  1. I think this season has been less about the wrestling and more about the characters having meaningful conversations. I'm only up to episode 7 but I think it's shaping up to be the best of the three seasons so far. But it isn't the most fun.
  2. Gah! I left Lundstram on the bench in favour of double Liverpool Chelsea and Everton defence.
  3. An annoying VAR-inspired draw with West Ham feels a bit like a loss. But Trossard is shaping up to be a Primark version of Hazard which is what we need. We do need those 3 points off Southampton next week, though in preparation for the battering from City at the Etihad in GW4 and to try and preserve our Champions League spot.
  4. It's unfortunate that it was such a high scoring gameweek. Even with a score a few points above the average I feel I've not done well. Biggest disappointments - Chelsea although they do have a run of better fixtures coming up.
  5. We beat Watford for the first time in like 9 games. And away! And we scored more than 1 goal. I believe in Harvey Dent Graham Potter. Decent point for Sheffield United aswell. I hope we get to play Bournemouth when they're in one of their crap cycles. We always seem to miss them.
  6. So weird that we signed Mooy but Huddersfield also gave him an extension. I assume they're gambling on us wanting to sign him on a permanent deal once the loan spell is up. It feels like they've let one of their better players go though which probably isn't what they need right now.
  7. No I didn't bother. It doesn't mean I wont, rather it's not a priority.
  8. Just got hold of Hyperion and the oft-recommended "We are Legion". However, I don't understand how these daily deals are supposed to work. The first Eisenhorn book was on sale yesterday for £2 but the site appeared to want me to add it as part of a 2 for one and pay with credits (which are obviously more expensive than paying £2). I feel like a confused Baby Boomer but I don't understand the mechanism which would have allowed me to simply pay £2 for Eisenhorn by itself rather than buy it as part of a 2 for 1.
  9. I don't think so. I also believe that it's about how you set up for this season more than it is about how you performed last season. Palace are the outside relegation worries. There's an interesting F365 opinion piece which has coloured my thinking somewhat but it made a compelling argument for their slow decline and it does talk up Bournemouth as the closest comparison. The top 2 might pretty much be set in stone but from about 10th - 20th, it's anyone's game. Maybe not as volatile as the Championship but I think it'll be pretty fluid (well, viscous at the very least),
  10. To be fair with your hot takes on films you haven't seen over the years, I think this is the perfect medium for them. Will millennials and Generation Z accept the opinion of a Gen Xer though?
  11. So it looks like Knockeart is going to Fulham. He's a bit of a try hard and a red card magnet but I'll miss him and he did get premiership goal of the month this year (immediately followed by a straight red). Having another angry man on the pitch alongside Mitrovic may not be the best strategy, though.
  12. It's ambition will probably outstrip it's budget and the actors available to it, yes. But I'll still watch it. If they manage to contrive to make it like Dredd, then it might work but I think they'll want something on a much bigger scale. I assume it'll end up being something similar to Forward Unto Dawn. Regardless, I'll still watch it.
  13. Dan Ashworth says that there has been no contact from Leicester around signing Dunk. I still think they're more likely to sign Ake or Tarkowski. And we're more likely to lose Knockeart to Fulham as they have made a formal approach for him. EDIT - I realise this thrilling Brighton update is really only of interest to me.
  14. West Ham about to spend £45 million on Sebastien Haller is quite interesting, but the quote from Pellegrini at the end is pretty brutal
  15. With regard to player valuations there was quite a good piece on F365 a few days back which essentially said that the price shouldn't be read as a universal valuation, rather what a team is willing to pay for a player at a point in time because they fit a philosophy, team dynamic or system. Leicester will be motivated to replace Maguire so clubs in the UK at least will price their defenders accordingly. I still think the whole thing is a bit cloudy around Maguire with reports today suggesting that he's come to an agreement with Leicester that he can go if Man U meet the price, but he hasn't put in a formal transfer request.
  16. Has Maguire to Man U been announced? I only care as the knock on effect might be Dunk to Leicester (although it might just as easily be Ake or Tarkowski). I should imagine it might be more likely to be one of the other two but given we have 5 centre backs, selling Dunk wouldn't be disastrous.
  17. I re-watched Terminator Salvation last night assuming that all the bad stuff was contained in that one and Genisys, whilst terrible, did at least have nostalgia on it's side. Anyway it turns out that there are a few good visual bits with Hunter-Killers vs A10's and that massive human collector machine they nicked from War of the Worlds but it's not really worth watching for the 5 minutes they're onscreen. How have Terminator, Alien, Predator AND Robocop all been turned into a set of franchises which increasingly diminishing returns? Have they all been mis-handled or are there simply no more stories to tell after one or two films?
  18. As long as you can prove you never use iPlayer then you don't have to pay for it. But obviously now you have to sign into iPlayer then it's not like you can not pay the TV licence and still use it.
  19. I thought the music was great although when "original score by ..." came up in the end credits I did wonder if the person who scored Lords of Salem would dispute how original it actually was.
  20. This is a chilling warning that humanity must never try to base a religion on Wes Anderson films.
  21. Kids these days like sitting down at gigs. Preferably under a tartan blanket with a flask of tea.
  22. Got Nottingham standing tickets aswell! I was surprised that See Tickets wasn't crawling at 10 AM and it just allowed me to check out without any hassle. First time that's happened in a few years.
  23. Apparently I've been automatically re-enrolled - Trossard's Giants
  24. I'm new to the world of audible having signed up for a free trial the other month to get Good Omens. Are these 2 for 1 sales a perpetual thing? I bought 3 extra credits and have just grabbed Pattern Recognition and the Douglas Adams book and it would be quite easy to blow the other two on 4 other titles in the next few days but it might also be worth my while waiting for the next sale assuming they're regular. Also, is the BBC dramatization of the 7 Discworld novels decent?
  25. I should imagine if you got annoyed by the silly witch stuff at the end of Hereditary, this might well be more of the same, judging by some of the brief floaty bits in the trailer. Personally, I love silly witch stuff.
