And just unlocked the Platinum :D

I'm really looking forward to the sequel on PS5, this game already looks incredible and plays so well. Add in more variation and they could potentially make an all-time classic.

So mr Gerbik since I consider you to be a Tenchu-adept:  does this scratch my-still-itching-next-gen-Tenchu-itch?  In the sense that the stealth is really enjoyable?  Your opinion counts for a lot!

  2. I skipped from game-reveal to game-reveal throughout the stream & except for Ori, there was absolutely f**k all interesting.

MS has painted itself into a very cramped corner & some of their babbling about "creativity" etc felt completely hollow- again.

They're creatively bankrupt with their anemic IP.

As for the hardware: what liquid cooling system is reliable over many years?

  3. What is truly staggering is the bar set in singleplayer carries over into multiplayer (for me anyway)

TLoU's MP designers should receive the first Nobel Prize for Game Design.

I'm still playing it (now in 1080p 60FPS) almost daily - after 4 years...

...I may also need new headphones though. Shame the official PS4 ones are no longer on sale anywhere :(

count yourself lucky - I bought one and despite my handling it with kids gloves, its head band cracked and broke after like 15 months.

It's a f**king disgrace, although they sounded adequate & the comfort was OK.

As it is though, it feels like the game punishes you for actually using its core mechanics, which combined with an upgrade system which consistently leaves your most used weapon as your least powerful

Also there's way too many overlong cut-scenes constantly interrupting what are supposed to be highly repayable bite-sized pockets of action, but that's par for the course with Platinum.

    ...are you f*cking serious?!

  6. That 2.0 Gold headset seemed like a Good Idea to purchase them about 2 years ago... Then - just before the EU warranty was about to run out - the upper plasticky band decided to break (not even at or near the hinges) This was despite using them with Kid's Gloves. Of course they refused to honour the warranty and thus started my quest for some real headphones from a decent brand.

Bought this Denon - double the price of the Sony Shitquality set - but with a way more quality feel and soundstage. Connects via wire and BT with 2 devices at the same time. Well impressed!

  7. My gold headset broke ABOVE the hinges, despite handling them with kid gloves. They're awesome, but Sony can fuck right off if they think I'm gonna give them my money again. Looking into ordinary stereo headset alternatives now - with Bluetooth aptX support - any suggestions from the rllmuk hivemind?

  8. My only real worry is they are a little plasticky so I make sure to handle them with kid gloves!

Mine just broke after 18months - after handling them with kid gloves!

The plastic band on top is too thin - my headset cracked 2/3 cm ABOVE the hinges :blink2:

Now I'm in a game of pingpong between the retailer and Sony. Neither want to cough up  (although theoretically EU law should protect me - I'm in the "grey zone" of +6months of usage)

It's not too expensive & it works great, but this kind of experience - programmed malfunctioning - I only associated with shady brands!

  9. MGS V

OK hear me out - I loved and almost platinumed 1/2/3, but 4 was a case of: 'Will you please decide to be an action or a stealth game, thank you' and a load of other issues (but gameplay wise, that was The Biggie)

V ? Seems more gameplay-y, but I don't know what to do really: retreat when sirens go of or go in all guns blazing? Give up and wait and eternity for the sirens to stop?

    Some tips appreciated, because

  10. I came to TLoU multiplayer pretty late on but it didn't seem like many players were using much of the DLC stuff and those that were didn't appear to be doing all that much better. The only slightly sucky weapon to be on the receiving end of was the crossbow, I thought.

It's a brilliant weapon, for sure, but not overpowered like the bow (I still think after all this time that's the only truly overpowered weapon)

You've only got 4 bolts to shoot with - and the interval between shots is quite long plus the ammo is very expensive.

The crossbow is strategically FUN - for example in defense: if your camp is being overrun, a few bolts in a few opponents (harnessed or not) make them all retreat & your teammates have been bought some time to regroup and/or heal. In offense: sneaking/skulking around opponents have got no clue where the bolts are coming from & many times 1 bolt + a little chase on foot + a few handgun rounds finishes of the job. Depending on the distance to run and where the bolt hit - it becomes more tricky to "dash in to kill off".

Looking at the MP of Uncharted 4, I have to say I'm underwhelmed and will be giving it a pass. I definitely see some TLoU ideas in there, but it's nowhere near as tense and way too fast. Also: getting too old for it, I guess....

  11. @Rushy @Yewone: from the Playstation Blog re: new PS4 firmware feature :

"Events: A new hub for Events has been added to PS4, accessible from the home screen. This will give you an overview of activities taking place in the games you play most, as well as official broadcasts. For instance, here’s an in-game racing event taking place in Project Cars, which you can register for directly from the Events hub."

Wouldn't this facilitate the setup of what's been organized now ?
