  1. They definitely tinker with audience laughter in the mix, Have I Got News For You is particularly bad for this, you can hear the exact same bit of "canned" laughter which they use in every episode to paper over edits.
  2. She said on twitter it was heck.
  3. Events impact people. I don't really see why anyone (apart from the producers etc) has a problem with Carrey changing his mind about the film.
  4. No doubt it did, but the threat of rape still seems like a very disturbing idea to introduce in a show like this, granted there were other dark themes going on like genocide, but sexual violence just seemed totally incongruous with the tone of Doctor Who.
  5. Absolutely gobsmacked at that line from Solomon about "breaking in" Nefertiti, how the hell did that make it from script to broadcast?
  6. Louis was tweeting throughout the episode too: Loubot2000
  7. Can anyone identify the piece of music that opens every episode of the Story of Film: An Odyssey?

New series soon! Nathan's 10 minute send-off episode is on the e4 site (requires registration) or watch on youtube. Also a trailer for series 3 on youtube.
  9. Pretty poor lineup for his first show back.
  10. I watched the first episode, most of the it was filled with a pointless apprentice style task, and showed about 30 seconds of each performers set. Waste of time.
  11. Yeah, I also thought the tone was all over the place. There were just too many scenes where I couldn't tell if they were meant to be intentionally funny or not. Gatehouse kept me watching though.
  12. Love Adam Curtis, but this is pretty funny:
  13. Colombian movie called El Paramo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfPBT-RWtLU
