  1. Event Horizon. "What about my ship? You can't just leave her!" "I have no intention of leaving her, Doctor. I will take the Lewis and Clark to a safe distance, and then I will launch TAC missiles at the Event Horizon until I'm satisfied she's vaporized. Fuck this ship!" "Very good, carry on!"
  2. I wouldn't have thought so, mano. I've interviewed them before as I write for local music mag NARC., and generally found both brothers Brewis highly approachable before/after gigs.
  3. Living in Newcastle, and hailing from Sunderland, I've seen them an awful amount of times, including a Stars In Their Eyes type thing last December where they brought the house down as Fleetwood Mac. Top band, and top lads if you ever get the chance to speak to them. Londonites really should go to this, you won't be disappointed.

    Prince - 20ten

The 'secret' track is absolutely mint. Possibly the best on the album. Loving this funk.
  5. "I saw a lot of matter... today."
  6. Episode 5 is batshit mental. The brakes are off.
  7. It's completely embarrassing.

    Brilliant, cheers.
  9. Blood Money, or more specifically the suburbia hit. Sometimes I boot it up just to nut the cheery jogger then dump him down the open manhole, quitting straight after. It's therapy of a sort.

Brilliant, I've got to learn that dance from the first 30 seconds of Possessed. Floors will be torn up.

Anything Garth Hudson has ever done. Particularly: Which segues into this barnstormer: The Band, man. The Band.
  12. Exactly, which does what it says on the 'tin'. Blue Velvet, for all its bizarreness, is simple to understand also. That Lynch completely nails those feelings of confusion and unease that drench our dreams and nightmares via startling imagery, characters and sequences is, for me, what makes him a great director and what made Inland Empire one of the greatest cinema experiences of my life thus far (the one-off setting of Gateshead Town Hall with supremely comfy sofas followed by a walk through heavy fog back to Newcastle discussing the film admittedly enhanced events, but it was a match made in heaven/limbo). Let's call for filmmaking to be standardised, eh? 1 hour 40 minutes of running time will do; ban symbolism, allegory and all that other abstract nonsense; stick dear David on a freight train to the Kamchatka tundra with nowt but a flask of his own branded coffee and a 20 pack of Lambert & Butler. Dear me.
  13. The final shot is devastatingly good. Jeff Airplane as well, man. Grace Slick always does a number on me. And the next door MILF is amaze.
  14. Mine's just went. 3 months after the warranty ran out. The minute I returned home with MW2 in hand. I hate my life. Where will be the cheapest place to get an Arcade unit on its own?
  15. Quite. I enjoyed it, nonetheless. The delivery of the line (I'm probably paraphasing, but hey) tickled me most of all. Unfortunately, I was ushering the North East's opening gala so had to contend with 110 wretched bairns and some right moody chebends from Fox, but at least I got to keep the branded T-shirt. Hey ho.
  16. Gamertag: Insptr Tequila I'm great at getting shot and making brews for the team.
  17. Assault rifles strapped to a wheelchair? Sold.
  18. Gary Oldman's Nil by Mouth is a good shout for both first-time and one-time categories. It's bloody intense, and obviously personal to Oldman, but I'd love to see more from him when he hangs up the 'verbial acting boots.
  19. I'd just like to say... ...is one of the most badass lines ever delivered in the history of television.

    Rock Band!

If it's Chest Fever taken from Rock of Ages, then that's incredibly good. I love The Band a little too much.
  21. Planes, Trains is easily my favourite comedy ever, and Hughes sure knew how to get the most out of his cast and material. R.I.P. John.
  22. Give me the secret Rllmuk handshake, and I'll sort you out with a pot of spiced cashews if I'm on the bar. Gotta say, I'm really looking forward to Moon and its pared-down sci-fi slant. Rockwell's always class too.
