Bad result last night of course but it's still in our hands. I can't say I'm massively confident about getting 6 points from the last two games but we are certainly capable of it. I think Spurs will almost definitely get 6 points from their two games so we simply need two wins. I think we made a lot of mistakes last night. I would have gone to a back 3 with Gabriel, Holding and Tomiyasu, Martinelli and Saka left and right. Xhaka & Elneny sitting. Odegaard & ESR behind Nketia. There's nothing wrong with setting up differently sometimes depending on the opposition. Unless you're Liverpool or City and are just better than everyone else. We should have packed out the midfield, closed off the space and cut off any supply to Son and Kane while also having proper defenders marking them. Cedric v Son was scary stuff even before kick off. Yeah the penalty was a bit soft but I think it was a penalty. No intelligence there from Cedric. Why not try and play the ball? What was the point of doing what he did? As for Holding, absolutely ridiculous stuff. Sending off all day long. Yeah the little elbow from Son was maybe something but not really. Holding totally fucked up and cost us big time yesterday. Ok we were 1-0 down but there was still an hour to play. What on earth was he thinking? Just pure stupidity. Get a point from the game and go into the next two only needing one win. We totally messed it up yesterday. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Most of it self inflicted though. Gabriel getting injured is a huge blow. Let's hope he'll be fit and available. I am an Arteta fan but I think he was guilty of a few mistakes yesterday and his comments after the game about the ref didn't really come across too great. Yeah back your players of course but I find it hard to believe that he really, behind the scenes, thinks the ref is to blame for last night. We were missing Tierney, White & Partey. So some big first teamers missing but being honest he has to take some of the blame as well as Cedric and mostly Holding of course. Let's hope we can pick ourselves up and get 6 points from the next two games and last night will quickly not mean that much.

While it's always disappointing, and a bit boring, when we don't have any new signings to be getting excited about I'm glad we didn't panic and just bring in a body or two. Yeah we look a bit thin and we could be a few injuries/suspensions away from a real problem but we do only have 17 games to navigate. Lacazette, Nketia or even Martinelli could play up top. If it came to it maybe even Pepe could, with the instructions to run around, confuse everyone and make it look like he knows what he's doing, which is pretty much what he does anyway. We did manage to clear the decks of the dead wood. Plus Auba going was always going to happen. Moving onto the summer however, we should let Laca and Nketia go, Xhaka, Cedric, Leno and Elneny going would be fine with me and even Pepe can go too. That would then need some serious investment in the summer window. We seem to have the American keeper coming, I would expect a proper striker to be signed, a proper CM, hopefully Saliba coming into the squad/team. We would still need a RB as cover/competition, a further CM, Balogun coming into contention if he is indeed good enough. Even then we would still need a further striker. Patino coming into the squad too. Of course it would be great to go into the summer window having secured 4th place especially as it is really up for grabs this season.

The guy is a liability. No two ways about it. He’s done this countless times. He won’t ever learn. Absolute liability. Sell him to Roma while Mourinho is still in a job.

Tierney being well 'ard again. No gloves, tights, snoods or even long sleeves in sight Can you spot Tierney?

It's easy to slaughter the club and call it bad management but if Auba wasn't offered a new contract and was allowed to leave on a free 18 months ago the club would have been absolutely buried. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. You could of course say that we didn't learn from the Ozil situation but I don't remember any fans, or pundits actually, saying at the time that we were wrong to give Auba this new contract on these mad wages. It showed ambition apparently and made a statement. If it works out it makes a statement and shows great foresight but if it doesn't work out then it shows bad management. Like I said, hindsight...... It clearly hasn't worked out as he hasn't performed anywhere near the level he was before, we are stuck with a player with 18 months left on his contract that hardly anyone (no one) can afford to buy, or even have for free, and now we have this added situation. Maybe letting him go in January for some kind of fee or at least to get him off the wage bill could be the best outcome all round. He'll need replacing though. Maybe Vlahovic or Calvert-Lewin?

Please not Xhaka or Lacazette. Surely should be Tierney. I could understand White or Gabriel or even Ramsdale. Even Odergaard would make more sense than Xhaka or Lacazette.
  8. I think Tesco must have seen this too. It's now £28.00
  9. Always a winner. Better hurry though, ends Monday!

I have to admit I wasn’t overly excited when I first heard we were linked to him but he’s an Arsenal player now, really wants to be at the club and has come across really determined and well up for it. We should get behind him. All this shit he’s getting on social media is embarrassing and the people posting all this bollocks are nothing but mugs. He’s been getting some real shit on various platforms and he’s done nothing wrong apart from wanting to play for us and to show what he can do.

Not sure what you mean. Are you saying the club said they had Covid to cover up something else? The club said they were ill last week. Just that. And they were. The press, and everyone else however, jumped on stories, made up stories about them having fallen out with Arteta, Auba wants to go, we want him to go, we want Laca to go but no one wants him etc etc...

Auba, Laca, Willian & Runarsson all tested positive and that was the reason they didn’t play last week. So much for them having fallen out with Arteta and there being more to it…..

So Ramsdale not starting tonight for Sheffield United surely means that deal is done too.

I feel a bit better now. Maybe that was done to give us some chance of getting a few quid for him if/when he's sold next summer.

Odegaard will be a good signing and I think it's looking like it's going to happen. I think we'll get Ramsdale too and that'll be it with the ins. Surely a couple will leave even though it should be at least 5. Odegaard was good last season for us and could potentially develop into an excellent player. I've kind of wanted Maddison instead though to play as an 8 next to Partey with ESR as the 10. I know having the luxury of sometimes resting players can't be a bad thing, as well as the inevitable injuries taken into account, so having both Odegaard and ESR in the same squad/team isn't bad of course even though that probably means ESR will be moved to the left or right like last season. Surely he's stronger through the middle? I wonder if Odegaard can play deeper in the 8 role and ESR as the 10 with Saka on one side and either Pepe, Martinelli or Auba on the other side? On the down side, if it's true that we turned down £12mill from Palace for Eddie then that's turned out pretty shit as he's now injured so how on earth do you sell a shit and injured player. If Roma gave us a few extra million Xhaka would have gone so how he ends up with a new 4 year contract and the captains armband is beyond me. I know the market is dead but I can't understand how we can't get rid of Bellerin who apparently wants to leave and is prepared to take a pay cut, can't give Kolasinac away, can't get rid of Torreira who's playing with Mickey Mouse somewhere, can't get even a few quid for AMN who Wolves wanted for £20mill a year ago apparently. As for Willian, I know his wages are a huge problem with moving him on but surely something just has to be arranged to get him out the door.

Willian isn’t even on the bench. Hope that means he’s off. Karl Hein is our sub keeper. 19 years old. Scary.

Could be Leno, Chambers, Mari, White, Tierney, Xhaka, Lokonga, Saka, ESR, Pepe, Martinelli or Balogun Still a decent 11 The bench is going to be horrendous though

Are there any news on the Partey injury and how long he'll be out? He was having a scan on Monday just gone wasn't he?
  20. Could Messi play for 'free' By that I mean he's off Barcelona's wage bill but a club sponsor pays him to play there and the sponsorship money Barca would get is just adjusted accordingly. Or is that just breaking all the rules?
  21. They’re all crazily good players but potentially he’s as good, if not better, than all of them. Foden might have something to say about that though.
  22. They would cost a bit more I think. £100 million for Grealish is about right.

I think I would like to keep only Willock out of this group. We should try and get as much as we can for AMN and Nketiah. Maybe a loan for Nelson wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. All that said, ideally it would be nice to get rid of Willian, Bellerin, Cedric, Kolasinac and Torreira first. All easier said than done of course. Then get Maddison in to play as an 8 next to Partey and leave ESR as the 10. Then either Lamptey from Brighton or Aarons from Norwich at RB. Desperately need a number 2 keeper too. Not convinced with Ramsdale, especially for £30+mill. If there’s still money floating around then sell Laca and bring in a replacement. Martinez would be great but very unlikely. Not Tammy Abraham please. No more Chelsea cast offs. Bissouma would have been good if Xhaka went to Roma. Better than Sander Berge. A Xhaka move would have been good for all concerned I think. I would have preferred that. That’s everything I know.
  24. PSG got to be favourites I suppose. Man City maybe in with a shout what with the Pep connection (and the billions of pounds floating around of course). USA maybe? Juventus would be fun if it meant Messi and Ronaldo in the same team.
