  1. Did a search for a topic on this but couldn't find one. Maybe not a surprise considering I've seen two videos so far, saying they'd not really heard of it before the last month. This is developed by Gunfire Games and mashes together a few genres. It's part souls, part Borderlands and a bit rogue-like. You can play online with up to three others or play solo, completely offline. It looks to have highly customisable characters, no micro transactions, with a promise of paid and free DLC. The gunplay looks pretty good though the locations seem quite sparse. There's the promise of 40+
  2. I'm surprised there's no topic for this yet but here we are, the remake of Seiken Densetsu 3, aka Secret of Mana 2 aka Trials of Mana is coming out in April and there's a demo available now, for Switch at the least. I've played it for a while and it seems like a very faithful remake of the original SNES game, if a little low-budget compared to something like Dragon Quest XI, keeping the colourful charm and lovely music of the old game and tarting it up for modern tech. The battle system has had a bit of an overhaul too, feeling much better than the clunky 16bit version, and it's worth keeping
  3. Coming November 15th for PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
  4. I thought this might have been Onimusha at first, but no it's a new PS4 exclusive from Sucker Punch. Open world set in feudal Japan.

This is currently 88 on Metacritic and Eurogamer have given it 10/10. It's also highly replayable so I think it warrants its own thread. It's based on the indie PC game and is essentially a rough cross between Indiana Jones, Mario and a Roguelike. It's out today and I can't wait to play it. I'm thinking of getting a fightpad or one of the new silver pads with the improved D-pad. Can anyone say which is the better option? I'm expecting glowing impressions throughout the day so I can get more excited while I wait for my mum to pick me up. Don't let me down lads.
  7. http://yachtclubgames.com/plague-of-shadows/ Free! For people who bought Shovel Knight, obviously. Which is everyone.
  8. Couldn't find a thread for this but it's out now and in early access with founder packs available for purchase and a load of free codes knocking about the usual places. Gameplay trailer: Useless CGI trailer: So what you get is a 60fps free to play 3rd person team shooter. It's cross play on all consoles and has great gyro controls on Switch. I do wonder how many of these hero shooters can be sustained but! This one is from the makers of SMITE and Paladins and runs and plays really well, despite some beta jankine

  11. Another very short trailer on this one, with Spiders moving right away from the Mars War Logs / Technomancer universe into something more fantasy inspired.
  12. Cause no-one seems to bother to make a proper thread and/or update the ones in existence, and since the original Xbox Psychonauts is one of my all-time favourite games, I'm making a thread myself. Psychonauts 2 is the long awaited sequel to the cult classic Psychonauts, which was an awesome 3D action-platformer that saw players litterally dive into the minds of different people, leading to a colourful and insane world in which the imagination of the creators seemed to be the only limitation. The first game came out in 2005, so it's been over 15 years since this incredibly uniq

  14. Forget next-gen, this has to be the trailer of the year. Oh, and it's a really good game too, if the first reviews are any indication. https://www.destructoid.com/review-huntdown-590605.phtml

Looks utterly amazing: It's got a little bits of Super Meat Boy, VVVVV, N++, Escape Goat, and of course Towerfall movement set and midair dash. Single player platformer adventures are still probably my favourite genre, and from the amount I played the single player challenges in Towerfall I trust that this will be another title to look out for. Release later this year.

The IGN article suggests that others in the development team worked on Ninja Gaiden and DOA too. Here's the trailer; watch to the end to hear Greg Baldwin's Aku saying "Rated T for Teen"! Unfortunately, although some of the graph
  22. Who needs next gen, eh? Not officially announced yet, but rated in Taiwan. Let's hope it's a half decent Crash game this time. And knowing Activision, I'm sure they're working hard to stuff it full of microtransactions.
