  1. This is the other cab that I bought last week.. Its the same height as the other BAS cab that I’ve got in my kitchen but the profile is slightly different (curved at the top rather than angled). As you can see, some idiot has stuck this crappy home made bezel on the glass and have unfortunately stuck it on the original artwork. Despite heating up the home made bezel, it started to peel the original artwork off when I tried to remove it so I’m either going to have to try and get a replacement glass bezel or get some universal artwork from Olly at https://www.arcadeartshop.com Got to replace the player 1 joystick too, as it’s not the original. Its currently got a nasty LCD screen which I’m going to swap out with a CRT from the quiz machine that is next to it.
  2. It depends on what you are using. In the machine above it’s got a PC in it running Groovymame and the monitor is a VGA arcade screen that I got out of a quiz machine. So it can run vertical games but obviously they are not full screen where the horizontal games are. My new cab that I picked up last week still has the full Jamma harness in it so I’ll just stick a 60 in 1 vertical pcb in that for now. It also has an LCD screen which I’ll be swapping out as I prefer CRT’s.
  3. Here is my horizontal one: I’ve just bought another which isn’t in as nice condition which I’m going to use as a vertical set up.

  6. Very little info really. It’s being developed by Wasp and is set to go out with the second Kickstarter machines. I know that it’s been in development for quite a while and I’m assuming that it’s nearly done. This unlisted teaser went up a couple of weeks back.
  7. Yeah, Spectrum graphics coloured in nicely. Looks great!

  11. I’ve had a few issues with it too. I’m sure that Jotego is fully aware of the problems.
  12. Well the guys seem to think that it’s a good idea.
  13. I’ll be discussing it with the boys this weekend.

  15. Personally I’d recommend a MiSTer and using the Spectrum Next core on that.
  16. Dean, Chris & Steve get nostalgic once again about the 1990’s and this time look at 90’s TV and reveal what they got up to on their nights out. Plus, Steve ventures to Blackpool for Play Expo 2022! https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/retroasylum/Episode_293_-_90s_Part_2.mp3

  22. Update_all certainly grabs the bios files for the PlayStation core. I accidentally deleted mine on Sunday as I was messing around with my hard drive. Ran update all and it downloaded them again for me automatically.

  24. Yeah, typical eh? Although to be fair I actually spent sometime playing it a day or so ago and once I finally got to grips with the controls I actually kind of enjoyed it. Saying that, you can see my initial rant about it here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CjLQxXkImxz/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= And it turns out that you simply press fire to make the ball re-appear which I never knew
