  1. Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to format their lists for this. Thanks, also, to those who posted but didn't bother to read the instructions at the top I had a bit of extra time so I took lists from the discussion thread where people hadn't posted in the list thread. I only took their first post in the discussion thread, as their name was added to an exclusion list in Excel once it picked up the post. ..... so, without further ado, here are the results! 1st place scored 10 points, 2nd place 9, down to 10th place scoring 1 point. I've posted the whole list here - there were 248 albums
  2. This is a companion thread to http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?showtopic=184981 - if you've already posted there and want your favourites to be part of the compiled list, please post your results here - feel free to list up to 10 albums - in this format: Position - Artist - Album for example, 01 - Friendly Fires - Friendly Fires 02 - Portishead - Third 03 - Cut Copy - In Ghost Colours Please don't post any opinions or responses to other forumites' choices in this thread - you can do that in http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?showtopic=184981. The spaces and hyphens between position, arti
  3. Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to format their lists for this. A standard format made it a lot easier and quicker to do than in previous years..... so, without further ado, here are the results! 1st place scored 10 points, 2nd place 9, down to 10th place scoring 1 point. I've posted the whole list here - there were 220 albums voted for in all. If enough people want to query the results or look at the raw data, then I'll upload the spreadsheet to YSI later. Just having a quick look at critics' top 10 lists, it's great to see that we have only 2 albums in common with Q's top 10 Pitc
  4. I've done more or less the same as last year and combined the top 10s with rating posts in the unstructured discussion for those that didn't post a top 10. It's based on a score of 10 for 1st place down to 1 for 10th place. I'll upload the spreadsheet where I did the calculations later on if anyone has any queries or wants to check they were counted correctly, but for now, here are the results! The winner got about 2.8% of the overall vote, which just goes to show how eclectic we are... Position - Album - Artist (Total) 1 - Donuts - J Dilla (86) 2 - Ys - Joanna Newsom (78) 3 - The Eraser - Th
  5. Wow, this was a real pain to collate all the votes as so much was in the unstructured discussion, but I went ahead and did it anyway - it's based on a score of 5 for a 1st place down to 1 for a 5th place. The raw data can be found here if anyone is really interested in seeing which 16 albums placed equal 164th with 1 point, or wants to make sure that I haven't misrepresented them in any way... The results are:
  6. I'm quite happy to compile a chart based on the discussion thread and the list thread - it'll be a bit of work, so I'll only do it if there's any actual interest in seeing the results. I was thinking of scoring it as 5 points for a number 1, 4 points for no.2, etc. I bet it'd be a damn sight more interesting/eclectic than Pitchfork's top 50....
