    Below Is Out Now

Maybe this was mentioned, but at least one of the developers of Fez - Renaud Bédard - is part of the Below dev team. He worked closely with Fish (after Shawn McGrath left the project), and programmed Fez' game engine. Apparently this is something they are going to change Im not passing judgement on this until at least a couple of weeks and players start to discover more aspects of the gameplay. I mean, I dont even know how to play the game yet... I totally get what you are saying, but they have said that they ´scrapped´the game systems several times over the years so I find it hard to believe that this is not working as they want it to. Just saying that I dont think its due to an oversight by the developers, but of course that wont make a difference to most people if they are put off by Capy's decisions.

I put some morsels in there just to see if it worked like that, but I was thinking more in terms of doing runs to craft some nice potions (red and green, soup/stew) and torches. There are probably lots of stuff to discover in crafting which should be storable in the pocket. I made some caltrops but I never got to try them out. Probably lots more to discover. And there are 4 clothing slots in the wardrobe but ive not seen a single piece of that so far. Maybe some armour with elemental resistances or +HP/Attack and so forth? You can make cloth by combining threads, does that mean you have to craft the gear as well?

Ive only had around 5-6 hours with the game, but when I left it I stuck some morsels in the Pocket, and theyre obviously still there post death. So it looks to me like youre supposed to do some farming for resources (food, potions, crafting materials) and then figure out a plan how to access the pocket at strategic points to make use of them on the way down. There is also a wardrobe for gear/equipment? I dont know how that works.

Lost my character and lantern on 3 somewhere, and died again on the way back there. Argh. First serious brick wall. Had 4 or 5 nice potions and lots of arrows. Two shortcuts unlocked

Probably a decision made by Capybara, and not Microsoft. I dont theyre considered first-party?

  8. I have to work and travel for the next few days but I will try and join you guys later when I can. Some postcards from my merchant voyages
  9. Yes I think I tried that trick once, but the problem remains in my experience with managing all of the cages and finding the animals, and then not losing them to some random encounter. Which is exactly what happened in the few quests I tried last night, and I went straight back to the cargo runs for the last stretch to Merchant 50. Theyre more manageable for me at least; pick stuff up at X, deliver at Y. You can still run into all kinds of trouble and lose the cargo, but the quests tend to run at shorter distances between sea posts and outposts, and the NPC characters introduced around the islands in Forsaken Shores. They remind me of the Zunari questline in Wind Waker, and provide a more relaxed way of levelling merchants in my view.

Fallout 76 - Prepare Your GaaS Masks

Theyre people Ive met through sea of thieves, pubg, the division etc, and I know them for going for long-term goals in those games, so there has to be a hook in the game which makes them going. Im not trying to defend Bethesda and the game in any way though, the canvasgate thing pretty much says everything about what they think of their customers.

Fallout 76 - Prepare Your GaaS Masks

A lot of the people on my friend list have been playing this pretty constantly since launch. Im not surprised if this has done much better than what you can gather from reading stuff on forums like this.
  12. This was posted on the forums yesterday Theyre both pretty stable at 30 fps, with a slight framerate advantage on the One X But isnt the One X outputting a 4K image? It used to be 4K30 but I cant remember if they made changes to that at some point.
  13. Yes, 30 doubloons per level up. Im gonna try some of the OG merchant quest and see how they go, I just tend to get in all sorts of trouble in the process of acquiring the animals which is why I went with the cargo runs. Maybe they do give more XP for the work put in. Hit me up if you need a crew mate along the way, Im hoping to be able to focus more on forts and ships when Im done with the Merchants. I still havent seen any of the new stronghold items.

  15. How are you doing with the Merchants @Boothjan? Ive been working with the rep for the last two weeks, level 48 at the moment after buing a ton of levels with doubloons from the campaigns. Went from 28 to 48 in two weeks, and almost 100%ed Forsaken Shores and the Damned campaigns. Still havent done any of the Shrouded Spoils ones, mostly because Ive been solo slooping. After Merchant 50, Im going back to the souls and gold grind (34/32 at the moment) but I will probably try and mix that up with doing galleons and forts and stuff. It was always the Merchants that bugged me the most, and how to get that to 50. Ive been doing cargo runs to level up the Merchants, and totally ignored all of the old quests, but Im not sure what gives the most XP? I got the feeling that I levelled up faster like this, when you dont have to worry about picking stuff up, its all packed and ready for delivery. Just a thought, since you are on the Merchant trail
