  1. I saw it last night. Was very enjoyable, but unlike the first one, I guessed the ending long before the end. Loved that Rian Johnson just made a two-hour long roast of though. Oh and it had a couple of great cameos.
  2. The 12 berserker fights are probably the closest analogy I’d say! You’ve not got to the first one yet though.
  3. I wrote part of the book in that thumbnail!
  4. V. C. Andrews wrote Flowers in the Attic, which was hugely popular in the early 80’s. She’s probably best known for publishing just seven novels before her death in 1989, and over 70 more posthumously, making her the ultimate ghost writer.
  5. I saw it at the London Film Festival and it was an amazing screening. During the solo at the end the entire crowd was holding its breath, was absolutely brilliant.
  6. I quite enjoyed Wakanda Forever, but I think the reason that a lot of the Phase Four films have landed badly is because Marvel have stretched themselves really thin. In previous years they only had 2 movies to worry about, these days it’s 3, plus 3-4 tv series. I think they’re just not able to keep up the tight grip on quality control that they once had.
  7. Yeah I went to see it unaware of that plot line to cheer myself up two days after my mum died from cancer.
  8. If you’ve seen at least Con Air and Face/Off you’ll be all good for 70% of the gags, and if you’ve seen Wild at Heart, 90%. But really as long as you know who Nic Cage is, you’ll probably have a good time, it’s a fun film.
  9. Completed this for the first time last night after spending almost every evening on it since it dropped on Gamepass. Overall really enjoyed it, although I thought the extra semester in Royal didn't really add much to the story. The Feb 15th scene (after I romanced the entire cast) made me laugh though.
  10. A bit like Westworld, I enjoyed the first series, but it lost me a bit halfway through the second series as it collapsed in on itself, drunk on its own cleverness.
  11. Watched this tonight, thought it was ace, and loved the various UHF nods sprinkled throughout. Though was very disappointed he didn’t catch a bullet in his mouth during one of the surprisingly numerous action scenes. Oh, and for those wondering above, it was Emo Phillips playing Dali!
  12. Well that was incredible. Can’t believe they pulled it off, one of the best things I’ve seen on stage in years. Literally cried with joy when they did the Totoro reveal.
  13. I'm going to see this tomorrow, so excited!
  14. How hardcore is this? It sounds like a fun pick for Halloween, but want to know how intense it is without spoiling the plot for myself.
  15. Way too late I know, but I had a few on my list that hadn’t been mentioned already so thought I’d post it anyway: 1. Spinal Tap 2. Monty Python’s Life of Brian 3. Harold and Maude 4. Mean Girls 5. Bringing Up Baby 6. The Producers 7. UHF 8. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels 9. Matterhorn 10. The Castle 11. Liza the Fox Fairy 12. The Hunt For The Wilderpeople 13. Office Space 14. Galaxy Quest 15. Muriel’s Wedding 16. Four Lions 17. Borat 18. Spider-Man: Enter the Spiderverse 19. Jacky in the Kingdom of Women 20. The Guard
  16. It’s fiend not friend! Coincidentally, the latest Documentary Now two parter, Shadow of Illusion, is a Herzog parody, mainly parodying My Best Fiend and Burden of Dreams, although there is a Grizzly Man nod in there too.
  17. Is it available to watch anywhere?
  18. This kind of worked for me as a fan of the original. Definitely the best thing he’s made in a VERY long time, but that’s a pretty low bar admittedly.
  19. Wow, the opening 10 minutes of this was stunning. Really wish I’d seen this on the big screen, but still thought it was really powerful.
  20. I thought the original Goodnight Mommy was great though, so the toothless remake is a timely reminder to watch the original if you’ve not seen it.
  21. Really loved this. Think they need to give you a pollen detector post-credits to help you mop up though, like Psychonauts 2 did.
  22. This one is a bug that seems to affect new clips - if you get rumbling at the start, just back out and go back in and if the rumble is not supposed to be there it will disappear.
  23. This spoiler-filled explanation of the meta story has been floating around the internet and it seems to track pretty well with what I’ve seen:
  24. Does this finish Stone Ocean, or are there still a load more episodes left? I want to wait until the whole arc is done before I binge it.
  25. I think I found one of those moments you mentioned and it completely made me jump when it happened.
