  1. Throw away your VHS tapes! Caravan of Courage and Battle for Endor are on Prime!
  2. I think that, for me, it's that he hates doing the press and it makes him come across as bored and disinterested in his work. Ralph Fiennes is another culprit. Part of their very privileged job is to sell the film even if they think it's a stinker and if they're being surly and unengaged, it makes me question why I should be supporting them. I appreciate that being stuck in a room being asked questions on repeat is infuriating but realistically, they're actors so should at least be able to pretend.
  3. I'm pleased we signed him and it's gutting for Portsmouth but we now have 5 first team centre backs and although Lewis Dunk will probably be going to Leicester, it feels a bit over the top when we need goal scorers. Seems a shame to deprive Portsmouth of his services if he's going to end up being an option rather than a regular first team player. I hope we'll see a lot of him, though. I'll stop polluting this thread with non EFL chat.
  4. I really liked this too and am coincidentally listening to the audiobook. Weird how much Martin Jarvis sounds like David Tennant. Favourite minor bit was in episode 5 when the 4 Horsemen turn up in Tadfield to ask for directions and the tiny sausage dog is clearly having a paddy and has to be picked up.
  5. Watford away AGAIN. At least we know what to expect this time around. 2-0 to Watford then.
  6. Wolves are currently the fifth highest spenders in Europe according to F365. That said, I guess the transfer window hasn't really gathered pace yet and some clubs with deep pockets (Real Madrid being the notable exception), haven't really got going. Still, that's a hell of an achievement for Wolves.
  7. I'm in the same boat. Although I justify it by having an account or two for our smart speakers. Also it's cheaper than 2 premium accounts.
  8. I hadn't heard of Crush Crush so I watched part of the video below. Is this what all Crush Crush players are like? Pretending to play it ironically but not really ** crying emoji **
  9. Huddersfield Town have released Regan Booty. I demand that someone sign him as a player with such an obvious pornstar name must play regular first team football somewhere.
  10. Buck Rogers had space rockers, hilarious misinterpretations of 20th century items, the Buck Kick and Tigerman. But yes, it will be mostly remembered for Wilma Deering and Princess Ardala. As to Worzel Gummidge - why not make Sean Pertwee a threatening version of the character?
  11. Paul Darrow One of the coolest antiheroes of the 70s and early 80s who also had a flashback in the first person like normal people do. Gutted. "I'm not not expendable, I'm not stupid and I'm not going"
  12. Next season's Brighton kit. It's basically the same every year, but I kind of like the black accents in the home kit which bleed into the full on referee away kit. Still presumably Nike pattern kits and the black away kit has a whiff of the pink Leicester "stick a badge on it and add £25" kit. But I like the black badge.
  13. I think we have the bloke from Swansea lined up. I know nothing about him other than he's made them more attacking which is what we want. But they finished 10th in the Championship.

I have never liked the word "flavourful". I think it is mostly used by people who aren't very good at adjectives.
  15. As a Brighton fan (and I use that term lightly given our performance in 2019), I'd love this to be true. And the fact that Palace of all teams did us a huge favour, I feel we should be paying it forward and trying to beat City. But that probably isn't going to happen. That said, we've only ever been beaten by a 2 goal margin by City since getting promoted, which obviously doesn't help Liverpool. Pep has just won manager of the month which, for most managers outside the top six would be an instant curse. Probably not him though.
  16. It was a compliant about cultural imperialism more than anything.
  17. Not that I was ever a great fan of Enterprise, but that final scene at the end of S4 must have been a real kick in the teeth for the true fans of the show.
  18. The first Expendables film - They should have mostly died like the Magnificent Seven. But I understand why they didn't because they wanted a franchise to celebrate right wing toxic masculinity.
  19. Just come back from this. My main takeaway was that Chang and Shirley from Community were in it. Also I didn't like the fact that they turned the final battle into an NFL game like we all know what that is. I imagine these things have been discussed to death in the preceding 34 pages - sorry.
  20. If it wasn't for Bran, Euron would be by far the most annoying clown character in this show.
  21. As a Brighton fan, I desparately want this to be true but I fear we might scrape a draw against Cardiff given how we struggled against Huddersfield a few weeks ago. Wolves are simply much better than us (that win against you earlier in the season aside) so our poor current form coupled with our abysmal away form will probably result in a Wolves win.
  22. Captained Duffy and even though he shipped 5 he is on 0 which, when I consider that I captained Pogba earlier in the season when he missed a penalty and got a card ending up on -2, is a passable result given the horrendous scoreline.
  23. As a Brighton fan, I'm pleased to see so many people activating the awesome power of Shane Duffy. As a fantasy manager, I don't know if it is the most wise course of action but I'm all aboard the Duffy train.
  24. If you're over 30 or wear glasses (or both) it's fine. You'll find that Internet people will use hyperbole like "worse than DVD!" or "like a PSOne/VHS tape!" but if you're happy with how something like BBC1 (non HD) looks on your TV now, then it is no worse than that in my experience. Obviously it is dependent on the app you're using (I find Now TV's apps vary wildly depending on the device), the bandwidth you have available and whether or not you're actually watching it as opposed to looking at your phone instead but I think it is good enough, just not stellar.
