  1. The problem with having Angus as a host now is that he would be the brunt of all the jokes and just get ripped into. Boris Johnson as well. It's like they're bigger than the show in a way. As seen with the Neil Kinnoch ep that gets boring very very fast. They need someone completely new.
  2. Have you seen the TV viewing charts lately? What's the point in producing quality drama when you can make reality TV for 1/10th the price and get double the returns.
  3. The script, read on it's own would be completely rubbish. The way it's all delivered though and the way Jon Heder so completely nails the character of Napoleon makes it SWEET!

  7. I was walking past the Radio1 tent this year at Reading Festival and I heard someone say "who's doing that shit cover of Presidents of the USA" while MC5 were playing Kick Out The Jams. I was about ready to kick em for their incolence. A live version I heard by Monster Magnet is my personal favourite, studio version is on the Varisty Blues soundtrack I believe. The history of the MC5 is a fascinating story in itself though.
  8. Am I alone in really wanting to bang his wife then? I'm sure if I asked him about it though and we talked for a bit about stuff he'd be all "that's cool, she likes it when you nibble" or somesuch. So yeah, I like him cos I reckon that's how it would go.
  9. I cant really think of any other single levels that are talked about 8 years after their debut beyond that T-Rex sequence. Experiencing that today with shaders-a-go-go would be sweetness. Having said that the PC version in 3DFX mode is significantly better than the console versions should anyone be aching for a replay. It's the game that cost me my sanity and converted me to the £400 a year PC scene.
  10. It's harmful if your fwapping away to channel 5 friday night soft-pr0n and suddenly Wario appears on the screen grimacing. Scar me for life that would. Imagine it! Go on!

  12. Mine's shipped too. woot. The game is retailing at a cut down price anyway (24.99 I think), The 17.99 isnt as big a bargain as it first seems.
  13. Great CGI is the icing on the cake for a number of movies, LoTR being a great example due to the incredible sets, costumes, acting and lighting used in many of the scenes. An all CGI movie which attempts to depict real humans in real settings (as this mostly does) is like saying "icing is the best bit of a cake, lets make a whole cake out of icing!" An all-CGI movie attempting to depict real people will never be as good as a live action movie stylistically because real people are perfect. The Incredibles I used as an example because it is depicting comic book superheroes in a comic book universe and has constant little special effects flourishes that take full advantage of the technology used.
  14. IGN gave it an IGN 8.7 so I guess it should probably be avoided. It's crackingly inventive on the PC though and handles beautifully.
  15. Given how early XBox 2 software development apparently started and the rumours of a number of games getting ported from XB1 to XB2 it doesn't look like it unfortunately. I don't think anyone was ever really expecting it too. If it isn't backwards compatible I would be pissed as keeping the original under the TV for the sake of the occasional Halo2 session sounds a little silly.
  16. RP is plenty busy afaik and definitely the best option for people who take this whole Role Playing stuff at least a little seriously. I want to be an undead mage personally. Game best have held onto my pre order pack. I preordered Friday morning and they didn't have the packs in. Then I ended up in hospital on Sunday and couldnt collect it.
  17. I don't know! It's MADNESS!!!!1 They haven't mentioned mario dd or BBA either. Fools.
  18. Spellbound is excellent. The words in that are way harder than any of the ones they've had on this so far though. The other day though when that kid got like every single one wrong and they made him stand there on stage bawling his eyes out while they went through each word in turn pointing out just how badly he spelt some of them wrong. That was just brilliant. I swear I almost wrote to Points of View.
  19. That was absolutely fascinating television. BBC at it's utmost best. It wasnt just a random documentary by the way, was the latest in Alan Yentobs Imagine series of art programs
  20. I'm still watching it and it's still exactly the sodding same. whhhhy can't I stop.
  21. It's £15 including delivery from amazon.com if you don't mind the Region 1 ness.
  22. Definitely then. KotOR is set a very long time before Star Wars, while the mysticism of it is certainly in place (and handled better than anything since ep4) they've taken the basic ideas of the series and created their own utterly facinating world from it.
  23. Has Larry completed his sex change now then? That was kinda freaky when he showed up to the Reloaded premier.
  24. Napoleon Dynamite: Pedro, how do you feel about that one? Pedro: It looks nice. Napoleon Dynamite: Yeah, it looks pretty sweet. It looks awesome. It's incredible. <-------- me likey It is the absolute most quotable film I have ever seen. Everytime I see a random quote from it I piss myself.
