I have the Network box sets of UFO and The Professionals, and they both look amazing. Sad news indeed that they’ve gone under.

The thing is with Black Mirror, I want to like it. I should like it. Which is why I pop into this thread occasionally when a new series comes out, or is coming out, to see if there’s any episodes that pique my interest. Most of them end up being pretty rubbish.

I noticed this is out there now. Couldn’t finish the third one, I got bored. Is the fourth one just more of the same? I assume it doesn’t matter if I finish JW3. The story is hardly complicated.

My mum tested Netflix and can still watch it despite me confirming my household. Which isn't what I wanted as I'm itching for an excuse to cancel it.

I mean, c'mon. The guy's got a fair amount of charisma and talent -- talent which he has mostly pissed away with poor choices admittedly. And he seems like a cool guy in interviews and stuff.

Fascination (1979) Jean Rollin as a director is hit and miss for me, but this one is more hit than miss. Nobody shoots mist shrouded woodland and crumbing old ruins and castles quite like Rollin. There are some beautifully framed shots. Especially of Brigitte Lahaie's boobs. And she's never looked more iconic than when striding through the woods in a black robe wielding a scythe (although walking around with two big hounds either side of her in Grapes of Death is pretty close). Even the poor Rollin films have a certain something, that something being a dreamlike quality where you have no real idea what could happen next. 3½ out of 5

I’ve also been asked to confirm my household. My mum is currently on holiday so she’s probably in for a surprise when she tries to watch Netflix when she gets back home. I’m going to cancel. Like others have said, might just sub for a month now and again if there is something I want to watch.

Okay, just got the email. So the party’s over. If my mum wants to keep watching she’s going to have to cough up! It’s getting too expensive!

I like the mix of zombies in this. Keeps things fresh. My most feared are probably the Butchers. I keep those fuckers at range and machine gun them if I can. I also dread seeing a Screamer. Always target those quick sharp to stop other zombies going crazy. Some of the earlier zombies, like the Crushers, now feel like child's play. Agree about the skill card system. A lot of them I've picked up seem pretty useless, with the Autophage ones having one too many penalties for any extra powers you might get. I've kept the same cards for most of the game, ones like the flying drop kick and ground pound. I mix in a few that create explosions to stun big groups of zombies. Two main quests from the end now and about half the side quests still to do. I'll probably power through to the end and mop those up after. Quick question: ages since I played the first one, but didn't that have driving in it? Or am I thinking of something else?
