Oh, amazing - thank you! -
Cyberpunk 2077 - PS5 and XSeries versions out now + major patch

I'd be bang up for this if it was Steam rather than GOG, as I want the option of playing it via GeForce Now. If anyone spots a similarly-priced Steam key ahead of launch I'd love to know. -
I have bought that stand thank for costing me moneys.
-
How did you manage that? I'm all preloaded via Ubisoft Connect or whatever it's called and would love to dive in early if I can.
-
Any word on the quality of the Switch port?
-
PC Game Supply is quick and reliable - picked some up there yesterday.
-
Just finished the first one.
-
I think I really like it but I am *terrible* at it, even with the Rhythm multiplier thing turned off.

I believe you only play one round, but you have a week to do so. It's pretty windy out there so wrap up warm. (Would be interested to see if it cuts in any footage of my round to yours, like they do in the PGA mode.)
-
I've set a very beatable score in the Rllmuk Golfing Society fyi. Includes a bogey!

I've set up a Rllmuk Golfing Society on Switch - first round starts tomorrow and runs for a week. I've no idea how this works, @Stoppy2000 suggested it so let's see how goes. See you on the fairway! (Is that something golfers say?)

Congrats! Backed!

PSA: In Training, you can calibrate your downswing which has made the world of difference to me. Also PSA: Actually the Switch version is pretty rough. Frame rate can interfere with the swing, so you need to compensate for that. Also you need to be online and seemingly accept the 2K Ts and Cs every session. Still enjoying it, but it feels like it's a patch away from being great.
-
Yeah, it's certainly gimped on Switch, but absolutely playable - and arguably the best handheld proper golf game yet. I'm enjoying it, but I'm terrible at the timing of the downswing
-
Promising! Hope the Switch version stacks up.

Ahh, yes, looks like it. Hmmm. Around £40 off the Russian eShop, so losing out on a future trade-in if it's poor. But fortunately you can't pre-order, so will see what the reviews say and maybe take a punt. Didn't they say the course builder is absent from the Switch version? If so, they've not updated the store text...

Switch version is out next month

I've downloaded the NVIDIA driver update through GeForce Experience, and whilst Flight Simulator is shown the application says it "can't be optimised". Any idea why that is? It's the PC Game Pass version I'm playing.
-
I know for a fact that one of those dates listed is bollocks, so I'd assume the rest is tbh.
-
Oh, sorry - I didn't mean to stand in the way of any deal. Hope I didn't. Your games will be better, I am sure.
-
I'll rectify this - PM incoming.

Really helpful advice, all - thank you. @mushashi that is the one I'm think of. I've been running off a Razer Blade for the last three years, so I'm used to the noise - just don't really have space for a desktop PC in the current set-up. I'm mainly interested in the 2060 for the ray-tracing, and that's mainly for Cyberpunk, but will continue to investigate - maybe I don't need it to be an ultrabook. Thanks again.

I wonder if you wouldn't mind indulging me on one last laptop question. I'm after the Zephyrus G14, but the only variant I can find in the UK with an RTX 2060 is a QHD screen, which I understand will impact the framerate. However, I have a 1080p monitor at home I could easily link to - so my question is: if I find some games running poorly on 1440p, would outputting only to an external 1080p monitor give me exactly the same grunt as if the internal display was 1080p? And if that 1080p monitor had a 120hz refresh rate, would that effectively be using the laptop power as efficiently as it would if its internal screen was the same? Finally (sorry) would knocking down the laptop screen to 1080 resolution if needed have any significant drawbacks? Sorry!

Really useful, thank you.
