    SNES Mini

Considering how Nintendo has been burnt before in trying to anticipate customer demand for their products, 'less is more' is their new motto. They sold 2.3 millions Nes Minis. For them, that's enough of a success. Why would they want to open themselves up to the possibility having unsold hardware being sent back to them by retailers yet again? It happened with both the Gamecube and the Wii U.

Can't take the credit for the edit there. Appears someone with mod powers beat me to it.

  8. Well, he did contribute to accelerating the fall of Sega which is why Sony weren't exactly running towards him with a blank cheque for Shenmue 3. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/may/02/shenmue-sega-classic-14-years-too-late He's been placed in whatever the videogaming industry's version of 'movie jail' is - http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=movie jail He gambled a lot on Shenmue with Sega's money and it didn't pay off. Hope Shenmue 3 pays off for all involved. After all, 3rd time's a charm, right?
  9. Went to see this again at the BFI IMAX last night. They've updated the subbed version so it now has song subtitles. It's still showing in a few cinemas over the next couple of weeks - http://yournamethemovie.co.uk/

    Anime

Apparently it's business as usual...for now. Wonder why they didn't buy it 100% outright? Funimation, Crunchyroll, Amazon and Netflix are now the 4 big players in the Anime streaming market in the west. Netflix appears to be charging ahead with going it alone by funding a lot of new anime shows - https://www.polygon.com/2017/8/2/16085266/netflix-anime-series-trailers-release-dates Not simulcasting is probably going to become an issue for them at some point. What's the point of stockpiling Kakegurui episodes until 2018? Anime fans aren't known for their patience. Amazon's $159 (not a typo) double paywall of both Prime ($99) and Strike ($60) for US anime fans is also enraging them immensely - http://kotaku.com/amazon-s-big-anime-platform-is-splitting-the-anime-comm-1794640252 That's one way to get anime fans torrenting again. In more positive news, Crunchyroll was able to get the streaming rights for the original Naruto series expanded to all users worldwide - http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2017/08/12/crunchyroll-expands-availability-for-the-original-naruto-anime-series Maybe One Piece to follow suit one day...

Then I'd recommend checking out some of the older anime shows at viewster.com (if you haven't already) - http://www.viewster.com/ They haven't delisted everything just yet - https://animeuknews.net/2017/06/numerous-anime-titles-have-disappeared-from-streaming-site-viewster-for-the-uk-ireland/

    SNES Mini

Now? C'mon, that's being generous. It became a fuckfest when UK pre-orders went up randomly causing a panic and became a bigger fuckfest when it became clear US pre-orders didn't open at the same time (and still haven't). It's bordering on a total fuckfest at this point due to the order cancellations and it's only July. Still got 12 weeks to go. It only becomes a complete fuckfest if Nintendo can't fill the demand in the 3 whole months of October to December that this Mini-SNES is supposed to be on sale for. Wonder how many they'll actually be able to make? If the Mini-NES console was 2.3 million total shipped, are we looking at 5 million+ Mini SNES consoles or is that way too optimistic?

    Anime

Death Note World Premiere takes place on 24/08/17 at Cineworld Leicester Square - http://www.frightfest.co.uk/2017films/death-note.html In other news, All the Anime now has info about their upcoming cinema releases on their site - https://shop.alltheanime.com/pages/cinema-screenings-by-alltheanime Starts with http://genocidalorganmovie.co.uk/ next week.
  22. Surely OP should've titled the thread 'Are you all N.Sane?'
  23. Really? Amazon.co.uk still have new stock of FE:SOV Special Edition - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XSGFB42/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1498901455&sr=8-2&keywords=fire+emblem+echoes That's way too pricey. Even If it came with the 2 new Metroid amiibos (which it doesn't), that's way too much. £49:99 would be a more reasonable price point. It's Metroid so it's possible they'll put another tenner on top to make it £59:99. Guess the official price will be known soon.
