Missed the email about Dangun finally shipping from Limited Games - its been so long! Checked the tracking - its been sent via DHL - but in a full week still hasn't left the USA yet. Fucking hell

Aye, mine’s gone from North Carolina to Illinois. I assume a man walked there with it it’s taken so bloody long.

  2. When it comes to gaming buddies none of them really have the same tastes as me.

2 guys I work with are usually into the latest and greatest, there's occasionally overlap here, we played the shit out of The Division a few years back, tried a bit of Monster Hunter too.

My arcade buddies are all unsurprisingly into arcade games, I only really game with them when we meet up and it's at an arcade.

Most of my mates play FIFA or a bit of GTA, some play COD Warzone. I don't really enjoy any of those games.

The rest of my mates think I'm a fucking idiot because I have a room full of games

My interests are mostly in fighting games, shoot em ups or games from Ryu ga Gotoku Studio. I do like to try other stuff out of course. Recently I've loved Hades, Chaosbane, Crows: Burning Edge, Necromunda: Hired Gun etc. so I'm not totally stuck in my ways.

I don't really know what I'm getting at here other than to say everyone has different tastes. It's a bummer when your mates are constantly bringing stuff down, nobody needs that. I only really game with my mates when we find that special thing we all like, but when it happens it's bloody brilliant.

Algorand is extremely light-weight, near instantaneous, and carbon-negative. There'd be zero impact on the gaming experience, I imagine.

Thanks, it's interesting to hear how some of this stuff works without diving into a 10 hour youtube video with acronyms being flung at you.

I still don't see anything new that doesn't have existing tech in place, but at least I understand how they may now integrate this.

That would also be an option. My idea isn't going to make Steam go away.

It would have to perform random ledger checks throughout the game. Piracy could potentially be over with.

Ah interesting. Now preventing piracy could definitely be a good thing. Any idea how intensive on systems or the blockchain ledger checks would be?

I kept a diary of what I found when I was a fresh faced eighteen year old in 1998.  It's super cringey to read back (as a 41 year old) but in 1998 I worked on odd days at an insurance broker in Ellesmere Port on the Wirral. I present to you. 22nd June 1998:

I don't normally work on Monday, but I had to make up for a day. And on Monday, near where I work is a Flea market! I went first at 8am and picked up a Bomb Sweeper G+W, Donkey Kong JR G+W, Octopus G+W and a copy of PB's Death Star Battle for the 2600 (£1). I then went back at Lunchtime, and found 3 more double screen G+W's: Green House, Zelda and Donkey Kong. Not a bad day at all!

Bloody hell, how times have changed.

  6. Yeah I must admit I’m a little nervous about this release, particularly on the switch. I really, really wish M2 had handled it. I’m just going for the Japanese versions, I can’t be arsed with Strictly Limited if I can avoid them. They took forever on the last batch I ordered, months after the original due date.

I died after having a heart attack from knocking on a door anyway. :hmm:

😂 Sorry, this game sounds nuts. I'm holding out for the physical version, can't wait to try it.

Just found my old PSP in its case - battery literally popped out the back as soon as I took it out. I couldn't work it out why it wouldn't go back in, and then you see it doesn't fit

Glad I read this thread - looks like getting another battery is a pointless exercise.

I can't remember if this thing will just work off the mains, or if it needs the battery inserted to work?

Yeah they'll run from mains, just checked it on mine. My battery seems to be ok expansion-wise, doesn't hold a great charge though.
