Well, to be fair, before it overwrote my old save ( ) I'd started the class 3 races and it was starting to get interesting. But the tracks, visuals (lighting in particular) and music just don't seem as...pretty - which is a lot of RR's appeal for me. Still, I'll give it more time. If only I could actually play some races online...hmm...

You know what, this isn't very good compared to Ridge Racers.
  3. P4 3Ghz 1Gb Ram GeForce 6600 256Mb 160Gb HD. Set at 1280x1024 with everything maxed except AF and v sync it runs, around 30-50FPS normally (ie, not in Org or TM).

I'm pretty sure the clock was set right when it messed overwriting my old save. If not, I've definately saved it after that with the right time set, so it should be fine.

HDD. I think the trick is only ever bring up the guide after you've selected the HDD/MU and it done the autosave, otherwise it cocks up. As for not being able to select any kind of online races (save the Global Time Trials) I'm stumped. WTF is up with that?

Just had this happen. 5 hours down the fucking drain. Also for some reason, I couldn't select Ranked or Player Match despite being clearly logged into Live.
  7. Not only was the armor vendor borked just now in TM, but I turned around and everyone dissapeared. FUN! Good luck in MC.
  8. That poor deluded soul.

To be fair, there's a lot that can be improved/enhanced.

    Banjo

Nope. Like DK64 it was a mess of terrible level design and billions of stupid collectables. Shit compared to the lovely BK. It did look nice though.
  11. So...I'll be over tommorow then? Cool.
  12. Ac!d style or just top(ish) down? Looks quite smart anyway.

Yay for custom soundtracks! Just ripped the RR4 OST and it's still ace.

So is someone gonna rename this thread to 'letterbox & 16:9 - for and against' now? I hardly think Ridge Racer 6 is appriopriate.

From what I've played so far I meant, which is all the Class 1 races in World Xplorer basically. I'm a bit worred in the apparent spike though. Previous RR games seem to have got it spot on there.

Well, despite this being rather leisurely, utter non-challenging and having some slightly dull and overcast (literally) tracks so far... I can't stop playing it. I do hope it has a couple more classic tracks in it aside from Rave City. How does it fare online?
  17. I don't need to be drunk to do that. But anyway, sorted now. It appears I'm just blind...and the game is too. At least it runs smoother now (till the next daily patch).
  18. Hang, I think it was there, but it seems to think I have no characters on there until I actually select it.

It can? It always chucks out the borders or comes out stretched on my Dell 17" LCD depending on the res. Seriously though, have a wank.
  20. Just finished a full reinstall and it's still not there. What the FUCK is going on?
  21. This calls for large amounts of alchohol.
  22. Well, it won't stop increasing, obviously, but RSC2 is still one of the lagest games available and therefore the whole 'factor of 10' increase shouldn't really be applied. Not sure what the average size of game this gen has beenm but I'd wager it was around 3gb or so - plenty of room for growth there. Of course the 360 could be fucked, but it's too hard to get past the hype and early dev waffle to tell yet.
