  1. I’m honestly not trying to be controversial, but Andor 2/5 and that’s being generous. Not for me and I only carried on watching so I could watch Rogue One (which I’m not even sure I’ll bother with now). I’m happy everyone else loved it though. I dare not post my thoughts in the main thread as it’s such a positive vibe in there.
  2. Moon Knight Two hours of story stretched over a lot longer runtime. Excellent cast 3/5 Ju On Origins One of the most fucked up things I have ever seen. 3/5
  3. This runs like shit on my sky q. Buffering constantly, the age restriction popping up all the time. Terrible picture quality. Netflix, Disney and prime are all fine. I sat down to watch some of the Halo show and then to follow up with Star Trek First Contact. I had to give up on watching both.
  4. I am with you on this. I am finding this one to be slightly better than the first.
  5. I was very pleasantly surprised by Black Adam when I saw it in a virtually empty screening yesterday. Perhaps a little too beholden to the Snyder look at times, but good fun and what impressed me was how each character had time to breathe and develop. A solid 7/10 from me.
  6. This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the film.
  7. I think this is a much better game than the first one. Much less frustrating to play, everything feels much more refined.
  8. Just watched episode 1. Enjoyed it a lot, but can someone please explain how the time travel rules work. I was just completely baffled by the end of the episode.
  9. I re-watched a few of my past favorites to prepare my top 20. Previously, I would have put Blazing saddles in my top 10, but sad to say that I didn't find it particularly funny at all on this occasion. And how on earth did I forget Time Bandits!
  10. Ok.. here’s my list 20 - Coming to America 19 - What we do in the Shadows 18 - Beetle juice 17 - Ghostbusters 16 - Vacation 15 - Top Secret 14 - Young Frankenstein 13 - Midnight Run 12 - Rushmore 11 - Grimsby 10 - planes Trains and Automobiles 9 - Who Framed Roger Rabbit 8 - Clerks 7 - Wayne’s world 6 - Life of Brian 5 - Austin Powers international man of mystery 4 - Trading Places 3 - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels 2 - Scott Pilgrim versus the world 1 - Withnail and I
  11. I have failed to complete XC1 despite starting it numerous times on numerous formats. I also bounced off XC2 hard. What was it about 3 that made it such a joy to play?
  12. I am thinking of picking up this game. Now that I am a proud Series X owner which version should I go for? I can choose Series, Ps4 or PS5.
  13. I thought this looked awful from the trailer. To learn it comes from the same director as Atomic Blonde (quite possibly the worst film I’ve ever seen) is no surprise.
  14. Pure nostalgia. It still runs ok IMHO though
  15. Nice bonus at work means I’m now a proud owner of both a series S and X. First game I tried was Cyberpunk which I only played a few hours of on my base PS4 on release. It’s an amazing game that shows off the new console brilliantly. Next up was Assassins Creed Odyssey which looks like it was released yesterday. Finally I’ve been playing Immortals which looks absolutely fantastic on both. Seriously impressed with both, particularly the S which is blowing my mind with its awesome dinkiness. So glad I took the plunge but don’t want to sell off my One X yet. Still my favourite console of all time.
  16. So, I watched episode 2 yesterday and couldn’t believe how poor it was. The lead is a charisma vacuum with no screen presence at all. The rest of the cast are almost as bad and the whole production looks cheap. So, I thought I’d try something else in the SW universe. This sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole. I started with the Obi Wan series which I binged in one go. I loved it! This then led to me watching the prequels today. I hated the first two but thought the third was ok. The CGI was awful in places. I doubt I will watch them again but it was interesting to see what all the fuss was about. Finally I watched Solo which was a welcome return to form after the prequels. I understood that this was poorly received but I thought it was very good. I might carry on with Andor but only if it’s on in the background.
  17. I thought the first episode was like watching paint dry. My past exposure to the franchise is the OT and the ST along with RO and a few Mandolorian episodes so I’m not a huge fan of anything.
  18. I suppose that, for me, they are easy to compare because they both started at the same time, are both fantasy tv shows, are both based on popular book series and are both mega hyped.
  19. Not a fan of this show so far. It seems very low budget compared to Rings of Power and the characters are boring/unlikable/both. The sex scenes scream of immature manchild plotting.
  20. I was a huge fan of the PS3 and certainly preferred it’s exclusives compared to the Xbox 360. That terrible controller was the only poor thing about it as far as I was concerned.
