  2. Guillermo del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness. Hopefully with The Shape Of Waters success it will help get it back on track...
  3. I was surprised how fishy it was. And how sweet. The Talisker that put me off was much more medicine-y.
  4. So I ignored your advice and tried this in the pub over the weekend. I loved it at the time and had a couple more. The next morning I wasn't a fan though...
  5. Yeah that sounds like what was happening.
  6. @Rowan Morrison That helped get my head around it. When I looked at it I realised that the ENV Amt in the Envelope section (5) is actually sending the envelope to the Metalizer by default. You can see it in the mod matrix in the top right. It can be patched to the other wave mods. Pretty cool
  7. That all makes sense, thanks @Rowan Morrison, will give it a try.
  8. Synth guys help! Can someone explain to me what the following knobs do and how they relate to each other? I've never quite figured it out despite using them quite a lot: The ENV Amt knob in the Envelope section The ENV Amt knob in the Filter section The KBD Tracking knob in the Filter section
  9. Do these tend to sell out? I'd like to get this at Christmas but won't wait if it going to be rare.

  11. Cheers guys, will add Caol Ila to the list.
  12. I’ll definitely try and get up there for the tour one day. With a designated driver in tow! I want to try something a bit different next, more smokey or petey but not too heavy. Tried Talisker Skye recently and it was pretty nasty
  13. I've tried the 15 and 18 year Glenfiddichs and the 15 year was my favourite. Just got a bottle of Monkey Shoulder after learning it was a blend of Glenfiddich and Balvenie, pretty damn good.
  14. I got a bottle of Grants Sherry Cask for £14 in Tesco the other week. It's pretty good for the money and will save me forking out for my usual Glenfiddich all the time.

  20. I stuck this on my Amazon wish list when it was first released for PS4 and it ended up being a Christmas present. What I expected was a glorified tech demo where I’d play with the mud physics for a couple of hours then get bored. What I got was something pretty special. The mud (and water) physics are truly amazing but what really hooked me was the environments, they feel brilliantly real and natural and do a great job of immersing you in the game. You really do feel like your fighting against nature at times. The actual game part of this is pretty thin, essentially you are delivering logs across one of several open worlds with choice of vehicle and route left up to you. The game does a good job of forcing you take different routes by tasking you with unlocking vehicles by getting to them on the map, the need to fuel and repair your trucks and discover watchpoints where more of the map will be revealed. I’m still to get bored but I feel repetition will set in at some point. The environments can feel quite samey with the same textures, buildings and tree models throughout. The devs do a good job with the maps though to alleviate this by adding mountains, swamps, towns and rivers. There’s a day/night cycle but I still would like some rain or snow at times. There’s a real sense of isolation too when you’re miles from anywhere stuck trying to find a route through the wilderness, I quite enjoyed that though, quite a unique sensation for a game to give, almost Dark Souls like! Highly recommended but certainly not for everyone! Hopefully some of the PC mods will make it over to the PS4 in some form. I’m yet to try multiplayer but it looks great.
