  1. Chalk me up as another who enjoyed it for what it is, a fairly solid L.A. based buddy cop film with elves, orcs and fairies. I know it's never going to win any awards for being the best film or the like but I would love to see a sequel.

  3. If I could resurrect only one series it would have to be the short-lived Middle-Man tv series. It was absolute class with some kooky humour, great performances and was very well-written. I was upset when it was cancelled and it gets an annual viewing now. If you can find it, I'd recommend it.
  4. Was that Daniel Day-Lewis uncredited cameoing as the Gimble's Santa?
  5. NSFW Trailer. From Wiki; Nick Sax (Christopher Meloni) is an alcoholic ex-cop turned hitman who lives his days with drugs and cynicism. After he is shot and left for dead, he revives while in the care of paramedics and can now see a small, blue, winged unicorn named Happy (voiced by Patton Oswalt). Happy is the imaginary friend of a little girl named Hailey, who has been kidnapped by a deranged man dressed as Santa Claus, and had escaped to seek Nick's help in finding her. Nick and his new "partner" now must work together to save her. Just watched the first episode and it's very brutal and quite funny.
  6. This was good, like classic Top Gear. And as the new Top Gear was getting good in season 2 it's a win-win situation
  7. I found this picture of Harvey Weinstein and his wife. Seriously, fuck that guy. Or don't, as that's exactly what he wants.
  8. He was really good in 13 Hours so I think he'll be pretty good.
  9. Just finished the latest series. Jeebus, that got dark but it's such a great series. The ending was perfect and season 5 can't come quick enough for me.
  10. Yeah, but honestly without Allen bouncing off of Rickman it's not going to match up to the excellence of the film. The Orville has some great potential and personally I hope it succeeds alongside the more serious nature of scifi which ST:D is likely to be bringing.
  11. Everything is better with Jeffrey Tambor. I'm quite enjoying it really, it's nowhere near what a Galaxy Quest TV series could have been but it's the best we've got so I'll take it.
  12. Didn't realise the guy that wrote directed this, and wrote Sicario & Hell or High Water played Deputy Hale in Sons of Anarchy. Always wondered what happened to him after his gruesome on-screen death. Looks like another belter from him, will definitely try to get to see it if it's still on around here. If not I foresee a trilogy watch when it comes out on bluray.
  13. Very sad news, think I'll be watching Repo Man, Alien & Escape from New York this weekend then. RIP HDS
  14. That's a real shame, just hope that Druckman can cope with directing TLOU2's development solo. Always seemed to me that Druckman was the heart and Straley was the mind of that duo.
  15. A Jerry, Simple Rick and "Tall Morty" episode would be grand.
  16. Season 2 finale was pretty good, setup some nice threads for the next season.
  17. I played one game of this weekend's beta after playing BF1 and it's clear that this is not something I'll bother with the MP for. I'll wait for it to drop to a tenner or less on PC at CDKeys and then pick it up for the SP. I'm not bothered if it takes a while for that to happen.
  18. This is priming us for TLOU2. I'm quite simply wet with anticipation.
  19. Mine are all 80's choices and most (apart from Platoon) are dated, but still great films imo. Shut Up (Fashion) Crime! Streets of Fire King of New York To Live & Die in LA It Was (Nearly) Acceptable in the 80's The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension Flash Gordon Willow Sheen Your Shoes Mister? Repo Man Platoon The Dead Zone
  20. Binged all 8 and it was pretty good but, as has already been said, nowhere near as good as DD1 or JJ.
  21. Naah, it's; DD: Red JJ: Blue LC: Yellow IF: Green Anyway, three episodes in and I'm enjoying it. Slow boil but episode 3 is where it ramps up.
  22. Started watching it and I'm already getting annoyed at the different light filters for each character.
  23. It'd be a shame if Affleck does leave as he's been good as both the Bat & the billionaire. I'd have loved to know what his & Johns' script would've been. Still, if Reeves has a Batman trilogy planned out that's a good thing I guess. I'm fully expecting an origin story in the first film if Affleck leaves & we get a younger actor playing Bruce Wayne, but it'd be great if he followed up on Nolan's trilogy and we got Joseph Gordon Levitt's turn as the Bat.
  24. Such very sad news. The LP albums might not have been the most consistent in terms of quality but they have released some great stuff over the last 17 years. While Hybrid Theory and Meteora are what people immediately associate with them, for me Minutes to Midnight is still amazing to listen to now. RIP
