Make sure you do,with every listen this album gets better and better
-
Looking forward to this issue, even though I have subscribed on the promise of a free Namco gaming system that they have yet to send me.
-
Does that mean you are based around the Southampton area then?
-
What is it with all this Delorean shit? I must have missed that reference

Wandrin Star by Lee Marvin!!!!!
-
They are all good tracks, especially Alzheimers, but not the best tracks on the album.IMO they are Christmas Song and Baby You Should know, especially Baby you should know.....
-
Oh yes, cannot wait for that one. Seems like the dream compilation to me
-
Listening to this album now and the more I play it,the more it becomes indispensible. Each time another track becomes my favourite. The last that happened was The Pixies' Doolittle.A different type of album but the same kind of rush
-
But a very talented one at that. Looking forward to the compilation, but then I have most of the originals anyway. Seen them many times when they were still a touring band.Including a gig on Valentines day many years ago when their sheer volume made me deaf for two days after

'Baby you should know'is pure MBV.I long for anew MBV album. Its been far too long
-
I cannot recommend this album enough.Heard a couple of tracks a few months ago and have waited for what seemed like ages for this album to come out. Christmas Song and Baby You Should Know are up there with the finest My Bloody Valnetine songs IMO. Well worth a listen *Just realised I never mentioned the album title 'American Whip'*

Hadi it off of Soulseek a few weeks ago and must admit its a right grower. Forgot it was out yesterday as I spent the day in bed, sick, but bought the limited edition version today and can't wait to see the DVD that comes with it.

Retro Gamer - Now Every Six Weeks!
sofasurfer replied to roberthazelby's topic in Retro & Arcade Gaming
I subscibed ages ago on the promise of a free Namco game system and it has yet to arrive even though they said it would take 28 days at most. Might have to give them a call in the morning -
Whilst I really enjoyed the movie, there are so many glaring inconsistencies that they really grate when you watch it again. The most obvious being when the power goes down and they have to go into the car park. They never at any point put the power back on but then magically it is on when they are leaving the mall. Thought the end credits were great, really made the whole audience sit through them, rather than the mad rush to the exit that usually occurs. I loved the whole pre-credits sequences, really moody and accomplished, especially the little girl zombie. When I saw it again last night, half way through one of the audience jumped out of his seat, and ran up the stepped aisle, tripping and falling flat on his face!I thought he had just tripped but he actually passed out and had to be revived. He then passed out again and had to be helped out of the cinema. When he first came too he said he wasn't epileptic or taken anything and had only had a couple of beers. Either he was on something or all this zombie mayhem made him ill.Never seen anything like it before.

Sounds good to me. My idea of a great evening Valiant. If you are ever down in Kent, make sure you PM me and we can meet up

Gattaca... What a film. Must watch that again, been far too long.
-
Double disc set, with 230 mins of extras on the second disc. Although this comprises of interviews with each actor in the film. Thought it was much better than 'average' and the acting of Jeremy Northam makes the film in my opinion. Loads of nice Hitchcock homages in it as well.

The album is ok but seems to hang around the singles.Long Time Coming is one of my favourite tunes of the year so far,and I have to support them as they come from hometown, even if they do look like a bunch of indie student throwbacks. Well worth downloading off of Soulseek if you want to hear it.
-
So there I was listening to XFM tonight when they play the Magnet single, the cover of Lay Lady Lay,and so I think about ordering it from Amazon. But lo and behold Soulseek has it ready to download, and so I do. Is the album as good as this cover version, because I will buy it if you recommend it. Add into being able to hear the Delays album way before its released and Soulseek becomes indispensible. God bless them

Yes,everyone dies of a scientific experiment, and the only people who survive are the ones who die at the exact moment that the experiment takes place and thus very few people are alive afterwards. Great end sequence. And you can pick the DVD up from Play very cheaply, but the quality isn't all that.

Had this on import for a few months now and still love it.Its a good racer, buy it

Is there a book on this wonderful film?I have an old copy on VHS and bought the dodgy Region 0 version recently,in all its 4:3 goodness And yes there, have been two film versions of I am Legend, but none of them meet the majesty of the book
-
Absolute class. This film ranks up there with the best in my opinion. The visual style is superb and Jeremy Northam is superb as the, supposedly, hapless company man. I travelled twice into Londo to see this film at the cinema and couldn't wait to buy it,so was extremely grateful when Play sent it to me three days ahead of the release day! The only downer is that some people have a problem with the ending but after watching it a few times it does fit in with the general tone of the film. This is one of those films I could watch again and again.
-
They WERE going to be attached to the project but backed out. Don't forget Will Smith was going to star in Phone Booth until he didn't think the movie would be any good and so declined to star. I am Legend is a damn fine book and a damn fine movie just waiting to happen.Just imagine if David Fincher were to film it!

Have to agree with the Flux Trax recommendations.Absolute class B)
