  1. It does, including the DQ8 orchestral soundtrack that can be toggled from the options menu if you want some variety.
  2. I like Halo's approach to this by telling you what the intended experience is at the difficulty select screen (if there is in fact a developer intent).
  3. £70 for an interactive screensaver - just watch the cutscenes on youtube and save yourselves a few quid.
  4. This feels like a proper handheld game. No fat, a font size I can read without squinting my eyes, and speedy gameplay. Brilliant.
  5. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I noticed KOF 2002 UM had been updated with more bells and whistles on steam. I'm going to fail miserably, aren't I? (Two out of 12 down)
  6. Let's give it a go! Purchases Returnal KOF 2002 UM Steam Backlog Zelda: Breath of the Wild - I haven't played a Zelda game from start to finish since Twilight Princess - it's about time! Lost Judgment - I'm not expecting anything from this after Yakuza LAD spoiled me with turn-based combat and a bonkers story. I'll also be cheating my way out of any classic Yakuza combat I can
  7. Game of the Year 2021 A1. Bowser's Fury The whole game is just such a cohesive and joyous event without any filler content. Sure, Bowser's timing isn't always optimal when you're on a climb but that's the only criticism I have. A2. Metroid Dread A3. Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection I love the fact that this exists. A4. The gaming industry at large. Z2. The quality of the N64 emulation in the Nintendo online subscription. At this point my hope is for a decompilation of additional N64 games or an FPGA solution and we can finally be done with waiting for Nintendo to provide a sensible solution for playing old games. Z3. Sound Design of the Year S1. S2. S3. Visual Design of the Year V1. Fantasian This has hand made dioramas for both exterior and interior environments, it makes for a very nice blend of computer imagery together with something made in the real world. V2. V3. Writing of the Year W1. Deathloop Love the banter between Julianna and Colt. W2. W3. Format of the Year F1. Switch OLED I used docked mode almost exclusively with the previous version but the sturdy build and quality of the screen have been very convincing, so much that I haven't unpacked the new dock! Tetris Effect: Connected Biggest Disappointment of the Year Z1. AMD and NVIDIA GPU launches Z2. Industry accepted crunch culture etc. - I feel this was illustrated all too well when the TGA awarded Naughty Dog best direction when accounts of poor working conditions have been made public throughout the year. I know we all have a tendency to idolise the people that impress us but this is just appalling. Z3. Sound Design of the Year S1. Final Fantasy VII Remake S2. Destiny 2: Beyond Light S3. This can go straight to the bin along with Blizzard's core values.
