  1. I love a bit of Destiny, but had to give it up as a lot of stuff was built for teams and was getting more and more complex.  I would though jump at the chance to start again and tackle some of this stuff with a group who maybe don't take it too seriously.  You know, for fun.

Otherwise, I'm playing Forza Horizon 4, Borderlands 3 and Fortnite.  All good fun solo and in a team.  Feel free to add me, gamertag Deeptone. Add Rllmuk to the message so I know your not a random weirdo, just my kinda weirdo.

  2. Yep, it was delivered about 5 minutes before I had to pick the kids up.  Tried to get a picture of it with the dog but she was having none of it.  More of a PS5 girl, I think.  Will try later for the good of the forum.

Just letting it download all the new shiny patches, maybe even play something by the weekend.

Mine was loaded on the van at about 11am yesterday, so all is not lost for today yet!

Yep, just got a notification, being delivered between 1.30 and 4.30 today.  Just have to pick the kids up from school at 3.15, I guess they will try and deliver it then.

  4. I was also fobbed off with the excuse that there was a last minute rush of orders on the product which caused a delay, which is Trump levels of bullshit since you haven't been able to order the bloody thing for 6 weeks.

I got given the email below, wonder if it matches what others have been told.  Happy to share my ,admittedly very entitled email, if anyone wants it.  Let's give 'em hell.

Did people who got the delay email from Amazon also get the "Good news, we'll be delivering your console on launch day!" email?

For those getting Amazon delay emails, had you got a despatch email yesterday?

    No and no.

If only you had more space to put a console that looks best sitting vertically under a TV. Where could it possibly go?

Ah, now I've gone to great lengths to frost the glass in the cabinet so Mrs Deeptone can't see what's in there.  There is a strong possibility she is not aware of its impending arrival.

  7. If I was a cynical person*, it may seem like they don't bother with people with good credit histories, but can probably make more from piling on interest to people who they suspect are more likely to default.

Although I'm sure Game, being such bastions of retail, would never partner with anybody like this...

*Yes, I was declined with a hard search.  Have an excellent credit history and never been declined before.  Seems odd.

  8. It is indeed true.  Went to the local Tesco last night to pick up Luigi's mansion and links awakening.  Only they wouldn't sell me Luigi as they didn't believe it was out.

Even showed them the release date on the Nintendo website and they still refused.  This is what happens when you insist on living in deepest Suffolk, though.  Back there tonight, they had better not have sold out.

Anyone know of a supermarket or shop that is going at £44.99 or below for this? I need to buy a physical version and I forgot to pre-order. Am having my 6 year old for the weekend and I know he really wants to play it... aaaaargh!

Not exactly what you asked for but it's apparently in the 2 for 60 quid deal at Tesco.  Other games include links awakening, mario odyssey, mario kart 8, Splatoon 2 and super Mario maker 2 amongst others.

If there's something you've had your eye on for a while it's a cracking deal.
