Oh look, it's that time already. A remake of a quite recent one. Though it does mean Dwayne can reprise his role as Maui.

Last year it was reported that Ted Elliott (the writer of the first four POTC films) and Craig Mazin (the creator of the Chernobyl TV series) were going to develop a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie - presumably without Depp: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/chernobyl-creator-tackling-pirates-caribbean-reboot-1250029 And now we have the news that a separate POTC movie will be made, starring Margot Robbie and written by Christina Hodson (who wrote Birds of Prey, which I'd like to remind everyone was a good film ): https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/margot-robbie-christina-hodson-team-new-pirates-caribbean-movie-1298722

Not a series for me, but looks pretty astonishing.

The Pixar movie that this teaser most reminded me of was Inside Out, as that was another film in which a girl's emotions were represented as a red character.

Mary Poppins is getting a sequel, starring Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The film will be directed by Rob Marshall. Click here for info on the plot. I'm almost in a state of shock. Can't believe I hadn't heard about this being in development. I will avoid this like hell and only consider watching it if it were to get an insane amount of rave reviews. This just feels wrong to me it's not like Disney ever cared for P. L. Travers and her vision, but man... Would love to be proven wrong of course. Plus, ever since seeing this, the only new Mary Poppins I accept is a Kristen Bell Mary Poppins
