  1. I got Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, the thinking being a good looking and fun game I can play with the kids. For the first hour or so I was a bit confused and underwhelmed with the setting and story, so much so that I was considering binning it and doing a replay of Miles Morales or Astrobot. Kind of glad I didn’t as once it gets going it’s pretty great and quite challenging without being frustrating. It’s actually a decent shooter and plays really nicely, and looks great.
  2. As well as a new TT there’s new World Series events staring on 31/12/22. Nations cup on Saturday’s, Manufacturers on Weds. https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gt7/news/ Nations looks fun.
  3. To be honest the suspension and diff settings aren’t super obvious so I kind of shrugged and ignored them. You can save set ups so when I get chance I’ll have to have a tinker and see what’s what. Prob worth a search on Reddit or YouTube, I bet someone is doing them.
  4. Not had chance to play for a bit. Work goes crazy end of quarter. Are people using custom set ups I wonder? I’ve not had chance to experiment, I just use the stock one, but I remember Jimmy Broadbent used one went he was going for a stage record.
  5. I’m almost the opposite. I think it’s just the time I get to put into gaming these days. A lot of open world games just make me feel paralysed by choice, and the feeling I need to play 40+ hours to see a resolution can put me off. I might not play it for a week or more and then when I go back I can’t get back into it. Happened in Witcher 3, GTA4, Mad Max… Me with more gaming time like I had when I was younger would love open world RPG type games with intricate systems and lots of discovery and freedom. I don’t dislike them, I just don’t feel I can get enjoyment from playing more than one every so often. Recent exceptions are BotW and Death Stranding which I just played obsessively
  6. Yeah I saved the replays. Work is a bit crazy but when I get chance I’ll edit something and stick it on YouTube
  7. Good fun last night! Up to now £481 raised for SpecialEffect which is incredible!!
  8. The generosity of folk on here and our wider community of friends is amazing
  9. Which PS1 games had Christmas themes or levels?
  10. I got this from SpecialEffect today - thanks everyone who has supported so far, you’re doing a great thing
  11. eBay. Couldn’t find it in stock anywhere else. Paid £85 which is about the same as Droix charge
  12. I’ve order myself a Miyoo Mini as a treat and I’m dead excited. Someone nicked my SNES classic so I miss having something retro to play, and recently I’ve been reminiscing about my old Gameboy and it’s games, so a retro handheld seemed ideal.
  13. We did 90s BTCC liveries last week and we saved a Vectra one for you
  14. Donations go in full as soon as they are made to SpecialEffect via JustGiving
  15. Hi there! Any lapsed or curious Gran Turismo 7 driver out there- on Monday 19th December we’re doing our 3rd annual RLLMUK Monday Night Racing Club Xmas Charity races. Full details are in the GT7 thread. In short we’re raising money for SpecialEffect who specialise in making gaming accessible for people with disabilities. Anyone and everyone is welcome. It will be a night of fun not serious racing. If you don’t want to race you can post a Christmas livery or just donate if you can. Justgiving
  16. 🙏 please let lobby stability be in the patch notes tomorrow. Another plug for the Xmas races this coming Monday. Get your Gr3 Japanese only cars decked out with a Christmas livery and come join the chaos. Why Japanese only you ask? @Corranga ‘s idea so he can run a KFC livery in tribute to the Japanese tradition of KFC for Christmas dinner ( it’s a thing apparently). A drinking game will be in place- every time someone says “lag” it’s a shot. £161.49 raised so far by you beautiful, generous and kind people. JustGiving
  17. Dunno, the ones it picks for you are usually the right ones. The only time I change is I usually avoid the hard tyres and then sometimes take a gamble on wet or dry if the little weather forecast thing makes me think it’s going to dry up/ rain etc
  18. @CrichStand what a time on the Chile daily in the Fiesta. 20th in the world atm, very fast
  19. Rallymuk Team now up to 8 members. quite amazing how close on times me, @CrichStandand @marshare. They’ve changed the way the leaderboards work in the daily and weekly team events and I’m not sure what I’m looking at? Also we’re ranked in “Amateur” but when you look on the info tab, there’s no “Amateur” league ranking?
  20. Well the donations for the charity race next Monday 19/12/2/ 8pm UK time have started coming in and I’m amazed at the generosity of you guys. Please spread the message and donate if you can.JustGiving Please post any Xmas liveries as well, I know we’ve got some really creative people on here. @Corranga has added the SpecialEffect logos in game as decals if you want to include those in your designs.
  21. Oh man I am so pleased about this. I adored Death Stranding and all its weirdness. I don’t really play many open world games these days as I find them a bit overwhelming. The appeal to me and what kept me going in DS was not knowing or being able to guess what I would see or do next.
  22. Yep @SharkyOB is right. As annual releases they generally get better each year but the changes are fairly subtle. Generations is the best and like us doing the league, the online has plenty of users if that’s your thing. I played a bit of 9 and 10 on PS4/PS5 and they’re both great. £8.69 is a bargain.
  23. Wonder what league we’ll get dropped into? My Monte Qualifier was ok but I messed up a few hairpins- when you have to use reverse you know you’ve fucked it😖
  24. Ok that Team League qualifying rally at Monte Carlo is a pig. I hate hairpins in this game.
