  1. Been a while, was fun to hook up for a raid again
  2. Was a lot of fun helping guide the newcomers through VoG, thanks for the invite.
  3. Tonight was excellent, thanks for the Flawless run guys, so many funny moments along the way. Purple Jizz Down!
  4. Great session folks! Thanks to everyone, it was tense but bloody good fun. Positive mental attitude wins every time. As Capp said, I'm more than happy to help those who still don't have Flawless, you know what to do
  5. Yep still up for attempting this, will see you guys tomorrow night.
  6. If you give me 15 I can jump in on my Titan, done it with all my other characters this weekend.
  7. Count me in, Wednesday is the only night I can't do it (VoG night innit), so any other time is grand with me.
  8. Congrats on knocking out the Flawless Raider trophy guys, well done. Feel free to throw us an invite if anyone runs it again during the coming week, only one I need to get now.
  9. Good run in Trials last night, the last game on our card was baffling as the team quit before it started?! Ended the card 9-2 (had the mercy boon so counting that) and managed to get The Messenger as well, which is a beast in Crucible
  10. *Throws Hunter/Titan/Warlock off the Tower*
  11. Time Wasted on Destiny: 5 weeks 4 days 19 hours 17 seconds Do I get a free can of red bull for that?
  12. A good haul, thanks to all who turned up, really enjoying raiding again, its so much fun. As per usual I got a Mythoclast apologies to whoever I stole it from I want this for my hunter:
  13. Video from Crota the other night when he went walkabout
  14. Aye, was a cracking evening of raiding, have missed it for sure. Thanks to everyone who turned up, was a lot of fun
  15. Count me in if you need anyone for a raid, either VoG or Crota
  16. Wavy is spot on. I find normal crucible is filled with people running around with shotguns and a mixture of Hawkmoon and The Last Word (which is a bigger beast than Thorn ever will be IMO after being encouraged to upgrade and use it after it dropping countless times for me in raids) amongst others.Thorn appears for sure, but so does Hawkmoon and being one-shotted by that if Luck in the Chamber happens to kick in at that moment is no different to being dominated by someone who is god tier with TLW, it's just that folks notice Thorn a lot more. I use Thorn (mostly on my Warlock, but recently did the bounty on my Hunter as I was sick of being offered it all the time) and It's fun, but it's not the game killer some would have you believe IMO.
  17. Good fun knocking out the 35 tonight with Ben and Banjaxed, and also dragging Jerico through 32's and 34's. Also got the bounty on each character so I can get all the new exotics, tidy. Thanks for the games guys.
  18. Yep, was literally gonna post to see if anyone fancied doing a 35 PoE. I'll be around at 6ish, throw us an invite
  19. Anyone drops out, or you need another give us a shout
  20. Can answer my own question on this, the next part of the quest (Queens Cypher) dropped for me from a 32 PoE treasure chest tonight. Now the wait on Variks begins.
  21. Thanks for all the IB games this weekend, was good times. I was roped into lvl 35 Skolas late last night (definitely doable, but it's not much fun is it?) and got the Elder Cypher, well two actually. How is the next part of the quest for those who've finished it? Got a few keys so I'm set for that, just wondered if the Queens Cypher portion was relatively painless in terms of it dropping from the main chest after finishing 32/34 runs of PoE? Ta in advance
  22. Your welcome mate, I said I'd help you through one when I had the time and I did
  23. I'll happily take a couple of folks through 32 PoE this afternoon. Remember and use your mic as it's needed for co-ordination and the like. Will be on from 2pm.
  24. Glad folks are responding to my post in a good way. I reckon taking my post, adding the other contributions that came after mine with you adding structure to it would be great. I say go for it
  25. Seeing a lot of "interesting" opinions on Trials of Osiris a few pages back, here's my thoughts on it. Tried it out with Jerico and Ben, then Ben and Rambo, scoping it out, getting a feel for it. Got hammered as we played very conservative and soon found out that wasn't the way to go about it. We also had some good rounds, where it clicked for a bit, but it was obvious we were coming up against folks who were organised. You take that on board. Then I had a few matches with Baz and RobotFalcon101. Taking what had been learned from my previous matches, I could feel myself contributing more and generally getting the hang of it. Took what I learned into that match, the whole push and pull, constant communication and when to be aggressive and when not to. So, on Monday this happened: Which in turn meant I can enjoy the fun of sitting in this bad boy Yes I'm a big kid Now, as anyone will tell you who game with me regularly, I'm average when it comes to PvP, but ToO is a different kettle of fish. I learned from all of the above games, here's what I took from it all. 1) You can't be carried, it's just that simple. Learn to communicate and contribute, become valuable to your team, don't hesitate, be decisive. 2) Use weapons you are 100% comfortable with and make sure they're 365. It's all very well and good going in with a Hawkmoon or a Vex Mythoclast, but it needs to be upgraded fully. The same goes for any weapon at all really as the level advantages are in play here. 3) Do not blame your team mates for failure. You win together, you fail together. Give credit where due, commiserate when you lose. You have no divine right to win, you have to earn it. Some rounds you won't hit a target or register a kill, but the next round you could be totally MLG no-scope 360 killah and save your teams backside. 4) Stick relatively close together. Your team mates can't help you if you're on the other side of the map and you come across the entire opposition team by accident. Go scouting but never drift too far from each other. 5) ALWAYS BUY THE BUFFS! Always do the daily PvP for passage coins, and as Wavy pointed out, if you do the HoW playlist in the PvP section, it will literally piss coins at you. After 3 matches on one character, I had 19 after spunking all mine away at the weekend. Takes no time at all, and will help you when you get to the end of a trials passage. 6) Finally? ENJOY! You'll lose heavily, you'll get more cheese being thrown at you than an Emmental convention, but you'll also win, and it'll be glorious, trust me. Ultimately I might never get to Mercury again, but I'll have fun trying each week I hope others will add their own experiences and advice.
