  1. The English AES manual for Metal Slug is apparently worth more than my entire AES collection. I remember seeing the Japanese boxed version at a local cash converters for £250 in the early 2000s, I thought it was way overpriced. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Metal-Slug-1-US-Euro-English-AES-Manual-Neo-Geo-NGH-System-Console-SNK-Shmup/392569357614?hash=item5b66f5052e:g:cxEAAOSwcV5d5wSz
  2. This console is going to make the Neo Geo CD format useable for the first time for me. I could never get on with the loading times, for things like Last Blade and KOF 98 it would literally take minutes between rounds. Being able to play official SNK products on a console with little to no loading is what convinced me to part with my money. I looked into Neo Geo AES a while back but it's too expensive to build up a nice library of games. I've since been able to get a little library together (below) that I wanted for Polymega, many of the tiles sell for £20-40, but things like Big Tournament Golf are expensive. Big Tournament Golf. Metal Slug. Metal Slug 2. Last Blade. Last Blade 2. King of Fighters 96. King of Fighters 98. Ninja Commando. Sengoku 2. Magical Drop 2. Crossed Swords 2. Flying Power Disk. Last Hope. Viewpoint. Baseball Stars 2. League Bowling. King of the Monsters 2. Last Resort. Mutation Nation. Super Sidekicks 3. I hope they make the light gun available for purchase soon so I can finally play my copies of Virtua Cop, House of the Dead and Point Blank on my OLED and it certainly looks like the perfect device for someone like me who doesn't want to fiddle around with a DIY solution and also be able to rip my entire 16-bit and 32-bit collection to the PolyMega SSD.
  3. Anyone got a dispatch from Currys? I'm nervous now.
  4. Thanks for that you've saved me a phone call to them. Roll on tomorrow.

eBay love scalpers they make them millions of £s. They are just deleting listings that can't be fulfilled within the 30 day limit.

  9. Surely that's taking care of my family > the guitar > Street Fighter. I mean I love Street Fighter but really?
  10. Has anybody got a spare Battlefield 1 beta PC code available? My inbox is empty
  11. Rllmuk Redsuns Level 10! Someone has been putting in the hours.
  12. I've joined the Rllmuk Redsuns, hopefully we can get some online racing going tonight.
  13. Played it all night, one race each, load of mates, pass the pad (still haven't got online) We haven't had so much fun since we played the 8 player Daytona machine at the Trocadero in 95, even the drift challenges are excellent.
  14. You can really throw the early cars around the track, sense of speed is very good. I can understand the criticisms it has no rewind, no replay, no visible driving line, no voiceovers, no story, but for me these are the reasons I like the game. The handling is just, fun, which is ultimately why I'm playing the game in the first place. I think this is a game for the purists who don't need the unnecessary stuff found in most modern arcade style racing games. I've played a lot of Assetto Corsa recently and that will be my sim game for the next year or so, this sits very nicely beside it for semi-sim/arcade thrills. Soundtrack is superb too if you like your electronica.
  15. Can you make much money reselling it? I was thinking about putting mine up in a few weeks when the novelty factor wears off.
  16. If you're having judder issues in Extended mode I fixed it by dropping the resolution of my TV output to 900p and setting the refresh to 75Hz. Direct to HMD is buttery smooth for everything I've tried, I have a R9 280X 3GB.
  17. Just got mine too. Sightline: The Chair is great for showing the device off to mates. Elite looks like it will be really good when it has better support, and Project Cars is already working really well. This video gives an idea of what it's like when viewed in the Rift, the head tracking isn't 1:1 at the moment though, so still needs a bit of work.
  18. There is nothing quite like racing round Mugello in the early morning/late afternoon with a grid of 20+ F40s, lighting is superb. I might have to pick up a Rift for this, the Logitech GT 5 wheel is fine just needs a little bit of tweaking. Works surprisingly well on the 360 pad for a full sim too.
  19. Not the XB1 pad, you can plug in a 360 one but I much prefer the new controller for this game.
  20. Exactly most people don't care, I showed my mate Titanfall on the PC at 1080p@120Hz and he couldn't tell the difference, where as I notice screen tearing and frame rate drops on the XB1 version but still prefer it because of the pad and the level playing field.
  21. Anyone on XBONE tonight? Add me: blakeboogie
