 3DS sales picked up after a price drop and Nintendo rolling out some big guns like Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 and recently New Super Mario Bros 2. The Vita still seems to be struggling despite a pretty strong launch line-up and some excellent downloadables, and even big shots at Sony are now going public with statements that it's hard to cement third party software. Looking at the festive season, the release schedule for both seem to be pretty dire. Am I being overly pessimistic, or is

The re-reveal of their next gen Wii U console is almost certainly going to be the talk of E3. Unlike other console manufacturers, Nintendo probably won't be blazing the machines specs up on their ceiling hig

  14. From GameCube Europe: Henceforth, Animal Crossing DS will be known as Animal Crossing: Wild World. The game will be released under that name in America on December 5th 2005, however a European date is still "TBD". Our best guess is that it will be along sometime in the first half of 2006 - Nintendo have promised Europeans won't have to wait as long for the DS incarnation as they did for the Cube version! When it launches, the game will support the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, allowing you to visit your friend's in-game towns, wherever your friend lives in the world!
  15. This has been out for a couple of weeks now, so surprised there's no thread ... It's a 'game' for the DS. It comes with two activity monitors, which measure your steps taken each minute during the day, and then whenever you connect the monitor to the DS it downloads your data and looks at how much you've walked and when. You can hook up to four monitors to one card, and then compare records against each other. I've been using it for a week and it does help to highlight where my activity patterns vary between weekdays and weekends, and also how my working pattern in Saudi is appallingly bad f
