  1. I enjoy dipping in and out of this, taking an FND base or checkpoint without raising the alarm, the odd treasure hunt or two. Popping heads with my souped up sniper rifle is quite satisfying. But on the subject of weapons, I find the resolver ones to be somewhat useless and not as fun as I think they’re supposed to be. I never use them. And I’ve basically stuck with the same supremo backpack all the way through.
  2. Caught up on this after not really liking the first episode. And to be honest, I still don't like it. I can barely remember anything about it after an episode's finished. They're like a sugar hit. I need something more. However, can't fault the wonderful Maslaney, she's clearly giving it her all. But for me, it's not working. I suppose it's short which means I didn't have to waste too much time.
  3. Finished it. I actually thought...
  4. Not as good as Ragnarok. Just about above average really. Bale was wasted. There was a whole chunk of the film where I forgot he was even in it. Screaming goats were funny once, maybe twice. But they kept going with that joke. Sadly, not enough to make it funny again. Cancer subplot just tonally weird within the context of the rest of the film. 2½ out of 5
  5. Their apps are a complete mess with still too much other stuff mixed in with the Prime stuff. I don't know whether they still do it, but I once got caught out renting a movie only to discover it was on fucking Prime!!! Never fell for that one again. Third party apps are best for searching the Prime catalogue.
  6. It shouldn't really be "mind blown" as it seems so obvious now. But...
  7. I’ve watched no trailers for this, or read any of the books (have seen the films though). Will be nice to go in a bit cold. Are Amazon ditching Wheel of Time for this?
  8. I enjoyed Samaritan as well. 1 out of 5 is harsh.
  9. Something really annoying has started happening. I don't know whether it's a bug or a "feature", but captured people from miles away keep getting highlighted with a little blue dot, accompanied by a beep sound. The game wasn't doing this before. I'm not sure if I've gained some annoying ability through levelling up or something but it's really getting on my nerves when exploring. I hear a beep sound, look around, nothing. Then another beep sound, and the captured idiot is highlighted with a blue dot. Then the blue dot disappears. 30 seconds later, another beep, blue dot appears again. As always, miles away over a fucking hill somewhere. It's got to be a bug, right?
  10. Have you got a projector? You never mention it.
  11. I also watched the Woodstock 99 doc. I actually don't remember it at all, even though I must've seen it on the news. The organisers really didn't want to take any blame for what happened, did they? I thought the way one of them tried to gloss over the issue of rape within the festival with a "well, there were a lot of people there, shit happens" attitude was particularly low.
  12. Rolling Vengeance (1987) A young trucker gets his family wiped out by a bunch of redneck brothers whose father is Ned Beatty, owner of the local titty bar. So the young trucker builds a giant monster truck with flames shooting out of it and goes on a revenge rampage. What I liked about this is that, despite the crazy premise, everyone plays it pretty much straight. There's no knowing winks to the camera. I suppose that's to be expected given the era this was made, but even back then someones must've thought this is a nutso premise, so let's play it totally for laughs. But they don't. The acting is a cut above for this type of film, especially from the lead and his girlfriend who play it so earnestly you can't help but root for them. Scenery chewing duties are handed to Ned Beatty and he's brilliantly scuzzy. The best monster truck revenge movie you'll ever see. 3.5 out of 5
  13. Shame. I enjoyed it more than season 4 of Bloated Things.
  14. Agree. I think the last one I played was 3, which I think was the one where I was constantly being attacked by honey badgers. It got on my nerves. The exploration in this feels a bit more like Just Cause 2, where you can end up exploring areas off the beaten track with not much in them. Having said that, it's still icon overload on the map.
  15. Why did you take 0.25 off the score? Joking aside, Threads is an amazing film.
  16. Not sure. But you can buy the US 4K on Amazon.
