  1. Why the fuck would you neg that @Broken Richie? Someone puts themself out there like that and even when it's complete shit you don't neg it you monster.
  2. It really feels with the Maeve stuff that a bunch of scenes must have been cut to save time somewhere along the way.
  3. The Maze itself is the sum of a man’s life, the choices he makes, the dreams he hangs onto. And there at the center there’s a legendary man, who’s been killed over and over again … and always clawed his way back to life … he returned for the last time, vanquished all his enemies. He built a house, and around that house he built a maze so complicated that only he could see his way through it.
  4. So westworld is in future world? I think in one way or another Maybe the maze is a metaphor That might fit with the myth about the man at the centre being killed every day until he decided not to die anymore or however it went.
  5. It's a jump from there to the prostitution ring or whatever though. That's why I felt like I'd missed an episode or at least a few scenes somewhere along the way.
  6. Did anyone else feel like they must have missed an episode during Maeve's scenes? Especially when it came to the motivations of the two guys.
  7. I don't think it's necessarily true that I wouldn't have watched/listened to this story delivered in another medium. As I said in my first post, I appreciate the concept - what it tries to do. I just felt it was poorly delivered in this instance. Other artists could do something great with the idea, Terry Pratchett for instance was great at using fantastical backdrops to explore the lives of pretty mundane 'little' people and was able to make it very interesting and insightful in a way a lot of others couldn't.
  8. I don't know, I gave it two goes and I did as far as But it didn't grab me. I just found it all a but tedious. Like I could have watched a film in that time frame and a lot more could have been delivered, the story wouldn't have been stretched so thin. If it had been a film I'd have turned it off after ten minutes. Again, I'm glad people enjoyed it, but it's not for me.
  9. Imagine Bioshock if they removed every game play mechanic except the walking and the audio logs and then changed the environment to a leafy British suburb and you've just about got Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. I know people love this game and I can give it some credit for what its trying to do and for not being yet another world war three simulator, but we should definitely be moving past just good intentions being enough to call a game great. I can't comment on the story over all because after about an hour of play I gave up. But I thought it's delivery was dreadful. There doesn't seem to be any real mystery in the overarching event and so it's the characters that drag things along. I found them too broadly drawn, their lives kind of boring and poorly voice acted. The biggest crime for me though was the delivery method, slowly wandering around this beautifully drawn yet disappointingly sterile little village hoping to trigger one of the audio logs just seemed like an artificial way to stretch out the rather meagre content. I'm happy people liked it, but as with Journey, I guess a lot of these 'profound' experiential games just aren't for me. I did enjoy Gone Home though. The environment was a lot smaller there and it was smarter in the way it delivered its (more interesting) story.
  10. It's the only game between now and March that I want to play on it. I'm more looking forward to picking up a copy of the division now to be honest. Thinking of selling my headset.
  11. They've designed it so it looks like a man in a suit.
  12. A lot of people take issue to paying extra whilst losing the ability to lend games to friends or sell them on when they're finished. As well as it also being very inconvenient to have to wait for downloads. So duh, yes people do still buy discs.
  13. Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight. My PC wasn't quite up to running it, so it was ever so slightly jerky. As a result I couldn't quite stop Jerec escaping into the force energy thing and recharging once I'd got his health down to that point. That's my excuse anyway.
  14. I have a copy of Rigs that I'm considering trading in if you or anyone else potentially wants to do a straight trade for one of the other similarly priced titles? Preferably Battlezone, but not necessarily only that.
  15. Maybe this eye distance measurement thing people mention too Nap.
  16. What's coming up @catinthehat?
  17. 13 quid at game for ps4 version. I was also really interested in this before hearing reviews when it came out. But at this price and now they seem to have improved it so much I think my destiny group and myself now there's four of us are going to jump on this over Christmas.
  18. Future update. ERROR - I was wrong here.
  19. Only fiver a go in game remember ladz!
  20. There's loads of replay value in it with the riddler stuff too.
  21. It was about an hour long in Bristol, show started about an hour after the doors opened. There was an encore though, they were off stage for about half a minute.
  22. There's got to be something more in the works with the reception its received.
  23. Last level is kind of relaxing compared with all that comes before. The ending is a bit of an anticlimax though. But a great game all in all.
