  1. Hi - i'm putting together a piece on the 360 Elite and I was wondering if you lot would be able to help. I'm trying to gauge consumer opinion and demand for Elite for a piece in this Friday's magazine. So, what i'd like to know is: - If non-360 owners are tempted by the prospect of Elite - If existing 360 owners will be buying the extra-large hard drive - ...and how much you expect to pay and when you'd like/expect to see it arrive Fire away.... Neil
  2. Hi, It's Neil from games trade weekly MCV. As part of a Wii launch analysis feature we're running next week, we'd really like to get an idea of what gamers like yourselves think of the console, now that it has finally arrived. There's loads to talk about - does it live up to the hype? does it disappoint? have you had problems tracking one down today? or has it been easy? what reaction have you had from 'non-gaming' types? And what are your thoughts on the launch titles? Am I asking too many questions? We'd like to take a selection of comments and print them in the mag next week, complete with username. Also if you have any pics of the midnight launch, or other interesting/amusing shots of you or your friends playing on Wii, please do post them up here too. any contributions welcome! Neil
  3. It's interesting, as always, to read all your views, even when it's MCV at the centre of conversation! We can see that whilst some of you are pleased MCV has used rllmuk feedback in some of its features, some of you are less happy about it. So it seems right to explain to you why we've done this in the past. Yes, MCV is a trade mag, but consumer opinion is incredibly important to all facets of the trade - be it retail, publishers, developers or whoever. So yes, you could criticise us for asking for consumer feedback, but to the majority of our readership it's very interesting. The reason why we have approached rllmuk is because of the numerous web communities out there in the wilds of the internet, this is one of the most lively. Compared to other forums it's welcoming, informed and has always offered interesting and contrasting views when we have approached it in the past. So there. I hope that clears things up a little. Thanks again for your help. Keep up the good work!
  4. Hi everyone. Thanks a lot for all your feedback on this - it's very much appreciated. I can't say for sure when the feature will appear in MCV, but certainly look out for it in the next couple of weeks. Thanks again.
  5. Hi there. Here at MCV Magazine we're working on a feature entitled "If I were EA..." and we're asking for your help! The question is in the title really. EA is the most powerful publisher in the world. Do you agree with its publishing practices? Do you think its annual updates are harming the industry? Do you think people unfairly criticise EA? What do you think of its online policy? Do you think EA has to change? Do you think EA is already doing a great job? Do you think everyone else is just jealous? We'd love to hear your views. All we're asking is that you complete the following sentence: "If I were EA........" Your feedback can be as short or as long as you like. We're planning to gather your responses on Thursday 10th August. Thanks in advance for your help.
