  1. Oh look, it's that time already. A remake of a quite recent one. Though it does mean Dwayne can reprise his role as Maui.
  2. Based on a graphic novel of the same name. About a Chinese-American high schooler who ends up involved in a battle between mythological Chinese gods, particularly Sun Wukong, The Monkey King. Cast includes Michelle Yeoh, Daniel Wu, Poppy Liu and Chin Han. 8 episodes coming to Disney+ next year.
  3. Last year it was reported that Ted Elliott (the writer of the first four POTC films) and Craig Mazin (the creator of the Chernobyl TV series) were going to develop a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie - presumably without Depp: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/chernobyl-creator-tackling-pirates-caribbean-reboot-1250029 And now we have the news that a separate POTC movie will be made, starring Margot Robbie and written by Christina Hodson (who wrote Birds of Prey, which I'd like to remind everyone was a good film ): https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/margot-robbie-christina-hodson-team-new-pirates-caribbean-movie-1298722
  4. Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey are back for the sequel to Enchanted. Maya Rudolph's a bad 'un. Coming to Disney+ on 18 November.
  5. Title is in honour of this tweet. Before watching this trailer, please guess what music it'll use. You'll probably be right.
  6. Not a series for me, but looks pretty astonishing.
  7. The Pixar movie that this teaser most reminded me of was Inside Out, as that was another film in which a girl's emotions were represented as a red character.
  8. Came out on Hulu in November, but now on Disney+ over here. Animated show based on the comic. Not part of the MCU. About a Japanese macaque monkey and the ghost of an American assassin taking on the Tokyo underworld. Stars Ally Maki, Olivia Munn, Nobi Nakanishi, Fred Tatasciore, George Takei, and Jason Sudeikis.
  9. Mary Poppins is getting a sequel, starring Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The film will be directed by Rob Marshall. Click here for info on the plot. I'm almost in a state of shock. Can't believe I hadn't heard about this being in development. I will avoid this like hell and only consider watching it if it were to get an insane amount of rave reviews. This just feels wrong to me it's not like Disney ever cared for P. L. Travers and her vision, but man... Would love to be proven wrong of course. Plus, ever since seeing this, the only new Mary Poppins I accept is a Kristen Bell Mary Poppins
  10. Stars Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Octavia Spencer. Pratt and Holland are Ian and Barley Lighfoot, two elf brothers who set out to discover if there's enough magic left out there to spend one day with their father, who died before they can remember.
